Chapter 6333 Seven Gates Fully Open
Chapter 6333 Seven Gates Fully Open
The baldie only had eyes for Di Mengyao. The others were too weak to enter his gaze. Because of that arrogance, Hai Mingkong’s Mirror Flower Water Moon instantly caught him off guard.
His will was strong, allowing him to escape the illusory world instantly. But in a clash between experts, life and death were always separated by the thinnest of lines.
Di Mengyao seized this fleeting opening to stab the Heavenly Dragon Battle Halberd at the baldie’s chest.
The next moment, blood sprayed from the baldie’s mouth, but Di Mengyao’s eyes widened. The Heavenly Dragon Battle Halberd couldn’t pierce him through.
“He’s wearing armor!” shouted Hai Mingkong.
Now, they could see a powerful set of armor on his body. It was a Divine Sovereign magical item, yet there was a hole in it. Clearly, even a Divine Sovereign armor was no match for the Heavenly Dragon Battle Halberd.
The baldie’s outrage was matched only by his fear. If not for this armor he had stumbled upon in the heaven region’s battlefield, he would already be dead. Even so, some of his organs were broken, and his core nearly shattered. Right off the bat, he was injured.
“Xue Tu, Qing Yi, help me kill him!” Hai Mingkong roared, charging at him.
With the baldie injured, if the three of them could tie him down, Di Mengyao could unleash her full power against the other threat. As for the rest of the Heaven Dragon Law Domain’s experts, they weren’t that strong. But they could fight back within Di Mengyao’s domain.
“Scram, ants!” the injured baldie bellowed, swinging his saber toward the nearest target—Xue Tu.
“You’re the ant!” Xue Tu shouted back.
As Xue Tu exploded with rage, his dragon spear blazed with divine light. Then, a dragon roar echoed through the sky.
BOOM!
Xue Tu was blasted back, his hand bleeding. Even while injured, the baldie was still stronger than him. Yet Xue Tu’s strike was not without effect, its impact causing the baldie to stagger back a step.
“Azure Dragon Pearl!”
A blazing sun suddenly appeared in the heavens, revealed as a giant pearl clutched in the mouth of a giant dragon image.
BOOM!
The dragon’s tail whipped through the air, sending divine light coursing through its body and into the pearl. Like a shooting star, it shot forward.
The baldie was stunned. The pearl locked onto him, pressing down with suffocating force. With no other options, he raised his saber to block.
BOOM!
The giant pearl slammed into his saber with an earth-splitting detonation. As a result, the baldie spat out blood.
The pearl’s force was over ten times what the baldie had expected. Caught unprepared, his wounds tore open again.
“Kill!”
Xue Tu and Hai Mingkong attacked him from left and right.
In response, the baldie parried wildly, forced back step after step. The whole mess started with that first wound from Di Mengyao. Even his Divine Sovereign armor couldn’t save him—the Heavenly Dragon Battle Halberd’s destructive imprint had torn his insides, and those injuries wouldn’t heal quickly.
On top of that, he still had to fight inside Di Mengyao’s domain. Facing Xue Tu, Qing Yi, and Hai Mingkong at once, he was at a severe disadvantage. Only now did he realize that he couldn’t measure a warrior by the number of Sovereign flames alone. For example, Qing Yi’s strike had the impact of a full-power attack from a 996 Sovereign flames expert.
The void exploded as the other vile dragon expert with 997 Sovereign flames immediately tried to help his comrade.
“Stay behind!” Di Mengyao barked, directly blocking his path with the Heavenly Dragon Battle Halberd.
“Scram!”
As he bellowed, a colossal battle-ax formed in his hands. It was a heavy weapon for a power fighter.
BOOM!
Halberd and battle-ax clashed. The impact knocked both of them back.
“What power!” Di Mengyao gasped. This foe’s power eclipsed even the baldie’s. The exchange left her arm numb, and she nearly dropped the halberd. Di Mengyao instantly realized just how large the gap between her and this expert was.
“Die!”
Her enemy roared and surged again, certain he had the upper hand after that clash.
“Heavenly Dragon Flying Rope!” Di Mengyao snapped, forming one-handed seals with his left hand. The void on either side of her trembled as chains of Sovereign flames shot out like constricting pythons, knitting together into an inescapable barrier.
“Break!” this expert roared, cleaving at the links.
Countless chains shattered, yet more poured in, endless as tidewater.
“Let’s see how many you can spare!” he spat, convinced such an expansive defense would bleed her dry.
However, Di Mengyao didn’t reply. The Heavenly Dragon Battle Halberd simply floated behind him as she switched to two-handed seals.
Her Sovereign flames burned intensely as she sent more chains to bind him.
Although she was using up more energy, she wasn’t worried. Long Chen had said that her core energy was several times greater than her peers.
If she couldn’t win through quality, she would win with quantity. This was what Long Chen had taught her. If the situation turned bad, she should switch to a battle of attrition. In a one against one, she should have the advantage.
On the other side, Xue Tu, Qing Yi, and Hai Mingkong were suppressing the baldie. However, he was very powerful, and defeating him was impossible in a short time.
Both fights had entered a battle of attrition. They would have to see who would last longer.
At this moment, the other dragon experts started clashing, and furious roars echoed through the sky.
BOOM!
In the distance, spacetime split. Two figures reappeared amid shredded void and flying fragments. Grand Dao runes seemed to burn around them, making the two of them seem like devil gods.
“Nine star heirs aren’t all that strong. If this is all you’ve got, I’ll take your life today!” Long Wu sneered from the rift, eyes crackling with electric coldness.
From those first exchanges he had already sized Long Chen up.
Long Chen looked back at Long Wu with excitement. The latter was powerful, so powerful that he triggered Long Chen’s desire to fight. Only such a powerful opponent could excite him.
At the same time, the wild astral energy pouring into Long Chen seemed to flow smoother as if it had found a release point. It no longer posed much of a burden to him.
“If you’re that confident, then—”
The half-open Death Gate behind Long Chen slammed fully open, and an aura of death poured into the world, cold and absolute.
With a voice that cut across heaven and earth, Long Chen continued, “I will shatter that confidence!”
