Nine Heavens Martial Emperor
Chapter 612 - 608: Extraterrestrial Battlefield
Chapter 612: Chapter 608: Extraterrestrial Battlefield
The voice was faint, tinged with a hint of laziness.
But to the ears of the assembled Martial Artists, it was like a sudden clap of thunder.
At that very moment, someone had yawned.
The sound came from the edge of the Third Layer.
The entire Third Layer of the Divinity Realm fell so silent you could hear a pin drop as everyone turned to look at the source of the sound.
Then, everyone saw Lin Hao.
Seeing everyone looking his way, Lin Hao gave a wave and a brilliant smile.
The corners of many Martial Artists’ mouths twitched. This guy was simply outrageous.
"Kid, who do you think you are?! All of us have been waiting for you, and you’re only showing up now!" a hot-tempered Martial Artist demanded.
Lin Hao pursed his lips and completely ignored him.
It was a blatant, undisguised contempt, as if the man didn’t even exist in his eyes.
The man was so furious his chest heaved, but he didn’t dare to say another word.
"I require an explanation." At this moment, the vague and ethereal form of the Realm Lord in the void spoke up.
Lin Hao showed no surprise at the Realm Lord’s presence. Hearing his words, he merely shrugged.
"I actually got here a while ago, but the main event hadn’t started, so I went back for a nap. You must know, this is the golden time for my development; sleep is very precious to me."
Lin Hao was telling a bald-faced lie.
In truth, he had only just woken up.
For the past three days, he had spent his nights explaining martial arts to the members of the Heaven-Stepping Sect and his days strolling through the mountains to relax. It had been an utterly carefree time.
Today was the day of the final battle, so there was no need for a morning relaxation session. Thus, Lin Hao had decided to sleep in properly.
By the time he woke up, it was already noon.
He had only just arrived in the Divinity Realm.
"PFFT!"
One of the Martial Artists sputtered. Lin Hao was just too absurd.
The Realm Lord was a construct of the Divinity Realm’s will and was aware of everything that transpired within it. He naturally knew with perfect clarity whether Lin Hao had shown up or not.
He was quite displeased to hear Lin Hao’s words. But then, his eyes suddenly narrowed.
He sensed an aura from Lin Hao that he found deeply unsettling.
The aura didn’t belong to Lin Hao, or even to this era. It could be traced back to ancient times.
’I’ve sensed this aura on many Great Emperors before. Why does this young man possess it as well? Wait, that young girl in the Divinity Realm also has this aura.’ The Realm Lord couldn’t make sense of it.
"You’re finally here," Lin Wu said.
He stared at Lin Hao, his eyes glinting with a sinister light.
A tremor ran through the crowd. A world-shaking battle was about to begin.
It was foreseeable that this duel would go down in the annals of history.
With a soft cry, the Realm Lord’s hands began to dance in a peculiar pattern.
In the next instant, the sky above split right down the middle!
A grand, mysterious, and majestic path appeared.
The sundered sky did not lead to the Fourth Layer, but straight into the void beyond!
Between the Third and Fourth Layers lay an extraterrestrial battlefield!
"Go!"
The Realm Lord lifted his hands, and both Lin Hao and Lin Wu flew up, landing directly on the grand path.
Behind them, numerous powerful experts also made their move, heading for the path.
But as soon as they neared the path, many were repelled by a terrifying force, completely unable to enter.
"This is the long-sealed extraterrestrial battlefield. Not just anyone is qualified to enter," the Realm Lord’s voice echoed.
Clearly, the extraterrestrial battlefield was meant for true experts, and many did not have the qualifications to set foot within.
In the end, more than half of them were blocked by the path, unable to enter the region.
The terrifying pressure was too much; they were helpless against it, even after exhausting all their means. It was a place they could not tread.
Meanwhile, Lin Hao and Lin Wu came to a stop. Before them materialized a massive extraterrestrial battlefield.
The battlefield exuded a desolate aura, its age impossible to determine.
But the floating battlefield was covered in runes, radiating an air of majesty.
"This is one of the extraterrestrial battlefields. The sons of Great Emperors have fought here before. It is more than enough for the two of you," the Realm Lord said, revealing a stunning fact.
The son of a Great Emperor!
Two Great Emperors can never exist at the same time. The emergence of one would interfere with the Heaven and Earth Laws; as long as one Great Emperor lived, no other could ascend to that rank.
At least ten thousand years separated the reigns of any two Great Emperors. The fact that their sons had once clashed on this battlefield was simply staggering.
"A Great Emperor’s power is world-altering. They have the ability to seal their own children. It must be that two sons of Great Emperors were unsealed in the same era," a Martial Artist remarked with awe.
"The extraterrestrial battlefield has finally opened. The era I’ve been waiting for has arrived." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
The swirling mists in this void were thick. In the distance, suspended within a cloud of mist, was a war chariot. A young voice emanated from within.
It was the voice of a young man, his tone dripping with self-importance.
The charioteer stood silently beside the war chariot, flames dancing in his eyes as a terrifying pressure radiated from him.
If a mere servant was this powerful, one could only imagine the young man inside the chariot.
"The extraterrestrial battlefield is open. This world is finally getting a little more interesting." From another direction, a woman’s voice drifted out of a grand sedan chair crafted from Phoenix Perch Wood. It held a strange Magic Power, and the swirling mists around the sedan seemed to flock to it, appearing particularly joyful.
The voice belonged to a young woman.
Beside the Phoenix Perch Wood sedan, the four bearers had already set the chair down, each standing guard at one corner.
Though their expressions were solemn, their bodies were as straight as swords, exuding a terrifying pressure that felt capable of sundering the heavens.
With a flash of light, Lin Hao and Lin Wu appeared on the extraterrestrial battlefield at almost the same instant.
The battlefield was vast enough that the two stood far apart, facing each other across the distance.
The moment they appeared on the battlefield, killing intent permeated the air. The world-shaking battle was on a hair-trigger.
Instantly, runes began to flash across the battlefield, sealing it off to prevent the aftershocks of the fight from escaping.
"Both of them are peerless prodigies. Who do you think will have the last laugh?" Many people wondered the same thing.
"Is there even a question? It’s obviously Lin Wu. He possesses the Harmony Dominator Body, which gives him an Innate advantage. Lin Hao is already at a twenty-percent disadvantage before the fight even begins," someone immediately replied.
Many people nodded in agreement.
"Not necessarily. There’s something inscrutable about Lin Hao’s aura. I heard that Lin Wu’s bloodline originally came from Lin Hao. Just as the mythical phoenix is reborn from its ashes to surpass its former self, since Lin Hao was able to recover, perhaps his own bloodline has regenerated and become even stronger than before."
The one who spoke was an ancestor-level figure from an ancient family, the likes of whom hadn’t been seen in a thousand years. His insight was extraordinary.
Others nodded, agreeing with this theory. After all, bloodlines couldn’t just be remade. If Lin Hao could recover and grow so quickly, his own must have regenerated.
Lin Hao and Lin Wu had yet to begin their duel on the extraterrestrial battlefield, but the spectators were already deep in discussion, analyzing and speculating.
Everyone who made it here was a powerful expert in their own right. They weren’t making wild guesses; they were drawing conclusions based on their vast and extraordinary knowledge of martial arts.
Ultimately, a full eighty percent of them concluded that Lin Wu would be the victor.
Even though Lin Hao had repeatedly broken records in the Divinity Realm, he wasn’t favored to win. After all, Lin Wu not only possessed the Harmony Dominator Body but had also been cultivating for three years longer.
BOOM!
Just then, the world-shaking battle began.
