Chapter 2799: Origin of Mana

“The divine energy of the gods is one of the major sources of mana in this world. The divine energy we release essentially gives birth to mana as it breaks down. You can say that mana is the final state of energy in our world because it is the barest form of byproduct when it has been broken down.” The Goddess Athena stated but it seems not all of the children are listening but one could see that all of they were trying to listen.

“Such a difficult topic when it is just the first day of school. Am I suddenly in the advance class or something? Then again, I can barely check what age the others are since children with Asmodian blood grow slowly.” Adrian thought but he could more or less agree with what the Goddess Athena said.

The statement made by the Goddess Athena slightly shook Adrian to the core as he already has his speculations on how mana came about. It is not that divine energy is the only source of mana in this world but rather one of its sources. If you break down elemental energy, the remaining source would be mana if you remove the elemental attribute.

You could say that mana is the basic form or energy that anyone could manipulate. Divine energy is akin to a higher form of energy that has evolved which is why only gods could manipulate it. Mana is also refilled when beings use their skills and spells as mana is scattered in the area when one uses them. You can say that all energy in this world will eventually break down to mana when everything special about it has been stripped.

“Then what about Chaos Energy? It is so potent that it devoured all of my energy including divine energy which is already such a higher tier energy.” Adrian thought to himself as he could not contain his excitement and raised his hand.

“Oh! It seems someone is eager and curious. I like those that are curious. Okay then, Telos… what is it that you want to say?” The Goddess Athena asked.

“Is there something higher than divine energy? From what I know, divine energy is a mixture of the attribute of the body owner plus a higher form of concentrated mana. If so, is there something more powerful than divine energy?” Adrian asked which shocked some of the Asmodian kids and also the Goddess Athena.

The way that Adrian asked could be attributed to blasphemy as he is questioning if there is a higher existence than a god or goddess. In fact, the class that Adrian is right now does indeed have students older than him by one to three years. He is actually the youngest one in the class as the others are six years old and above. The other kids are shocked because they were taught to be very respectful to the gods and goddesses as some could be offended easily.

“I like your very curious brain. You may be a bit blunt and would have been scolded if another god or goddess is asked but I shall answer your question. I like those that pursue wisdom despite the adversity as that is what is needed to gain such knowledge. For your answer, there is a higher form of energy than that of divine energy but that is already in the realm of the Creator God, Chaos. Does that satisfy your curiosity?” The Goddess Athena stated.

“Yes. Thank you for answering my question.” Adrian replied which made the Goddess Athena smirk as she could see that the former is very polite after all.

“Okay then. I guess I should focus on how the world came to be since no one is interested in mana. I shall now tell you the story of the creator since I have already spoken the great and mighty name.” The Goddess Athena stated as she proceeded with the story about the Creator God Chaos.

Adrian immediately buckled up as this is the first time that he will hear the lore of the creation of the universe from a goddess. Even the other gods refused to tell him the story of creation when he asked as if they were told to not spread it. Since this is the time he will hear the entire story, Adrian’s eyes lit up as he is very much into the lore of the game and he did not expect that he will hear it from his job advancement quest.

The Goddess Athena then started with the actual start of the lore as in the very start and Adrian’s vision changed as he experienced the story first hand as it is projected in his mind. She told them at the beginning there was absolutely nothing. There were absolute silence and emptiness which suddenly created a spark as everything needed to change at some point. The universe that is silent and empty suddenly experience a powerful explosion of both matter and anti-matter.

These explosions occur every million years or so to make the silent and empty universe a bit exciting. The matter and anti-matter will always destroy one another and return the state of the universe into silence and emptiness. This should happen but one instance has changed everything.

The matter and anti-matter that was supposed to destroy one another suddenly started to fuse with one another. The opposing forces that should have destroyed one another suddenly began to become one. This sudden change suddenly dyed the universe with the combined energy of the two which is neither matter and anti-matter. From the combined matter and anti-matter, the being that emerged from this was called the Creator or the Pitis Theos.

The Creator suddenly became aware of its existence and its immense power to wield both matter and anti-matter. From its overflowing power, the darkness and light of the universe started to spread but they have not gained sentience. The Creator then found itself in a state of questioning and started the time of the First Epoch called the Great Pondering.

The Creator only used the First Epoch to recollect itself and plan on what to do. During this time, the overflowing energy from the creator also created a strange byproduct. When light and darkness already filled the empty and silent universe, a large tree suddenly formed where it held the power over life and death.

The Second Epoch finally approached where the Creator has finally learned what it wanted to do but it also resulted in a powerful shockwave that created numerous fractures in the universe. The fractures of the original universe created what we call the multiverse which also split light, darkness, and the tree that contained life and death to smaller pieces. This meant that each universe that was fractured from the original universe has one of each.

The Second Epoch is also called the Birth of Chaos and Order because the Creator actually felt lonely in its eternal years of pondering. When the Creator split itself into Chaos and Order, the birth of time, space, and force also came for each of the universes. Chaos and Order were from the same being but they were also essentially different. One is the representation of change while the other is the representation of stability. They were essential for each of the universes as they experimented with each universe that was created.

The Third Epoch is what we call the Great Nurturing as this is where both the Creator Gods, Chaos and Order, exerted their influence on the universes. They have realized that worlds that only have chaos have such change that are drastic but all of it ends in ruins where nothing is left. The worlds that only have order stagnated to the point that no one moved and, in the end, fell to ruin as well.

The Creator Gods, Chaos and Order, then entered the Fourth Epoch where they exerted their influence on the universes equally. They balanced chaos and order which created thriving civilizations and great progress while being stable. This could be said to be perfect but the Creator God Order wanted more control. The two Creator Gods fought each other which resulted in the Creator God Chaos backing down and only carrying some of the universes it cherished with it.

As the Creator God Chaos hid and shielded the universes it took from the control of the Creator God Order, the Creator God Chaos started the Fifth Epoch which is called the Primordial Creation. At this epoch, the Creator God Chaos personified the things that appeared at each universe but the first ones to be born were the Twin Gods of Life and Death. They were the first Primordial Gods that hold the power of creation but they were not the only ones.

After the Twin Gods of Life and Death were born, the other Primordial Gods of Light, Darkness, Time, Space, and Force were all born as well. Each of them has different names as there were other gods from different universes. Thus, we arrive at the Sixth Epoch which we are in now as it is called the Dawn of Mortals.
