After Bai Zhi’er finished speaking, the entire room fell into a deadly silence.

She clearly felt that her three brothers were staring at Feng Fuce with eyes full of murderous rage.

The Third Young Master suddenly burst out: "You actually got my sister pregnant without marrying her?!"

The Second Young Master raised his fist: "How outrageous, what do you take my sister for?!"

The Sixth Prince, without saying a word, lifted a nearby boulder, intending to smash Feng Fuce right there.

Feng Fuce didn’t have time to explain before Bai Zhi’er shouted, "Brothers, stop!"

She tightly shielded Feng Fuce: "It was my insistence to be this way, and after Fuce found out, he repeatedly wanted to marry me, but I refused him many times."

The brothers were puzzled: "Sister, why put yourself through this?"

Bai Zhi’er smiled bitterly: "There are untold hardships, but it’s all in the past now. The sky has cleared after the storm, and the child is already four years old. He’s just too young, so I didn’t bring him back with me this time."

"What! He’s already four years old!" the three exclaimed in unison.

No wonder Bai Xilie always says he’s already a grandfather.

The three exchanged glances and immediately said, "Let’s go back and prepare gifts to make up for the things we’ve missed giving our little nephew over these four years!"

Bai Zhi’er couldn’t stop them, so she had to let them go.

Feng Fuce said calmly, "When they heard that our son is already four, it was like they were struck by lightning twice."

Bai Zhi’er, half crying and half laughing, said: "There’s nothing that could be done. Father and Mother said they would find a chance to tell the family, but I didn’t expect they never found the right opportunity."

The couple then specifically went to visit Qingmei.

After Feng Fuce left, because of his outstanding ability, they promoted another to replace his position in the Xiuluo Guard, which seemed slightly inadequate.

Therefore, Bai Xilie appointed Chu Ping and Lei Hu to command the Xiuluo Guard, dividing it into north and south.

Chu Ping was in charge of the North Guard, and Lei Hu was in charge of the South Guard.

Welcomed into the Chu Residence by the housekeeper, as they reached the backyard, they heard children laughing and playing.

Qingmei’s irritable shout came: "Doudou, don’t hit your brother!"

"Meng’er! Get down from the tree! If you don’t behave, there will be no dinner tonight!"

Bai Zhi’er rounded the corner to see one bigger child and two smaller ones standing obediently in front of Qingmei, being scolded.

Behind Qingmei at the stone table, Cai Ying, with a large belly, was smiling gently as she carefully stitched a child’s bellyband.

Qingmei didn’t notice Bai Zhi’er, but Cai Ying, upon looking up, saw Bai Zhi’er standing there, smiling sweetly at them.

"Plop—" The basket of threads in Cai Ying’s hands fell to the ground.

She suddenly stood up, her eyes welling with tears, her lips opening and closing several times, not daring to call out that name.

As if afraid it was all a dream.

"Princess..." Cai Ying finally murmured.

Qingmei looked up sharply.

Bai Zhi’er waved to them: "I’m back!"

She stood in the sunlight, her appearance just as beautiful as it was when they unexpectedly parted six years ago.

Qingmei and Cai Ying rushed toward Bai Zhi’er almost simultaneously, and upon seeing their Mistress, the two wept their hearts out.

"Princess, all these years, why have you stayed away? We thought we’d never get to see you again in this lifetime!"

Cai Ying cried and knelt before Bai Zhi’er: "Princess, I’ve missed you so much."

Qingmei was sobbing so hard she could hardly catch her breath.

Her children didn’t quite understand what was happening.

The older boy was fine, but the other two smaller ones, seeing their mother crying, ran over and started bawling as well.
