Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts
Chapter 7263 Earth Barbarian Spirit Elixir
“Kill them!” roared the Earth Barbarian experts as they crushed yet another tribe of the outsider devils.
Every single Earth Barbarian hated the outsider devils with all their heart, despite originally being on the same side. Not only had the outsider devils tricked them, but when the Earth Barbarians found out the truth, the outsider devils hunted them down mercilessly. Now, they were finally launching a counterattack; it was their turn to show no mercy, and indeed, no mercy was shown.
It only took an incense stick’s worth of time to wipe out this tribe. Long Chen collected the outsider corpses and ordered the Earth Barbarian race to look for the treasury.
This was the seventh outsider devil tribe that they had crushed in the last three days. In order to train the Earth Barbarian warriors, Long Chen was picking out the tribes that weren’t very strong. After all, the Earth Barbarians had barely managed to survive throughout the years. They had almost never fought directly, and as a result, their fighting instincts had regressed. Moreover, even though their bloodline was very powerful, it was slumbering, and its power was a far cry from what it should have been.
Thus, Long Chen was leading them in a furtive fashion and picking off the outsider devil tribes that were not too strong or too weak. Basically, he had to be able to put substantial pressure on them without causing casualties.
Long Chen let go of a half-step Heavenly Sovereign’s forehead. His expression was rather dark. Even after a deep soulsearch, he wasn’t able to find the information that he wanted.
There were a number of half-step Heavenly Sovereigns amongst these outsider devils, but they were all incredibly weak. When he did a soulsearch, he discovered that it wasn’t just their individual power that was lacking. Their tribes were all completely secluded and they had no overarching organization or even the most rudimentary alliance. They simply had their own territory, and they wouldn’t step foot out of this territory lightly. That was because entering another tribe’s territory was equivalent to a declaration of war.
This was weird enough as it was, but the more curious thing was that Long Chen discovered a strange spiritual seal on these half-step Heavenly Sovereigns. It was something very odd; powerful, yet extremely subtle. He had never encountered something like this before. If it weren’t for his absurd Spiritual Strength, he wouldn’t have been able to sense it.
It’s almost as if... they are prey that has been marked by a hunter...
This thought suddenly struck Long Chen as he was pondering. It seemed that not even the half-step Heavenly Sovereigns were aware of this mark, so it must have been placed by someone truly powerful.
It seems that if I want to know more, I have to target the stronger tribes!
This was the only solution he could see, but targeting the stronger tribes was quite risky. Of course, the problem wasn’t crushing a stronger tribe; if needed, he could take action himself. The real issue was killing everyone swiftly, without causing any ruckus. If they caused too great of a disturbance and happened to draw over a Heavenly Sovereign, that would be serious trouble.
Even though he had advanced to the tenth Heavenstage, Long Chen still felt that he had no chance to even defend himself in front of a Heavenly Sovereign. If he had been alone, he would have been able to do whatever he wanted; after all, he could escape whenever he pleased. But now, he was leading the entire Earth Barbarian community, and he did not want to lose them. Thus, he didn’t dare to take such a risk.
“Lord Long Chen, would you like some water?” said a tender voice all of a sudden.
Long Chen turned around and saw a young maiden who looked to be in her late teens, wearing simple leather clothes. She was quite tall, and a bit tanned as well, and she was holding a bowl of water.
She was a middle-stage Sovereign Lord, most definitely among the strongest junior disciples. She looked youthful and energetic, but at the same time, she was so nervous that she didn’t even dare to look at Long Chen. Even her hands were shaking.
Long Chen smiled slightly and took the water. It tasted sweet, and as it flowed down his throat, pure spiritual qi poured through his limbs, invigorating him. In fact, Long Chen even felt like he was getting close to another breakthrough, despite having just recently advanced.
“What kind of water is this?” he asked in surprise.
“This is Earth Barbarian Spirit Elixir. It is said that our ancestors brought it from outside these heavens. It is not something that exists elsewhere in the nine heavens,” answered the maiden hastily.
“How much of this do you have?”
“I... I don’t know!” she stuttered.
Long Chen smiled and returned the bowl to her. “Go ask, then report back to me.”
“Yes!”
She hastily bowed and ran off nervously. She ran back quite quickly.
“There should be around a thousand drops of the Earth Barbarian Spirit Elixir left!”
Hearing that it was counted in drops, Long Chen was speechless. How many “drops” had that bowl contained? Had he just drunk a tenth of their reserve in one gulp?
“Bring it to me!”
It wasn’t long before she came back with a jug... that was only half-full.
“Have you drunk this thing before?” asked Long Chen.
She immediately shook her head.
This Earth Barbarian Spirit Elixir was incredibly precious. Their ancestors had only brought three jugs, of which only half a jug remained. This Earth Barbarian Spirit Elixir was impossible to produce in the nine heavens, so every bit that they used was lost forever. Thus, only the most outstanding disciples were given a single drop to preserve their bloodline purity.
This was a divine medicine, and it could be said that it was what had kept the Earth Barbarian race from becoming extinct. Without it, their bloodline would have regressed to the point that it could no longer be awakened.
By now, the battlefield was emptied, and everyone gathered once more, patiently waiting for Long Chen’s next order.
“Uncle Fu, I’d like to have a talk!” said Long Chen.
After three days together, he had come to know and respect A’Fu, and so he had started calling him uncle.
“Present!” A’Fu immediately stepped forward. He felt that Long Chen was giving him too much face by calling him uncle, but Long Chen seemed very honest about it, and in truth, he didn’t dare to defy Long Chen’s will.
“There’s been a change of plans. Pick out three hundred of your race’s strongest members, as well as the three thousand disciples with the purest bloodlines,” said Long Chen.
It went without saying that as a race leader, A’Fu was doing an outstanding job. He was aware of absolutely everything going on with its millions of members, and he was immediately able to call out the names of the most outstanding disciples.
After the elites were picked out, Long Chen found a secluded area and set up a formation. There, he took out the Heaven Earth Cauldron.
When he saw that cauldron, A’Fu was astonished. “You are skilled in alchemy?”
Long Chen smiled slightly. “I know a couple of things!”
The Sun Flame ignited within the cauldron. Countless runes flowed around the cauldron, and it grew larger. The lid opened, and a mass of Heavenly Dao Fruits poured into it.
And here I was racking my brain about how to use the outsider Heavenly Dao Fruits! This Spirit Elixir is the perfect medium! There’s no way this won’t work!
Long Chen was filled with anticipation. If this went as he expected, then he would be able to turn the Earth Barbarians into an unstoppable force that would strike fear in the hearts of all their enemies!
