Chapter 1560: Is It a Boy or a Girl?

After the grand wedding.

Bai Zhi’er simply stayed in the Demon Palace to nurture her pregnancy.

Not only could she enjoy the Mutual Grass anytime and anywhere, but most importantly, being by Feng Fuce’s side gave her peace of mind.

From the day after their marriage, Feng Fuce ordered the people of the Demon World to establish new rules.

Probably to provide a healthy environment for the child.

From now on, demon beasts in the Demon World should not kill each other and must learn to reason.

He wanted to correct all dark and bloody matters before the child was born.

Feng Fuce became busier, yet the things he did the most every day were accompanying Bai Zhi’er on walks or coaxing her to sleep.

The food Bai Zhi’er ate was delivered by people sent by Jing Jia from the Heavenly Court.

Bai Xilie also had Qingmei cook countless times, then let Jing Jia use a spell to send the food to Bai Zhi’er.

At least it satisfied Bai Zhi’er’s cravings.

Later, it was heard from Jing Jia that Qingmei gave birth to a chubby boy.

Bai Zhi’er entrusted her own mother to give a Peace Pendant to Qingmei.

And promised that after giving birth, she would definitely personally hold Qingmei’s son.

Although, after Bai Zhi’er and Feng Fuce stayed together regardless of everything, the Linglong Lamp eventually dimmed.

But Jing Jia kept using mana to maintain it daily, barely keeping the Linglong Lamp from extinguishing.

Bai Zhi’er and Feng Fuce also searched all over the Three Realms for solutions.

Finally, news came from the Big Black Snake Xiaoli from the Returning Ruins.

Legend has it, the wick of the Linglong Lamp was transformed from an ancient god who created the world.

Now that god has been reincarnated everywhere, and has traveled to a world thousands of years later.

To keep the Linglong Lamp burning bright, a hair from this god’s reincarnation needs to be used to forge a new wick.

The so-called world thousands of years later, Bai Zhi’er had heard of it before, it was the place Jiang Ying came from.

There, was also one of the places under Feng Fuce’s rule.

Pregnant, Bai Zhi’er couldn’t travel through time, and Feng Fuce couldn’t bear to leave her alone, hence the journey to the future world was postponed.

The couple agreed that after Bai Zhi’er gives birth and recovers a bit, they would go to the future world together to find the reincarnated god.

And so, Bai Zhi’er began to focus on nurturing her pregnancy.

Her husband governed the Demon World, her mother led the nine layered heaven, her father intimidated the Human World.

The burden on Bai Zhi’er’s shoulders suddenly lightened considerably.

She spent each day eating, drinking, and having fun in peace, and Feng Fuce occasionally took her to places outside the Demon World.

When feeling bored, she would stroke the demon cats to pass the time.

Gradually, she unknowingly progressed further in her pregnancy.

Soon, Bai Zhi’er was eight months pregnant.

By human terms, it is said that pregnancy lasts ten months, but Bai Zhi’er was carrying a Demon Fetus, which required twelve months!

At eight months, it happened to be the most active period for the Demon Fetus.

By then, the Demon Fetus was almost fully developed, punctually making rounds inside Bai Zhi’er’s belly every morning, noon, and night.

On this day.

Feng Fuce brought the elder to see Bai Zhi’er.

The couple decided to let the elder first see whether it was a boy or a girl.

Bai Zhi’er pointed to the items on the table, smiling, “These little dresses were sent by my mother; she says it’s a daughter, but my father insists that he dreamed of playing with a little grandson, saying it’s a son.”

“Brother Fu Ce, do you hope for a girl or a boy?”

Feng Fuce sat beside her, gently caressing his beloved wife’s shoulder.

He pondered for a moment, then smiled and said, “A girl would be nice, to make you happy, but a boy is also good, as he and I can protect you together.”

Saying this, he looked at the elder, “You should come forward and feel the pulse, to see if the Demon Fetus is a boy or a girl.”
