Chapter 1925: Chapter 1925

Qin Garden is a villa owned by Wei Zejun in Jiangzhou City, covering nearly three thousand square meters; calling it an estate wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

The interior of the villa is luxuriously decorated, primarily used by Wei Zejun for business receptions.

Guests invited to Qin Garden are either wealthy or noble, individuals whose names are recognized throughout the province.

Jiang Heng arrived at Qin Garden, stood before the three-meter-high brass door, and rang the doorbell. After a few minutes, a beautiful maid came to open the door.

Jiang Heng smiled at her and followed her inside.

In the expansive courtyard, there was a swimming pool.

Although the weather in April occasionally remained chilly, the pool water was heated, so the dozen or so men and women soaking within could not feel the cold.

Jiang Heng glanced over, noticing a few men who were undressing women in the pool, engaging in unspeakable acts.

He did not linger on these men, brimming with primitive desire; he was searching for Ah Xiang.

Suddenly, his steps halted, his gaze locked onto a corner of the pool.

A man in his forties leaned against the pool’s edge, with his body submerged in the water from the neck down.

A woman in a bikini straddled him, clutching his neck tightly, emitting enticing moans.

The man hugged her waist, utilizing the buoyancy of the pool to move her up and down.

This woman was Ah Xiang.

Although he had long known that Wei Zejun would use Ah Xiang to entertain these distinguished guests, witnessing it with his own eyes made it hard for him to control his emotions.

Walking ahead, the maid turned back, asking, "Why aren’t you keeping up?"

The words pulled Jiang Heng, engulfed in anger, back to reality. He glared at the man beneath Ah Xiang, imprinting the man’s image into his mind, then withdrew his gaze, forced a smile, and continued following.

He followed the maid into the villa’s hall, where a few men sat on the rest area’s sofa. One wore beige shorts and a casual T-shirt, appearing around thirty years old – it was Wei Zejun.

He refrained from disturbing them, quietly standing aside, waiting.

Wei Zejun noticed him, gesturing with his eyes, but continued chatting with the guests before him.

Jiang Heng waited for approximately a quarter-hour, intermittently observing Ah Xiang through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room.

He watched as the man separated from Ah Xiang and left the pool.

However, another man arrived afterward, pulled Ah Xiang up from the pool, and they headed together towards the villa’s guest room.

Jiang Heng seethed with rage, keeping his head down to conceal his emotions.

"Jiang Heng."

Someone called him.

Jiang Heng looked towards the voice, realizing that the rest area only had Wei Zejun left; the other men had departed without him noticing.

He went over, addressing him as "Young Master Wei."

Wei Zejun accepted a cigar from the maid, patted the sofa beside him with a warm smile, inviting, "Sit and talk."

Jiang Heng obediently sat down but occupied only a third of the seat, sitting upright—like a subordinate reporting to a leader, full of restraint.

Even though Wei Zejun always tried to create an atmosphere of equality between them, Jiang Heng knew they were never of the same class.

"Young Master Wei, I recently contacted several companies and unexpectedly learned about the City Government’s focus this year."

He outlined the situation of the industrial park, narrating it truthfully without embellishment.

There are seldom truly foolish heirs among the second generation.

Whether they are wealthy merchants or high-ranking officials, once the money is secured, they strive to provide the best education for their children.

Raised in the lap of luxury, exposed to the complexities of the world, these second-generation individuals have keen perceptions, eloquence, and an understanding of the world and society that ordinary people cannot match.

Influenced by their elder’s experiences and teachings since childhood, they developed an incredible sense of intuition and a certain ability to judge character.

Jiang Heng witnessed the dire consequences of someone attempting to deceive Wei Zejun.

Since then, he set a rule for himself: never lie to Wei Zejun.

Unless one can ensure the lie remains hidden.

Or, unless one has a fallback plan.

If not, there’s no point in attempting to play with Wei Zejun’s intellect.

Wei Zejun quietly listened to Jiang Heng’s narrative, nodding occasionally.

"Are you sure that the City Government intends to focus on developing the Wensong District industrial park?" Wei Zejun rarely confirmed once more after Jiang Heng finished speaking.

Jiang Heng nodded: "Director Song said so, and I asked around to verify; it is indeed true. The City Government has already signed contracts with over a hundred companies."

Wei Zejun twirled the cigar, pondering aloud: "This is a good opportunity."

The focus on supporting the industrial park indicates that the City Government has specific funds set aside for support and key projects.

As long as the standards are met, one can obtain support funds.

This area holds great potential for manipulation.

If the relationships are in place and everything is well-arranged, it’s easy to extract the support funds.

"You have done well." Wei Zejun encouraged with a nod.

Jiang Heng responded humbly and then added: "Young Master Wei, should we continue negotiating those company orders? Having met with Director Song, I found this person rather assertive. If I keep pushing for orders, it may displease Director Song."

"Assertive?" Wei Zejun’s thick, sword-like eyebrows raised in amusement, with a hint of disdain.

He picked up the phone from the coffee table and made a call.

"Director Hu, I heard the City Government plans to redevelop the Wensong District industrial park; is that true?"

"Oh, really? Is the support substantial?"

"By the way, can I ask you about something else? Is there an office director in the City Government named Song? What’s the situation with this person? Tell me about it."

Jiang Heng waited beside him for about ten minutes before Wei Zejun finished the call.

He tossed the phone down, saying, "Tomorrow morning, you’ll accompany me to the City Government to meet Director Song."

"Alright."

Knowing the day’s discussions were complete, Jiang Heng stood up, preparing to leave.

"No need to go, stay and have some fun." Wei Zejun raised his hand holding the cigar, gesturing casually through the floor-to-ceiling window: "All personally selected by me; pick whoever you fancy, and enjoy yourself."

Jiang Heng’s smile faltered, but quickly returned to normal, politely replying: "Thank you, Young Master Wei, but I won’t intrude on your esteemed guests."

Wei Zejun was merely being courteous; he knew Jiang Heng was a discerning person and wouldn’t overstep boundaries. Hearing this, he laughed, saying, "Don’t worry about intruding. You, sigh... alright, go tend to your work."

Jiang Heng nodded slightly and left the living room.

He glanced around but couldn’t find Ah Xiang. As he looked back at the expansive estate, gaze sweeping across the windows, Ah Xiang was in one of those rooms.

Suppressing the rising anger within, Jiang Heng held down the emotions and thoughts, leaving Qin Garden without looking back.
