Chapter 1556: Not the Grand Finale!

The wedding was being prepared with great excitement, Feng Fuce absolutely didn’t want Bai Zhi’er to worry about it.

He said, "I’ve invited your mother and everyone from the Heavenly Court, the wedding in the mortal world will be completed when I bring you back."

Bai Zhi’er nodded gently, "Mm."

The next moment, she frowned and covered her lower abdomen.

Feng Fuce immediately became anxious, "Why is it bothering you again? Why is it being so unruly?"

Bai Zhi’er couldn’t help but laugh at his tone of reproach towards the child.

"Didn’t the elder say that the child is very strong and healthy, so it’s lively and active. That’s a good thing."

Feng Fuce had no choice but to help Bai Zhi’er lie back down on the bed.

He looked at the girl’s somewhat slender, fair cheeks and felt extremely distressed.

"Carrying a Demon Fetus takes twelve months before it can be born. It’s only been a month, and it’s causing such frequent trouble. Should I find some good medicine to make it behave better in your belly?"

Bai Zhi’er immediately patted the back of his hand, protecting her belly with wide, pretty eyes, "Feng Fuce! What kind of father are you! What are you saying! If our little one hears, it’ll be sad."

Feng Fuce chuckled lightly, "Why would it be angry, it’s not even the size of a fist yet."

Bai Zhi’er pouted, "That doesn’t matter, the more lively it is, the better."

Seeing this, Feng Fuce bent down, lowered his head, and whispered to Bai Zhi’er’s belly, "Got scolded by your mother, I’m here to apologize, sorry."

As he spoke, he kissed Bai Zhi’er’s belly gently through her clothes.

It made the girl burst with laughter.

Feng Fuce looked up with his slender eyes and saw her reaction, couldn’t help but think of something.

He leaned closer to her, whispered softly by her ear, "Through clothes, the kiss doesn’t feel quite right, wonder if the child could feel it?"

Bai Zhi’er’s face suddenly turned red.

She reached out to push Feng Fuce away, "Don’t talk nonsense! What if our little one learns bad things?"

Feng Fuce straightened, laughing heartily.

Just then, the grass spirit sought audience at the door.

"Lord Demon, Your Majesty, the items are prepared."

"Bring it in." Feng Fuce commanded.

"Yes." The grass spirit carried a red wooden lacquer tray.

Bai Zhi’er glanced over and was startled.

It was the chain previously locked on her ankle!

After returning from the cave, it was unknowingly removed by Feng Fuce.

Why does it appear again now?

Bai Zhi’er quickly pulled back her little foot, "You’re going to tie me up again?!"

Feng Fuce laughed, "Of course not, how dare I?"

He gestured for the grass spirit to bring the tray closer.

With a wave of Feng Fuce’s sleeve, in one moment it was an iron chain, in the next, it turned back to its original form.

"Marriage knot?!"

She reached out and picked it up, admiring it in her hand, the grass spirit tactfully retreated.

Feng Fuce sat beside her, "I guess I love you to the bone, so even that day outside the South Heavenly Gate, when forcibly removing this knot, I couldn’t resist bringing it back."

"Driven by selfishness, afraid of losing you, I turned it into an Extreme Iron Cold Chain."

He finished speaking, placing his hand in Bai Zhi’er’s palm.

The Marriage knot seemed to come alive instantly, tying their thumbs together, gradually merging into their bodies.

Bai Zhi’er was overwhelmed with emotion, she recalled Yue Lao’s words that the Marriage knot would only reside on destined partners.

"Feng Fuce, I guess I’ll have to wear this forever, you won’t bully me anymore, right?"

"I swear by Heaven, by the Three Realms and Six Paths, I, Feng Fuce, will never betray you in this life or the next."

"However," Feng Fuce’s tone shifted, "what kind of bullying are you referring to?"

The bed curtains fell.

Bai Zhi’er’s annoyed voice came, "You’re so improper!"

"Demons are naturally of evil intent." Feng Fuce calmly retorted.

The two fussed around for quite a while, Bai Zhi’er finally lay on Feng Fuce’s chest resting, panting.

He entwined his long fingers with hers, lacing their fingers together.

"Bai Zhi’er."

"Mm?" She half-asleep, lifted her head.

"Thank you for not giving up on me, thank you for willing to bear our child, thank you, for coming close to me, then loving me."

He embraced Bai Zhi’er tightly.

Bai Zhi’er smiled, turned her hand to hold him tightly.

"In the beginning, we were both very lonely, but when the two of us are together, it’s a home. My wish isn’t just to be the Heavenly Dao, but also to be with you for the long haul. This wish, I ask my husband to fulfill with action in the years, decades, centuries to come."

Feng Fuce’s slender eyes paused suddenly.

She called him husband!

He wrapped around her, chasing her for a kiss, "Say it again."

Bai Zhi’er giggled, playfully dodging, "I’m going to sleep! Our little one is restless!"

Initially, he didn’t know her, she seemed as distant as the heavens.

Later, they met, he accompanied her growing up, watching her overcome hills, little by little, she came to his side.

Now, they are in love, cherishing each other, she stayed in his heart.

As it turns out, how could the word ’love’ be called a calamity.

Love, it’s evidently a willing fate.
