All of the players immediately scrambled to login once they were able to do so. The volume of traffic was incredibly high but the developers were already ready for them which is why the servers did not congest or crash. Adrian might not be showing much excitement but he was definitely pressing the login button furiously just now.

Adrian is bombarded with notifications about the soulbound ascension system. He expected that most of his soulbounds were already in the demigod level but it seems Kenos, Wuchang, and Alix are different since they are the latest of them. Also, Kenos is not yet at his true adult stage as it is a monster that can only grow stronger with time.

"Before checking my soulbounds, I should really check my own player card first." Adrian stated as he pulled up the Ascension System menu as his level is now fully locked onto 400.

Just as the patch notes stated, all of the levels that go above 400 are all gone. The next leveling system for demigod level players are basically the Ascension system. Players can also not become demigods and still break through levels but they would be considered a strong mortal. The gap between a mortal and a demigod is vast and it is said that the gap is at least 100 levels in stats.

Also, Demigods are beings that can wield divine energy and could grasp laws once they become lesser gods. The world is now filled with dangers that are higher than that of a demigod. Powerful divine beasts now roam and even lesser gods can execute their powers freely. The only gods that still have a restriction are the gods of life and death.

Adrian thought that they would cry foul but it seems that the gods and goddesses of life and death are all in line with the restriction. After all, if they suddenly revive a dead person or suck the soul out of a mortal then everything would devolve into chaos. What the gods and goddesses of life and death want is enjoyment which means they love that they could just stroll in the mortal realm for free.

"Then again, some of the gods are already strolling free in Avalon. They have even become one of the mysteries of Avalon because of their freedom in my territory." Adrian muttered to himself.

In fact, this is one of the reasons why the gods and goddesses of life and death would not dare to cross Adrian. He was basically giving them free reign in his territory so they could easily descend as the faith there was abundant. Even the greater gods can descend without them feeling the backlash and Avalon is a treasure trove of excitement for the gods. Avalon is the Sanctuary of the Gods of Life and Death which means Adrian actually has more authority over their visits.

The gods cannot descend all at once and the quota is decided to only one god with a companion per day. They are bored out of their mind hence they like strolling and living the life in Avalon without the pressure of maintaining the Cycle of Life and Death. Adrian could also ban a god from descending which he had used on a greater god causing some trouble.

The greater god that Adrian banned for a month is said to have lost the will to live as his chance to have fun was cut off. It was this mighty move that determined the fate of all the gods that want to descend to Avalon for recreation. They even turn very docile when they encounter Adrian as if currying favor from him.

"Even if those gods can descend, they already created a rule that only one with a companion could descend. The Cycles of Life and Death is not easy to manage after all as the number of gods of life and death are half compared to what it used to be. Anyways, I already jumped to three-star demigod? How did that happen?" Adrian stated as he looked at why he suddenly became a three-star demigod.

"I see so the mini-quests are all related to achieving something great. I guess I am not the only three-star demigod if that is the case." Adrian thought as he is now looking at the guild chat that has now turned into a bragging battle.

All of the guild members that have become demigods were all saying their star level and the ascension experience bar. It seems that all of them are currently trying to one up each other. Even the higher ranked guild members like Levin Cloud were joining in on the fun as he actually is a two-star demigod. Adrian would have just laughed it off when a question or rather a guild member was courageous enough to tag him and asked the question.

[Mega Troll: Guild Leader Equinox, what is your Ascension Level? Please show these arrogant plebeians that there is always someone standing on top.]

[Levin Cloud (Vice Guild Leader): He should be 2 stars just like me! I am also close to the 3-star level as I have 70% of my Ascension Experience bar filled.]

The chat that was buzzing suddenly behaved even though Solstice only told that to Lycan. It seems her influence to the guild has more weight than before. Then again, she was the one handling the finances and anyone that needs extra funds would need to survive her thorough interrogation.

Her word made Adrian laugh and made him click on the messaging tile which made speech bubbles pop out with Adrian’s avatar popping up. As soon as they saw that their guild leader was trying to type something, all of the guild members suddenly waited in anticipation. Some could not wait for a minute and had to call out Adrian for his long response.

As soon as Adrian’s reply was sent, all of the guild members erupted in either frustration or tears of laughter. All of them did not expect that their guild leader that can make any other guild cower would mistakenly click on the chat tile. It was like he was teasing them and they all fell for it.
