Official Career Storm
Chapter 1880
Chapter 1880: Chapter 1880
"Special vehicle market? What do you mean?" Song Guanchao relied on his good habit of asking questions when he didn’t understand.
Chen Xiangdong explained, "Like transport vehicles, armored cars, this type of vehicle is mainly for government departments and the military."
Song Guanchao’s eyes lit up; he didn’t expect it could be handled this way.
"Does Jiangyun Group have this capability?" He wasn’t too excited since government procurement is now transparent and must go through open bidding.
If Jiangyun Group isn’t strong enough, even if he uses his connections, it won’t help.
Chen Xiangdong said, "Jiangyun Group absolutely has the capacity. The key is that someone needs to promote it. Jiangyun Group isn’t very skilled operationally; without a professional stepping in, they probably don’t even know which way the government doors open."
Song Guanchao said, "As long as the product is fine, everything else isn’t a problem."
Chen Xiangdong hummed; he was only responsible for pointing out the problems, resolving them didn’t concern him.
Song Guanchao thought carefully for a while, "It seems we still need to trouble Director Chen to stay a few days."
"I’m fine with that." He would be doing nothing if he went back anyway, so it didn’t matter where he was.
Song Guanchao nodded, ate, then asked Xiao Zhang to drive him home while he drove himself back.
He took a bath first, then texted Wu Qiangwei to confirm that no one was home before heading over.
As soon as he entered, he eagerly hugged Wu Qiangwei and kissed her passionately.
Wu Qiangwei was somewhat displeased, pushing him away, looking at him with a bit of anger.
It seemed like he came to her just for that kind of thing.
Though her body was enjoying it, psychologically she didn’t like him acting this way.
Seeing her reaction, Song Guanchao realized her displeasure, and with a cheeky laugh, he kissed her again on the face, "Couldn’t resist, I’m just too happy."
"Happy about what?"
"There’s a project that’s going to work out, came specifically to talk it over with you."
Wu Qiangwei didn’t buy his excuse, thinking he was just picking a random reason to ease her internal dissatisfaction.
"Let’s talk on the sofa."
Song Guanchao wrapped his arms around her waist, led her to the sofa, and sat down, placing her on his lap.
One hand on her thigh, the other on her waist, he said, "Do you know Jiangyun Group here in Jiangzhou?"
"I do."
Jiangyun Group is a listed company, as Mayor, how could Wu Qiangwei not know it.
"I’ve been in touch with Chairman Jiang from Jiangyun for the last couple of days, went over three times, the first time by myself, the second by his invitation."
He briefly explained his investigation over the past few days, telling her he had consulted an expert and went for a third visit.
Lastly, he discussed the idea of special vehicles with her.
Listening to his story, Wu Qiangwei realized he was genuinely here to talk business.
"Stop touching."
Wu Qiangwei flicked his hand away and wanted to get off him.
"We can discuss this later, let’s take care of business first."
Seeing her negative mood dissipate, Song Guanchao seized the moment, and the hand on her waist dropped to her bottom, grabbing and kneading fervently.
"What business? Get your hand off!"
"Hehe, can’t discuss work without dealing with business first."
Song Guanchao turned around, lifted her from his legs to the sofa, "We’ll talk work when in sage mode, can’t focus with you around."
Saying this, he silenced her lips, his hands quickly causing her to breathe heavily.
Wu Qiangwei abandoned resistance, swiftly getting into the mood.
Once the storm passed, Song Guanchao lay on her belly, breathed, and got up.
Looking at Wu Qiangwei with her disheveled clothes, skin white as snow, cheeks rosy, eyes misty, he licked his lips, starting to discuss business.
"I plan to talk to Jiangyun Group about the special vehicle matter, see if they’re interested."
"Where did you find the expert?" Wu Qiangwei sat up, fixing her clothes.
Song Guanchao’s proposal intrigued her.
But she was wary of whether Song Guanchao’s expert was professional enough.
"Deputy Director from a street office in Fuyang City, studied undergraduate and postgraduate mechanical engineering in Germany. Quite capable, I plan to bring him to Jiangzhou for this project."
Wu Qiangwei wore a peculiar expression, finding it odd to connect a high-achiever from Germany to a deputy director at a street office.
"Go for another round of investigation in a couple of days, I’ll find a couple of experts myself." Wu Qiangwei was still skeptical about Chen Xiangdong’s expertise.
"I’ll invite Chen Xiangdong along, let him meet the experts you find, like an early evaluation."
Wu Qiangwei nodded, not rejecting his suggestion.
Song Guanchao said, "If we can work out the special vehicle project, the market is substantial, just the dozen cities within the province could yield significant orders. Plus the military, a huge market."
Business with the government and military is hard to start.
But once a collaboration is made and the product quality holds, the partnership can sustain in the long run.
"Come Monday, I’ll have Old Zhou send someone to the functional departments below to gather data, see where they’ve been procuring special vehicles. Oh, and hospitals, must research that market too."
"These things can be planned later, no rush now." Wu Qiangwei interrupted, thinking ahead was premature.
What’s the point in considering something vague?
What if the expert isn’t reliable and Jiangyun Group isn’t capable?
Wouldn’t it be just a false joy?
Understanding her point, Song Guanchao laughed, "Then let’s wait for your experts before proceeding, now let’s rest."
He reached and scooped Wu Qiangwei into a princess carry. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Wu Qiangwei’s blushing had barely subsided before her face flushed again, biting her lip in a coy yet expectant gaze that almost mesmerized Song Guanchao.
His pace quickened, entering the room without turning on the light, diving onto the bed.
In no time, hushed moans filled the air.
Wu Qiangwei bit her lips to hold back sounds, but she was no match for Song Guanchao, gentle moans gradually becoming tender and quivering cries.
The next day, Sunday.
Wu Qiangwei rarely took a break, sleeping until late morning.
After she left, Song Guanchao lounged on her bed, handling some tasks on his phone.
Wu Qiangwei entered her office, flipping through the directory to find experts in the automotive industry.
After searching for a while, Wu Qiangwei suddenly thought of her brother.
Wu Ming, a Princeton graduate, though not in the automotive field, was connected to such professionals.
She called Wu Ming, asking, "Where are you?"
"What do you want?"
"Come to my office."
