Chapter 2795: Eldritch’ Real Plan

In a vast space that is shielded from the eyes of even the gods, Eldritch could be seen talking with a female humanoid that has insect like features. This female humanoid did not look like she is a being that is from this universe at all as her entire body and aura clashed with the energy of this world. The only reason why she could not be detected by the world is due to the fact that the world barrier has weakened and let beings that are lesser god and below to descend.

The weakening of the world barrier became the chance for the lesser gods that are both foreign and local to this universe to descend. They descended when the Daemos were at chaos in the north which will make them unable to be detected later if they hid well. Just as they planned, the Daemos tried scouring for traces of beings that passed through the dimensional walls via divine energy but they were unable to detect them.

The Daemos knew that there were gods that descended but they did not know how many managed to descend. The Daemos are already monitoring every inch of the world that they can and even asked the help of the Dragons. The Dragons were shocked that the Daemos would ask for help in monitoring parts of the world but there was a reason why the latter denied the former before.

The dragons back then were selfish and greedy that thought of themselves as higher than any other being. This made them unfit to actually monitor the world as they could care less if a town or two would be destroyed by a foreign being from a different dimension. Thankfully, the appearance of Basil, the Mother of Dragons, has made the dragon leaders change their hearts and care for this world. It seems the increase in young dragons made the older dragons become responsible and empathetic.

The Dragons and the Daemos are now monitoring the world thoroughly but even they are stretched thin. The numbers of the Dragons and the Daemos are small which makes it easy for some powerful beings to avoid detection. Such beings are the lesser goddess that Eldritch has brought to his hideout.

“Tell me, Envoy of the Dark Gods or rather Envoy of Azathoth, what can you offer me that will let me give you some of my power? Even though I am the equivalent of a lesser god, I am more powerful than other lesser gods because this universe does not restrain me like them.” The distorted goddess stated as she opened her four insect eyes to look at Eldritch.

“Restrain? Just admit that if you do something rash then those above monitoring this world would be able to detect you. You cannot fool me because I know that you are weak.” Eldritch stated bluntly which made the distorted goddess flare up in anger.

“You dare slander me with that mortal mouth of yours! You might have transformed yourself to be like us using the Essence of Azathoth but do not think for a second that puts you in our level. You will forever be beneath the dark gods and distorted gods! Do not forget your place, vermin!” The distorted goddess stated as she looked down on Eldritch as the hierarchy between servants for dark gods and distorted gods are incredibly enforced.

“You are correct, Rhan Tegoth. All of you are indeed above me in terms of hierarchy and that is why I want that to change.” Eldritch stated as he slammed his staff onto the floor to create a magic circle that sealed the entire space.

“What are you planning, servant?!” Rhan Tegoth asked in shock but she suddenly felt her divine energy being sucked away by the magic circle beneath her feet.

Eldritch smiled as everything is going according to his plan. The goddess before him is incredibly gullible that she trusted him just because of his job class and title. He is the Envoy of the Dark Gods but the main god that watches over him has fallen into slumber. He made sure that the God Azathoth will fall into slumber which is why he became active in calling upon its power.

With the God Azathoth not knowing what Eldritch is doing, he finally could enact the plan that he concocted upon his rise as the Envoy of the Dark Gods. He always thought that the Envoy of the Dark Gods was a powerful class but he later learned that it is also a shackle. The dark gods were petty beings that did not want their servants surpassing them which is why Eldritch will never become a demigod despite how hard he tries or do their bidding.

Once he learned this information, he found it unforgivable that mere beings that relish what he offers them could stop him. In the end, Eldritch concocted a plan to become a demigod in his own way. He planned ways for him to become a demigod and that was to defeat a dark god or distorted god known for their abilities of assimilation. The dark god that had assimilation abilities was the first prey that Eldritch killed in this secret chamber.

Eldritch did not know if he was just lucky or the game is blessing him but he managed to get the Assimilation skill after forcefully absorbing the body of the defeated dark god. Eldritch then planned what dark gods or distorted gods he could lure next. He made sure to only target the lesser gods because they are not that strong and he could defeat them with enough preparation.

The magic circle of Divine Sealing is applied inside of his secret hideout where he lures the dark gods and distorted gods. These gullible dark gods and distorted gods thought that they would be getting some good food or clues of the main world became Eldritch’ source of power to break through.

“I should thank you for your contribution into making me stronger. You are the last one that I need to devour and I shall be reborn as a demigod. A being that no god could ever control.” Eldritch stated as he transformed into a large flesh eating worm that swallowed Rhan Tegoth.
