Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Chapter 5469 Grandmaster Figure

Chapter 5469 Grandmaster Figure

A man cloaked in black scales stepped forward, his eyes gleaming like stars in the night sky. The moment he appeared, the atmosphere changed. Mo Ying and the others felt their hearts quiver, and the heavenly geniuses of the dragon race froze in shock.

“Mo Yang!”

“The legendary heavenly genius?”

“Heavens, it really is him! That’s a grandmaster-level figure!”

“He created three divine arts and remains the most illustrious genius of the black dragon race. I can’t believe he’s been revived too!”

Gasps rippled through the crowd. Many didn’t recognize Mo Yang at first, but his name alone was enough to send waves of astonishment through even the ignorant.

Mo Yang was a peerless talent from the black dragon race’s immemorial era, a figure whose name was synonymous with dominance and glory. In his youth, he swept through his generation with unparalleled prowess, ascending to the position of the youngest race leader in history.

The divine abilities he created became sacred teachings, studied by countless black dragon race experts, including their current race leader, Mo Ying. She had personally benefited from his techniques, and now, seeing this legendary figure before her, she was overcome with complex emotions—a mixture of awe, reverence, and a hint of nervousness.

Mo Yang’s appearance stunned everyone present. After all, he was a grandmaster-level figure who had created his own divine abilities. Everyone immediately opened up a path for him. However, quite a few figures hidden within the crowd were eyeing him with a glow in their eyes, having a desire to challenge him.

However, they didn’t say anything and chose to silently watch.

With each step Mo Yang took, the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest quivered slightly. His presence grew more overwhelming, and a wild, primordial dragon might blanketed the entire space.

Long Chen, who had initially viewed Mo Yang with casual disdain, gradually grew serious. For the first time, he felt immense pressure from someone in the same realm as himself. Mo Yang’s power was unfathomable, and his presence alone caused even the half-step Dragon Emperor race leaders to falter.

“As expected of a legendary existence, he’s incredible,” murmured some of the onlooking heavenly geniuses.

Although these young dragons were also heavenly geniuses and had swept through all their competitors in their generation, that didn’t prevent them from worshiping stronger existences. After all, the dragon race revered strength above all else, and those who proved their might could easily command their respect, loyalty, and even their lives.

Mo Yang finally halted before Long Chen. His voice was calm, yet it carried the weight of his boundless power.

He said, “Human, you’re strong. I’ve been slumbering for a long time. When I first entered my slumber, the human race was already in decline and on the verge of being destroyed. To see an expert like you emerge after all this time is truly unexpected. I’m very surprised.”

Although Mo Yang had just awakened, the dragon race’s sensitivity to time allowed him to roughly gauge how long he had been in slumber. His strength was not limited to raw power alone; his sharp senses and keen perceptivity were equally formidable. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to become the black dragon race’s youngest leader in history.

With his senses, Mo Yang had discerned Long Chen’s strength through a simple glance into his eyes.

Mo Yang wasn’t intentionally intimidating or testing Long Chen. The release of his aura was a natural effect of his liberation from the seals that had bound him. Moreover, layers of seals still lingered within his body, unraveling gradually.

“You’re not bad either,” Long Chen remarked with a nod. “What’s surprising, though, is that you’re not as stupid as the rest of them.”

Even while fending off the dragon experts attacking him, Long Chen had kept an eye on everything happening around him. He had no choice but to admit that the dragon race’s foundation was truly frightening. Amongst these tens of thousands of heavenly geniuses, many could pose a threat to him. Moreover, there were around ten individuals around Mo Yang’s level.

However, unlike them, Mo Yang was calm, his emotions not written on his face. He possessed the air of a king.

In contrast, the other heavenly geniuses erupted in outrage at Long Chen’s words, their furious voices ringing through the air.

“Senior Mo Yang, kill him! How dare a little human look down on the great dragon race?!”

“The human race isn’t qualified to act arrogant in front of the dragon race!”

“You don’t have to kill him. Just make him kneel and respectfully kowtow to us three times, and we’ll forgive him.”

In mere moments, at least half of the experts present seemed ready to follow him without hesitation. His influence was undeniable, a force that eclipsed their anger and united them under his banner.

However, Mo Yang raised his hand, silencing everyone. His gaze swept over the race leaders before settling on Mo Ying. His sharp eyes seemed to strip away all pretense as he asked, “What has happened in the Dragon Domain?”

Mo Ying’s face instantly turned red, and she hesitated. Although Mo Yang was only a little Heaven Saint, his status as a former race leader—and her ancestor—placed her in an awkward position. As the current leader of the black dragon race, she should have been the one to maintain dignity and control. She couldn’t simply summarize and tell him the embarrassing story.

Sensing her discomfort, Long Chen interjected, “Let me explain. The Dragon Domain is in a grave crisis. All of you are in danger of being wiped out.”

“What?!”

Those experts erupted in shock and fury, unable to believe their ears.

“Is this the truth?” Mo Yang’s expression darkened as he turned to Mo Ying.

Mo Ying nodded, and this one action caused an uproar amongst the dragon experts.

“Let us out! We’ll kill them all! Let me see who dares to be our enemies!” the arrogant heavenly geniuses shouted furiously, looking as if they were going to charge out.

“Calm down!” shouted Mo Yang.

This time, his command wasn’t enough. Some of these heavenly geniuses were extremely conceited. Though they knew they weren’t a match for Mo Yang, they refused to submit to him.

“Mo Yang, you might be powerful, but you aren’t the master of the Dragon Domain! You aren’t qualified to order us around. I’m going to go out and see just who dares to be enemies with the Dragon Domain,” sneered one of them.

“That’s right. If the Dragon Domain is in a crisis, let’s have a competition. Whoever can resolve this crisis will be the master of the Dragon Domain!”

“Good idea! Let’s see who’s worthy of the Dragon Domain’s karmic luck! The strongest will naturally take the throne!”

The situation spiraled into chaos, slipping further and further out of control. Mo Ying, Xie Qianzhong, Chi Yue, and the other race leaders felt their hearts sink. The very disaster they had feared was now unfolding before their eyes.

These heavenly geniuses were their seniors. Even as their race leaders, they had little authority over them. Once things went out of control, the consequences became unthinkable.

Mo Yang’s expression also darkened as things descended into chaos. However, it was Long Chen who spoke first.

“The dragon race really is stupid.”

Long Chen’s voice wasn’t particularly loud, but it rang out clearly in the ears of every single dragon expert.

In an instant, the uproar ceased, and a suffocating silence descended on the crowd. Their murderous gazes concentrated on Long Chen.
