Chapter 1290 - 1286: Swift Actions

Igor and Kadi followed Old Cole back to the Kangen family's residence quickly.

Along the way, Igor and Kadi thought a lot, but they couldn't forget the last expression of the Princess.

That expression was incredibly determined, as if she had made that decision long ago in her heart.

"Are we just going to wait like this?" Kadi looked at Igor, as he always sought Igor's guidance whenever he was undecided.

"No, we need to take action ourselves, we can't just rely on the Princess alone."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go straight to the Alchemy Workshop, aren't they the enemies!" Kadi's thinking was still quite simple.

"We can't be so reckless; Kuyi Tulan is not someone easy to deal with," Old Cole kindly reminded them, meaning they shouldn't act rashly.

"Don't worry, even if we wanted to attack the Alchemy Workshop right now, we wouldn't have the chance," Igor said.

His words were puzzling, making it impossible for anyone to comprehend.

Kadi immediately asked, "Why is there no chance? Isn't the Alchemy Workshop right there? How has it become impossible to attack them?"

"Well, you'll understand when the time comes," Igor teased, keeping Kadi in suspense about the situation.

"Why are you hiding it from me? It definitely isn't anything good," Kadi muttered to himself, feeling dissatisfied with Igor's actions.

"Trust me, Kadi!" Igor seemed to notice Kadi's dissatisfaction and said this to comfort him.

"I trust you, but you have to give us a reason. Doing things in an unclear situation frustrates me," Kadi threw a little tantrum, clearly displeased with Igor's behavior.

After all, the two had fought side by side together, and it was truly a bit inappropriate for such a gap to arise now.

Old Cole, watching the two partners bicker, couldn't help but find the situation amusing. As the intermediary, he wasn't awkward at all; instead, he added fuel to the fire from the side.

"Igor, you're wrong to hide things like this; it's not good."

Igor stared blankly at Old Cole, thinking to himself, "Kadi doesn't understand the situation, but you do, right?" The Alchemy Workshop was currently in a state of high alert, and going there now would be like walking into a trap. Furthermore, no matter what, they couldn't let the Alchemy Workshop take notice of their actions right now.

"But I'm worried that you won't believe it once I tell you." Igor's concern was quite reasonable.

"How would you know unless you say it?" Kadi's counter-argument was logical.

"Okay, I'll say it then." Igor shrugged, giving up on insisting.

Kadi's mindset was always a bit different from others, and Igor's explanation, from an outsider's perspective, seemed purely misleading. Even Old Cole couldn't help but facepalm after hearing Igor's explanation...

Yet, Kadi felt that

Igor made a lot of sense.

This left Igor thoroughly astonished.

"Don't you find it strange at all?" Igor asked.

"No, your intuition is inherently hard to explain, and given your experiences over this time, this intuition seldom errs, so I don't find it strange at all!"

Kadi's words left Igor speechless; he felt he was overlooking a lot, yet couldn't pinpoint what. He hadn't realized the extent of Kadi's trust in him.

This also left Old Cole quite startled; he hadn't expected the bond between these two young men to reach such a level.

Old Cole was pleased that Igor and his company were allies; if these two were enemies, things would be much more troublesome.

Igor fell silent, genuinely moved by Kadi's trust in him. For a brief moment, Igor felt a twinge of emotion.

"Alright, what are we supposed to do now? We can't just remain idle like before, waiting endlessly."

"Certainly not; what we need to do now is understand what's happening outside; we can't act blindly, as it wouldn't be fair to those taking actions outside," Igor said, reasonably, believing that at this moment, it wasn't just the two of them engaged in the battle.

If they acted entirely on their own, it might disrupt others' plans, potentially causing significant trouble.

Kadi had changed since before, having spent a lot of time in reflection at the Kangen family, discovering his own flaws.

Being with Igor diminished his shortcomings because Igor helped him avoid many mistakes.

He hadn't realized this in the past, but apparently, due to the leisure during this period, he made an exceptional effort to think, finally having a moment of independent thought that greatly benefited him.

It was this reflection that led him to be insistent earlier about Igor's statement.
