Chapter 5933 Evilmoon’s Scale

Chapter 5933 Evilmoon’s Scale

The divine weapons Long Chen had just tossed into the primal chaos space exploded one after another. Their runes were drawn away by a powerful force.

“Evilmoon!”

Long Chen was shocked. These runes were flying toward the cocoon around Evilmoon, vanishing the moment they touched it. They were being absorbed.

BOOM! BOOM!

The two divine weapons with Sovereign runes on them exploded with two particularly loud sounds. Those Sovereign runes were similarly pulled into the cocoon and instantly disappeared.

The cocoon suddenly blazed with light.

“Fuck, I almost starved to death! I’m alive again!” Evilmoon’s voice rang out in Long Chen’s mind.

“Evilmoon! You…?”

“Why didn’t you wait for me before getting into such a big fight? I was at a critical juncture! In order to save you, I almost lost all my progress. Do you know how dangerous it was?” scolded Evilmoon.

Last time, Evilmoon had blocked a fatal attack for Long Chen, but the cost had been steep. It had fallen into a deep slumber, and Long Chen had been unable to communicate with it ever since.

Fortunately, Long Chen had tossed a large batch of evil weapons inside. Their auras stimulated Evilmoon’s instincts, and it directly absorbed their runes to recover its energy. When it absorbed the two divine weapons with Sovereign runes, it finally recovered.

“Are you about done with your seclusion this time?” asked Long Chen.

“Done? Far from that. To help you, I almost cut off my advancement to my second form. Now, I’ve managed to stabilize my realm again. What comes next is the true transformation. During that time, I won’t be able to assist you. I must complete the process in one uninterrupted stretch,” Evilmoon warned, its tone deadly serious.

“No problem. Go ahead and transform peacefully!” Long Chen replied without hesitation.

“Before I start, I’m going to leave you with something special,” said Evilmoon.

A palm-sized black scale appeared in Long Chen’s hand—the same scale that had saved his life when Evilmoon blocked that terrifying strike.

Though the scale had exploded during that battle, its power had returned to the primal chaos space and been reconstituted by Evilmoon.

Now, as Long Chen held it, he could sense a fearsome aura emanating from it.

“Sovereign qi?”

The dragon scale actually contained a wisp of Sovereign qi.

Suddenly, the dragon scale quivered and transformed into a black sword, followed by a shield, then a bow. Long Chen stared in amazement.

“Other than taking my form, it can freely shift into any weapon. It also contains Sovereign runes, so it should be able to go toe-to-toe with a Sovereign Lord divine weapon. With you holding this, I can at least rest a little easier. After all, a certain ancient fellow is totally useless when it matters,” Evilmoon said disdainfully, clearly referring to the Earth Cauldron.

Although the Heaven Earth Cauldron was one of the strongest divine weapons of the nine heavens and ten lands, it indeed couldn’t fight alongside Long Chen. That caused Evilmoon to look down on it.

The Earth Cauldron remained silent, offering no retort.

“Evilmoon, get going. Don’t worry about me. I’m looking forward to seeing your second form!” Long Chen said eagerly.

Evilmoon replied, “It will take some time. But if you can find more evil weapons like this, it could shorten the process.”

With that, the cocoon dimmed again, and Evilmoon returned to its deep slumber.

Long Chen could no longer sense any activity from within the cocoon, but just before it went still, he felt a soul-deep fluctuation that made his entire being tremble.

From the moment Evilmoon started its transformation, Long Chen knew—it would be incomparably terrifying once it emerged.

The black dragon scale shrank and transformed into a black rune that embedded itself on the back of Long Chen’s hand. A single thought would allow him to summon it.

This scale now held a trace of Sovereign qi thanks to absorbing those runes, but Long Chen didn’t dare use it lightly. That trace could only be used once, and once spent, there was no way to replenish it.

Meanwhile, Qian Duoduo continued leading Long Chen through the treasury, and with him acting as an insider, the riches of the Soaring Dragon Company quickly fell into Long Chen’s hands.

Many of the treasures were useless to him personally, but Long Chen wasn’t concerned. Those he could publicly sell would go to the Huayun Trading Company. For the more questionable goods, he had Qian Duoduo.

With this, he would be able to trade away anything he had on hand.

On the final level, Long Chen finally saw the enormous corpses he had been anticipating.

Some were so ancient and powerful that their bones still held runes. Their origins were astonishing. If their descendants ever discovered that their ancestors’ remains were being sold here, they would stop at nothing to retrieve them—even if it meant declaring war on the Soaring Dragon Company.

And some of these corpses belonged to clans that even the Soaring Dragon Company didn’t dare provoke. But the profits from this illicit trade were simply too great to ignore.

Just selling a single corpse of that level could fund a place like the Ten Thousand Devil Den for millennia.

That was why they dared to take the risk, but they only sold to those they were confident wouldn’t expose them. After all, once any rumors spread, the entire Ten Thousand Dragon Den could be reduced to ashes.

The number of corpses was staggering. Many were missing limbs or internal parts, stripped for whatever was valuable. In many, only the sections bearing bone runes remained.

Some weren’t even complete corpses and simply isolated parts. A femur. A skull. Half a wing. But each bore Sovereign runes.

Time, however, had nearly erased the Sovereign power from these fragments. If they didn’t sell them soon, even these remnants would become worthless.

Long Chen directly tossed all these body parts and corpses into the black soil. These parts might be priceless treasures to their descendants, but they were useless to Long Chen other than for fertilizer.

Once this level was almost cleared out, Long Chen saw the eight complete Sovereign Lord corpses. His heart instantly started to pound rapidly. This was his true goal.

Lian Sanqiang… just you wait. I’m coming for you soon!

Long Chen’s blood heated up. With a few more puppets on his side, he wouldn’t have to wait to become a Human Emperor. He could strike back now.
