Chapter 2094: Foolish Humans -Part 1

"Are we ready to attack it simultaneously?" One of the generals from Nalg, the Eastern Kingdom asked his mage captains.

"Yes, and the other kingdoms are saying that they are prepared to move at the signal of Mong's General." The most veteran of the General's Mage Captains reported.

"Urgh. I never liked Mong and their soldiers. It feels like there is something sinister that is going on with them." The General said as a passing remark and his Mage Captains were also giving the same type of response as well.

They never understood why but it gave them the vibe that the soldiers had this otherworldly presence that they could never figure out what or where it was coming from. All they could do was to keep quiet and thanked the stars that the soldiers of Mong were not targeting them for now.

However, if Nalg's king wished to work with the South Eastern Kingdom, there was nothing that the General could do but comply with his king's orders. At the same time, the general looked at the imposing barrier that had closed off the City Ress for the longest time ever.

It broke all definitions of a magical barrier since never in his life had he heard of such a powerful barrier that could last for weeks much less for a month.

While he did not believe the rumours of the so called new Ress King and his deeds, the General as well as his Mage Captains were not able to come out with any other reasons to put their current knowledge of magic into discernible logic.

After all, all of the ambassadors to Ress had returned from the Red Banquet of the Discarded King and they brought horror stories how the incumbent king of Ress was extremely violent…and strong.

They all deduced that he was at least a Rank A+ or Rank S based on the powers he had portrayed in the Red Banquet and thus he was able to create a barrier that enclosed not just the capital but the entirety of Ress. So, there must be something that he must have done to ensure that the barrier was still up and running to prevent the demons from entering.

And hence all of the out of the ordinary accusations and wild rumours had made each and every person who is right now at the front of the isolation barrier be considered as a person fighting for the Justice of Ress' Citizens. Even though they will kill almost every single Ress Citizen, they will liberate the land from the Discarded King's control and gain back their freedom.

Obviously, the higher ups all knew that that was not the case. Everyone wanted the Crystal Mine no matter the condition it was in. After all, based on the calculations, even if the whole of Ress were to work 24 hours a day, 52 weeks a year to mine the crystals, there would still be plenty to pass around.

Their analysts believed that even if they did not have the Great Crystal Mine under their control, trading would be significantly easier for the East and West of Ress while the South had a buffer of territory if the Demons would ever come.

And speaking of Demons, there were initial plans to let the Demons do the job for them as well since they were all lingering at the isolation barrier for some reason or another.

This was also the reason why the Demon attacks were not as concentrated for Nalg and Pal, allowing them to readjust their military formations after the simultaneous demon attack that had happened 6 months ago.

But still, both kingdoms were still on high alert to ensure that if they brought down the Isolation Barrier, the demons' behavioural pattern could change almost instantly. But right now, that was not the case and they will use that opportunity to attack Ress.

At that point of mulling over the past points, the General of Nalg finally heard a distant horn sounding. In the next few seconds, more horns sounded as the message was passed from army to army in order to signal the chained attack against the Isolation barrier.

They do not believe that a hundred over A to S Rank explosions could not shatter the Isolation Barrier of Ress. "On Your Marks!" The General shouted and in an instant, the skies were filled with magical circles. All of the Mages that they could muster after the Great Recall from Ress, were working hard to pour every single ounce of mana into this attack.

Some of the armies even have mana amplifier relics to ensure that this plan works.

The magic circles got bigger with every second passed and on the tenth second mark, explosions ensued which could potentially spark the world's greatest record of the explosions hurled at the isolation barrier. In fact, this was already the world's greatest record at work with almost every single country surrounding Ress were in arms to destroy it.

Other allied nations even dispatched their mages and battalions just for this as well because they all knew the importance of the crystal mine that Ress possessed and hoped to have a piece of the cake too.

The series of explosions was eye catching but equally devastating. Some of the soldiers lost their hearing standing at the frontlines because of the consecutive impacting explosions that had ensued. Smoke covered the entire isolation barrier but it dissipated almost immediately with the second wave of explosions coming in.

"It is working! It is working! We are starting to see the cracks! Push out the higher level explosive magic!" One of the military observers used his mana to cast a long vision and saw cracks in the isolation barrier. "Mages! Continue to fire!

Pass the signal to the soldiers in the frontline to brace themselves for any attacks! They might be waiting for us but we outnumbered them by a wide margin!" The Nagl General shouted as he never expected it to be this smooth. In fact, his heart was racing as he could not help but await the moment where he could see this barrier shatter in front of him.

Too much effort had been placed into gathering these many soldiers just for this one particular 'villain'. The number of resources that they had to gather just to pull all the troops into one place, the conscription and the impromptu basic training, the weapons, and armour that were needed to be forged. It was insane coordination with a lot of hiccups in between every phase.

All of these were done just to see that bloody isolation barrier to come down.

And with the third wave, a portion of the barrier finally cracked and broke into pieces as the sound of it amplified and the frontlines could see something in front despite the smoky appearance from the series of explosions instead of just a blank piece of the barrier.

However, just as the excitement and elation for breaking the isolation barrier were being processed in each and every invading soldier's mind, only waiting for the 'go' command from the leaders who were in the same elated state, everyone surrounding that 'arc' of the isolation barrier caught sparkles of light within the smoky explosions.

"Now." The King of Ress broadcasts through his network of channels.
