OMG! Tyrant's Pampered Baby Is a Valued Princess
Chapter 1551: Let Me Ask You One Last Time—Will You Marry Me?
He didn’t understand.
Where exactly did Bai Zhi’er’s difficulties lie?
She looked at him for a long time, then turned her head aside: "For the time being... I can’t marry you. If you cool down in a few days, just let me go back to the nine layered heaven. I can’t stay away for too long."
Feng Fuce’s dark eyes paused.
His wild joy and delight from just now rapidly faded.
With that pair of cold eyes he stared at Bai Zhi’er, as if he wished he could see straight through her.
After quite a while, Feng Fuce finally asked, "You still don’t want to be with me. Why? You’re even willing to keep my child, yet you’re not willing to let me give you a proper name?"
"Then let me ask you: if you keep hiding it from me, in the future how am I supposed to believe that we have a child at all?"
Bai Zhi’er lowered her long lashes: "I’ve taken the Jade hairpin. It’s the same kind of jade as your thumb ring. When the child comes to find you one day, you’ll definitely recognize it."
Feng Fuce suddenly let out a furious laugh.
"I recognize this child because of you! What I want is you, not to use you just to bear me a child!" He stood up, and spoke in a cold, angry voice.
Just now he’d let joy flood his head; now that he’d calmed down, Feng Fuce suddenly sensed something strange about all this.
He fixed his gaze on Bai Zhi’er: "That night in the cave, you said you wanted to make a bet. On the red silk at Fengming Academy, you were asking whether your self three years from now had won that bet. What exactly are you betting on?"
"Is the birth of this child a task you’re determined to complete, no matter what?"
Bai Zhi’er was struck dumb, speechless.
Feng Fuce paced back and forth, the storm in his eyes spreading layer by layer, dark, deep, and icy cold!
In the end he planted his feet and stood still: "Bai Zhi’er, I’ll ask you one last time. Will you marry me or not?"
Bai Zhi’er suddenly lifted her lashes and looked at him, wanting to speak yet stopping short.
Feng Fuce was provoked into anger by her.
He gave a cold laugh: "Fine. I’ve long known that pressing you for answers isn’t much of a method. Since you won’t speak plainly, then I’ll just force the marriage."
"One way or another, you’re in my hands. Even if you don’t want to, I’ll still tie you to my side."
Just then.
Zhu Yan came running in a hurry.
"Lord Demon, something terrible has happened!"
"Whatever it is, talk about it another day!" Feng Fuce barked.
Zhu Yan knelt at the door: "N–no... it’s not that. The previous Heavenly Dao has come. She wishes to see you!"
Bai Zhi’er jolted in shock: "Mother?"
Feng Fuce furrowed his brows: "I know. Let her wait."
He looked at Bai Zhi’er: "What you refuse to say, perhaps Jing Jia knows a bit of. I’ll go ask her."
As he spoke, he turned to leave. Bai Zhi’er hurriedly tried to stop him, but was blocked by the grass spirit, and the next second, the door slammed shut!
Bai Zhi’er was thrown into utter panic.
Mother had promised her she wouldn’t speak!
She... shouldn’t reveal it to Feng Fuce, right?
On the other side.
In the main hall of the Demon Palace, Jing Jia saw Feng Fuce walking over with an ice-cold expression, and she spoke without courtesy: "Give Zhi’er back to me."
Feng Fuce let out a cold laugh, paced to the throne, and only after sitting down did he open his mouth: "On what grounds?"
Jing Jia clenched her jaw: "I was never in favor of the two of you being together. I feared you would fail her. But Zhi’er is infatuated with you; I couldn’t bear to break up lovers."
"But now I’ve learned the whole story. You tore apart the Marriage knot without regard for her agony. Do you have any idea how much pain she had to endure?"
Feng Fuce lifted his chin, his gaze cold: "You’re just as you were before—turning truth upside down. I severed the Marriage knot because she wanted to cut off all ties with me."
"She has her difficulties!" Jing Jia screamed hysterically.
When she saw through the mirror her beloved daughter, writhing in pain and collapsing to the ground, her heart was gripped tight.
Bai Zhi’er was the child she’d carried in her womb for ten full months.
