Nine Revolutions Star Transformation
Chapter 1172 - 1198: Journey to the Human Race Royal City
Lin Feng and Chu Lian flew over Chu You City for a while and arrived at a riverbank. The river wasn’t very wide, but the water flowed rapidly and felt quite cool. The bank was covered with wild grass and flowers, though there wasn’t the slightest hint of green.
"Lian’er, I am of the Golden Dragon Body. I believe your mother should have told you that you, too, possess the Golden Dragon Body. As long as you awaken your Bloodline Power, your strength will advance by leaps and bounds. It’s a pity there’s no Blood Pool here, or else you might immediately ascend after awakening your Bloodline Power in it," Lin Feng said.
"Dad, I understand the importance of ascension, but I want to spend more time with mother. She has suffered enough over the years without you by her side," Chu Lian said.
"Here, I have some Middle Grade and Upper Grade Immortal Stones that will suffice for you to absorb until your ascension. Moreover, there are a few Top Grade Immortal Stones and an Immortal Jade Lotus, all of which are extremely precious. You’ll understand their uses after you ascend, but for now, do not absorb anything above the Upper Grade Immortal Stones.
The energy is too strong and could cause your body to explode. Remember your father’s words; this is no joke," Lin Feng said.
Receiving the Immortal Stones from Lin Feng, Chu Lian smiled and said, "Lian’er remembers, don’t worry!"
Lin Feng glanced at the river in front of him, then, with a thought, leapt into the water. Chu Lian found it peculiar, not understanding why her father jumped in.
After a few breaths, Lin Feng rose from the river holding two large, plump fish. "Lian’er, let me cook some grilled fish for you to taste. It’s incredibly delicious," he said.
Chu Lian noticed that Lin Feng’s clothes were completely dry without a trace of water, which was incredibly strange. Before she could ask, she saw him take out a short sword and quickly cleaned the fish. The water he used was from his Water Transformation, which astonished her even more.
He then rubbed spices and salt onto the fish. A flame appeared in his palm, with just the right temperature for grilling fish. Soon, the aroma of the grilled fish permeated the air, exciting their appetites.
"Lian’er, have a taste!" Lin Feng handed the grilled fish to Chu Lian and continued cooking the second piece, which was ready shortly after.
Chu Lian took a gentle bite and found the fish exceptionally delicious, better than any fish she had eaten at a restaurant. "Dad, how did that flame appear in your hand? It seems so magical!" she asked.
Chu Lian was well aware that some individuals who mastered the Fire Element could conjure flames, but those flames typically extinguished instantly or were too hot, making grilling fish impossible. They would either not cook the fish or burn it instantly.
"That’s your father’s Fire Transformation. Eat up quickly; we need to return soon, or else your mother may worry if she doesn’t see us when she wakes up," Lin Feng smiled.
The two devoured the fish until only bones were left. "Dad, let’s go! Today’s breakfast was truly satisfying. If life were always like this, how comforting it would be," Chu Lian said.
Lin Feng held Chu Lian’s hand and instantly teleported to the Martial Arts Training Ground at the City Lord’s Mansion. He, too, longed for such a tranquil life, but it was only a dream.
When they returned, Princess Yiyi and Kong Feifei were already up, chatting in the great hall. Seeing Lin Feng and Chu Lian enter, Princess Yiyi asked:
"You father and daughter disappeared early this morning. Honestly, where did you go?"
"Dad took me to have breakfast, and he cooked it himself. It was very delicious," Chu Lian said.
"Dad’s so biased, taking his daughter out and not his son. Have you forgotten about Cheng’er?" Chu Cheng complained.
"Cheng’er, don’t make a fuss. If you had woken up earlier, you would have joined us. You can’t blame us for not calling you," Lin Feng replied.
Kong Feifei then smiled and said, "Lin Feng, when are you going to the Human Race? Don’t forget you have a woman in the Netherworld who might be ascending soon! Maybe you can help her."
"I was just thinking about that. My time in the Lower Realm is running out, and there are matters still unresolved. Why don’t we set off today to visit Lijuan in the Human Race? After all, it’s been a while since you sisters gathered," Lin Feng suggested.
"Do as you please; we’ll follow your lead!" Princess Yiyi responded, indicating she had complete trust in Lin Feng.
"In that case, let’s waste no time and depart now. It will take some time to reach the Human Race Royal City from here, so we shouldn’t delay," Lin Feng said.
"You get so eager at the mention of seeing Lijuan; you’re really biased!" Princess Yiyi remarked.
"I, I..."
After handling some affairs, the group set off. Their travel speed was quite swift, reaching the Human Race Royal City by dusk.
The Royal City of the Human Race appeared unchanged, as Lin Feng and his companions entered the bustling streets filled with people. The taverns and inns were thriving, and the cries of shop assistants were heard frequently.
Upon arriving at the Prince’s Mansion, Lin Feng and his group were stopped by the guards at the entrance. Furious, Chu Lian said, "Quickly report to your City Lord that the City Lords of Chu You City and Moon Spring City have arrived. How dare you stop us; do you have a death wish?"
Chu Lian’s fiery temper flared again, prompting Lin Feng to say, "Lian’er, don’t be rude. You’re a young lady; remember to be gentle, lest you become a laughingstock."
At that moment, a handsome young man emerged from the City Lord’s Mansion as the guard was about to report. The guard promptly addressed him with respect: "Young Master, they said they are..."
Before the guard could finish, the young man interrupted, "Xiao’er greets Aunties! Please, come in!" Then, turning to Chu Lian and Chu Cheng, he said, "Chu Lian, Cheng’er, why didn’t you say you were coming so we could be prepared?"
Just then, the young man noticed Lin Feng and paused, asking, "Who might this be?"
"I’m your father! Surprised? Where’s your mother, isn’t she inside?" Lin Feng said straightforwardly.
"You’re my dad?" the young man asked in shock, glancing at Kong Feifei and Princess Yiyi. Given that he interacted with them, he figured there was an eighty to ninety percent chance it was true, otherwise, it would be seen as a deliberate provocation.
"Xiao’er, he really is your father. If there are questions, let’s discuss them inside," Kong Feifei said.
Immediately, they entered the City Lord’s Mansion. The young man, Chu Xiao, was indeed the son of Lin Feng and Zhang Lijuan, now possessing the strength of the Sixth Level of Venerable Martial Realm, considered a martial arts prodigy.
