(Spy Chapter POV)

I am a Spy! I may not look like it because of my large body but I am one. This body of mine is a result of careful and strategic espionage work. The target of my spy mission is none other than the Godly Chef Gourmet! He is my idol… I mean my target in alluring to our side as per my guild leader’s request.

If I cannot entice the Godly Chef Gourmet to our side, then establishing a friendly connection with him is a must! He is the Godly Chef Gourmet after all and the only player that is said to have a guaranteed chance of having your stats be raised just by eating his food. Even if the value of the increase is random and can only be done per dish, the fact that he can elevate one’s stats is what makes all other guild leaders want to poach him.

I have done my extensive research or rather espionage work for the past few months already and even ate all the dishes that he has created when given the chance. I even ate all the dishes that he created that other chefs cook when he suddenly takes over the kitchen of another chef. This is one of the eccentricities of the Godly Chef Gourmet as he can revive even the most desolate restaurant with just one recipe.

The Godly Chef is actually just his title because of the fact that his recipes and food would entice even the gods themselves. Some even say that he entered the Temple of Dionysus and was blessed by the god himself when he came out of the secret chamber. Still, the mortals cannot comprehend his genius as the apostles of the Temple of Dionysus would refuse to even let him near any of their temples. It seems that the apostles of Dionysus are jealous of his talents as a chef!

Anyways, the Godly Chef Gourmet actually already know me, and he even memorized my name. It seems my mission to establish a connection has been a success. Although, I do not know if a spy should be well known by his target but then again… I am here to slowly entice him to join our guild. A chef like him should not be stranded on a guild that does not relish his dishes and talent.

Do not get me wrong as the Pantheon guild is an excellent guild but they have never even helped my perfect chef in opening up a restaurant. I would often see the Godly Chef Gourmet helping other food stalls of other races in Pantheon than open a stall himself. Did Guild Leader Equinox actually forbid him in opening up a restaurant?

NO! Guild Leader Equinox is such a saint and giving person. It must be his beautiful yet stingy sister that has the finances of the guild in a clutch. I even heard the Godly Chef Gourmet rant about not being given the money to buy a specific meat that he really wanted to buy. It seems that the life of a chef is difficult if you do not make enough money.

Also, it seems that the Godly Chef Gourmet is not that close with the Pantheon guild members. Whenever I see them and I am with the Godly Chef Gourmet, the Pantheon guild members would often clutch their stomachs or mouths before running away. I do not know why they do that, but they only do it when I am with the Godly Chef Gourmet.

Maybe, I am actually the reason why they are doing that! Maybe they know that I am a spy, and those hand signals were to tell the Godly Chef Gourmet that I am a spy! I guess I need to make sure that I appear like a friend instead of a spy! I need to be more professional in order to entice the Godly Chef Gourmet to my guild!

Anyways, I like that the Godly Chef Gourmet likes the way I eat as he says that people usually never taste his food after the incident. He never told me what this incident is, but it seems that it almost made him lose interest in cooking. Do not worry my idol! Even if the world does not want to taste what you have made, I will always be there to gulp all that you have cooked!

I mean I can practically eat anything because of my strange title called Bizarre Eater. It is a title that is perfect for a foodie… I mean a spy like me that must be able to eat anything. It practically makes anything I eat delicious and nutritious for my body. I do not even remember when I got this title as I have eaten a lot of things that are exotic in the game.

Adrian: I heard that you were cursed by the God of Feasts Dionysus. What happened with that? Or rather how did that happen?

Gourmet: I was invited as a special chef in the feast for Dionysus held at his temple. The God Dionysus bragged that he could make the best wine ever without using his godly powers, so I challenged him.

Adrian: So, you lost, and he even cursed you?

Gourmet: I actually won that fight but that god actually threw a tantrum. I merely told him that his Wine was close to being flat. It seems that he cannot take criticism which is why he lost. I mean he created that wine without divine power so he should accept his lost against mortals.

Adrian: I guess your straightforward manner of telling it offended him. Then again, the Greek Gods are easily offended as they are mostly professional victims. Not my words but someone from those I work with.

Gourmet: Tell me about it! He cursed my food with Fagito Antistrofa. Basically, all the food I make will taste more awful if they are more beneficial and delicious.

Adrian: I think I now know why the other guild members are traumatized yet impressed. Also, please do not request money for expensive ingredients all of a sudden. That golden boar meat you want was 10,000 gold coins a pound. You spent about a two hundred thousand gold coins previously which almost made my sister kill you. Maybe we can hunt that monster down instead.
