Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven
Chapter 666: Opening A World
"Hell Portal."
The moment Grey spoke, a massive rift tore open in the sky above the battlefield.
The portal was dark and ominous, swirling with infernal energy that crackled and sparked along its edges. Black lightning arced across its surface while crimson flames licked around its circumference, releasing an overwhelming pressure that made the air itself tremble.
Both the White and Yellow Devils froze in their tracks at the sight.
Moments later, devils began pouring through the massive rift by the hundreds. They descended upon the battlefield like a dark plague, their twisted forms trailing shadows and corruption behind them as the air itself seemed to darken wherever they passed.
"More devils?!" the Yellow Devil King roared from across the settlement. "Where did they come from?!"
His generals looked equally stunned by the sudden development.
"T-These devils..." one of them muttered in disbelief. "They are all at the 12th Rank?"
"WHAT?!"
"HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!"
However, before anyone could understand what was happening, something even more incredible occurred.
Purple light abruptly exploded outward from where Grey stood.
The brilliance was so intense that it temporarily blinded everyone on the battlefield. Rays of pure purple energy shot across the sky as though a second sun had been born, and the overwhelming light washed over every devil that had emerged from the Hell Portal.
Immediately afterward, the transformation began.
Dark scales cracked and fell away, revealing pure white skin beneath. Their corrupted features melted before reforming into radiant, holy visages, while their devil horns dissolved into particles of golden dust before transforming into halos of brilliant light.
At the same time, wings of shadow burst into flames and reformed into wings of divine radiance. Every feather glowed with an inner fire that left trails of stardust hanging in the air.
The devils were becoming angels.
Angels of Nexus!
"What the hell is happening?!" a Yellow Devil commander screamed in complete disbelief.
Then Grey’s voice resounded across the entire settlement.
"My fellow angels, show them what it means to be an Angel."
BOOM!
The newly converted angels immediately descended upon the Yellow Devil forces with devastating precision.
Beams of holy light shot from their palms, cutting through corruption like sunlight through darkness, while their blades left arcs of golden fire with every swing. Yellow Devils began falling by the dozens with every passing second, their bodies disintegrating into black ash the moment the holy power touched them.
The White Devil King could only stare at the sky with his mouth hanging open.
"He’s converting devils into angels..." he muttered. "T-That’s impossible."
Prince Azrael’s arrogant expression had completely vanished.
"What kind of human has this power?" he whispered.
Meanwhile, Commander Vaelon felt his entire worldview crumbling before his eyes.
This was the brat he had looked down upon? This was the human he had thought was beneath him?
Grey had summoned devils and changed them into Angels!
At almost the same time, the White Devils collectively came to the same realization.
Perhaps Grey wasn’t a human at all.
Perhaps he was a God!
The Yellow Devil King watched his army being decimated with growing horror.
"How can someone be so powerful?!" he demanded. "What kind of monster is this?!"
His forces were being slaughtered left and right by the Nexus Angels. Every attack they attempted was effortlessly countered, while corruption evaporated the moment it came into contact with the angels’ holy fire.
However, after a brief moment of panic, the Yellow Devil King forced himself to calm down.
He took a deep breath and steadied his power.
"So what if there are angels here?" he growled, his confidence gradually returning. "I possess the power of the fourth level of the 13th Rank! I can deal with them myself!"
With that, he prepared to unleash his full strength upon the battlefield.
But before he could attack, everything changed.
Whrmm!
The world around them began glitching.
Reality itself started warping and distorting in ways that defied all logic. The sky flickered between crimson and purple while space cracked and shattered like broken glass, revealing glimpses of a swirling cosmic void beneath.
Even time itself began stuttering and skipping erratically, causing movements to appear in fragmented flashes.
The dimensional stability of the Ancient Hell was being torn apart.
As everyone watched in disbelief, Grey slowly floated into the sky above the battlefield.
Purple lightning crackled around his ascending form as his body began transforming. His physical form gradually dissolved into pure Axiom Power that radiated outward in waves of violet and gold, while Nexus Light poured from every part of his being and painted the crimson sky in brilliant new colors.
Visible currents of energy spiraled around him, twisting and dancing through the air.
He was opening his world!
Grey injected the Fate Power deep into his source, allowing it to merge completely with his existence. Silver threads of fate soon began weaving through the Nexus Axiom Energy, creating patterns of such perfection that they seemed almost unnatural.
His entire being trembled as the process accelerated.
Within him, a world slowly began to form as the Path recognized him as its sole creator and deemed him worthy of ascending to the 10th Rank.
The Fate Power drilled through the fabric of space-time continuum being born within him, creating a foundation for something entirely new. The energy spiraled according to perfect logarithmic patterns, following the Golden Ratio geometry Grey had designed.
Moments later, visible rings of energy expanded outward from his body.
Each ring pulsed with a different color as it swept across the battlefield, forcing both White Devils and Yellow Devils alike to stumble backward under the overwhelming pressure.
Inside Grey’s forming Inner World, galaxies began spinning into existence.
Stars ignited and blazed with newborn light, their fusion reactions visible as countless brilliant points of fire. Planets then began coalescing from cosmic dust and pure Nexus Energy, their surfaces forming mountains, oceans, and entire landscapes within accelerated time.
The White Devil King stopped fighting completely as he stared upward.
"What is that power?!" he exclaimed in absolute disbelief.
At the same time, cracks of purple light began spreading across the sky like a shattered mirror. Through those cracks, everyone could catch glimpses of the world forming inside Grey as swirling galaxies and blazing stars flickered in and out of view.
Commander Vaelon felt his knees grow weak.
The energy radiating from Grey’s transformation was beyond anything he had ever sensed before.
"This is impossible," he muttered. "His power level is shooting up!"
Everyone on the battlefield could feel it clearly.
Grey’s power rapidly climbed past the middle levels of the 12th Rank, and then a massive ring of purple energy exploded outward from his body, flattening several nearby buildings.
Yet it didn’t stop there.
His power continued rising.
Prince Azrael’s face gradually turned completely pale.
"He’s reaching the 13th Rank..." he muttered, his voice trembling.
Cold sweat ran down the White Devil King’s back.
Only a short while ago, he had wanted to test this human’s power through a friendly match with his son.
What an absolute joke that idea seemed now.
If Grey had truly decided to fight them seriously, the entire White Devil settlement could have been erased from existence in seconds.
And that was without even considering the army of Angels he had summoned.
Unlike the others, Seraphina watched Grey’s transformation with awe rather than fear. The brilliant light reflected in her silver eyes, making them sparkle as she stared at him.
"Amazing," she whispered softly. "You are really amazing, Grey."
Meanwhile, the Yellow Devil King fell to his knees involuntarily.
The pressure from Grey’s aura alone was enough to crush his resistance completely. Golden chains of energy wrapped around his limbs without anyone commanding them, pinning him to the ground.
"Monster..." he gasped. "This human is a monster."
Within Grey’s forming Inner World, something miraculous was happening.
The planets that had formed within his Inner World were changing.
Beings began appearing across their surfaces in flashes of silver light. Created from the combination of Nexus Energy and Fate Power, they materialized fully formed and completely aware of their own existence.
Grey immediately observed them with his perception and noticed something strange.
Every single being that had formed was born at the 7th Rank.
Without a single exception.
Moreover, all of them were unconsciously unleashing a special force that gathered at the center of his world. It appeared as countless streams of white light flowing from every living being toward a single central point.
This was the generation of World Force.
The Prime Continuum, or rather, the Nexus Continuum effect was working exactly as Grey had designed it. Every living being within his Inner World contributed to his overall power amplification.
Grey felt the final pieces of his Inner World click into place with perfect precision.
Then his transformation was finally completed.
A blinding flash of light erupted from his body and illuminated the entire Ancient Hell. The flash was so bright that it could be seen from every corner of the realm, causing countless devils and other living creatures to instinctively look toward the sky.
Far away, in a region inhabited only by Asuras, several powerful beings who had been deeply immersed in meditation slowly opened their eyes.
The moment they sensed the energy spreading through the Ancient Hell, their expressions immediately changed.
"Such immense World Force..." one of them muttered in disbelief. "It’s shaking the structural integrity of the Ancient Hell and trying to override it with its own."
Another Asura slowly stood up, staring toward the distant sky.
"Impossible," he muttered. "Does a force truly exist that can override the structure of the Ancient Hell as a world?"
Meanwhile, Grey floated high above the battlefield as a being of absolute power.
His aura pressed down upon everyone present without mercy, while visible waves of purple energy continued pulsing outward from his body in steady rhythms.
Then, he frowned slightly as he examined his Inner World more closely.
Something didn’t add up.
"Hey, wait..." Grey muttered with genuine confusion. "Why is everyone in my Inner World at the 7th Rank?"
When an Inner World formed, the entities within it should always begin at the 1st Rank.
No matter what.
