Chapter 659: The Leviathan
Perhaps human history would never know the tale of the creature known as the Leviathan.
Only the first rebel, the first one to dare and challenge the heavens, would know of this beast.
What men called angels and devils, what the ancient people of Babel, which now have become the Aragarian, do not know of its secrets.
The Nefilus beast that aided Nimrod was a being of power. Yet the Leviathan was also of a similar form.
It was a supra-dimensional being that existed alongside the many beings of power.
But alas, this being was also cursed like the Nefilus beast.
When the first Nefilus beast fell and was defeated, it brought along the Leviathans, who fell from their dimension and caused the dimensions to quake.
The result of the three dimensions was a long flood that brought down the home of the Leviathans into Earth.
For forty days, water from the heavens poured out to the Earth and covered most of the dry land. It turned Earth into a place of many rivers, into a world of many seas.
The Leviathans were ordered to hide within the depths of the sea.
Once, one surfaced back to the three-dimensional seas of Earth to swallow and spit out a Prophet that had fallen into the sea. This Leviathan was ordered by a supreme being to do so, and it obeyed the being perfectly.
But other than that incident, the Leviathans of Earth hid and faded into a time when they were forgotten.
Even though technology had evolved, with Pioneers and Presiders living in the deep sea, they could never find the home of the Leviathan, which had managed to scour so deep into the Earth that it could enter the regions inside it.
Sealed with many strange workings of the dimensions, even as the techs of Earth grew, they could never penetrate so deep into Earth and find the home of the few beasts of horror.
But while they were a myth on Earth, Nimrod had managed to capture several of the Leviathan's offspring and built Babel with them.
The great destruction of Babel made Nimrod bring several Leviathans on their escape.
These creatures continued to sit within the dimensions of Aragar and became one of its prime techs.
Many of their techs, the basis of ships for Presiders and Principals, including the Orbitals, were created from the beast.
And now, Greer had revealed the full power as one of the Pig Five. He had chosen to take the path of a Leviathan's master as his tech.
The gigantic beast appeared between the dimensions and gave up a mighty roar.
It looked like a giant crocodile. Its back had rows and rows of spikes as big as houses. When it opened its mouth, the Throne of Greer appeared.
The flames gathered around the mouth as the energy gathered.
Greer looked onwards to see the approaching Red Horse.
"Push forward. That girl... must be the one called Tyrant Empress. And she seems to be using her blood. She must have some form of mind-controlling tech. But... the curse of the Leviathan is strong." Greer smiled.
"As is written in the book of Job. When God challenged Job to tame the Leviathan..." The voice of Eagle echoed once more as he sensed the creature appears.
Greer heard of it and frowned.
"That damned preacher?"
"Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook or press down his tongue with a cord? Can you put a rope in his nose or pierce his jaw with a hook? Will he make many pleas to you? Will he speak to you soft words? Will he make a covenant with you to take him for your servant forever?"
Scenes of the Leviathan were being broadcast by the Unlock all over the globe. And those who had seen yet another horrifying battle could not help but listen to the Eagles' voice.
"Will you play with him as with a bird, or will you put him on a leash for your girls? Will traders bargain over him? Will they divide him up among the merchants? Can you fill his skin with harpoons or his head with fishing spears?" Eagle asked and asked.
"Friends, these were the questions God asked Job in Job 41. For such is the majestic appearance of a beast! Behold a beast that no man can conquer! A beast of the dimensions! A beast of great form! God continues... Lay your hands on him; remember the battle—you will not do it again! Behold, the hope of a man is false; he is laid low even at the sight of him. No one is so fierce that he dares to stir him up!"
The Leviathan suddenly began to glow as it transformed into a weaponized, armored creature.
The massive beast suddenly had a metal coating, and the army of Greer slowly appeared.
The massive mouth opened, and Gargantuant's appeared.
"I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, or his mighty strength, or his goodly frame. Who can strip off his outer garment? Who would come near him with a bridle? Who can open the doors of his face? Around his teeth is terror. His back is made of rows of shields, shut up closely as with a seal. One is so near to another that no air can come between them. They are joined one to another; they clasp each other and cannot be separated. His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the dawn. Out of his mouth go flaming torches; sparks of fire leap forth. Out of his nostrils comes forth smoke, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes."
Greer frowned.
"This must be... the manuscript written by the Supra-Dimensional being that the Progenitor managed defeat! Interesting. Earth knows the true appearance of the Leviathan through that manuscript..." Greer was intrigued. As a tamer of the beast, he had known the true appearance of the beast and all of its abilities. To Earth, the verse of Job 41 seemed very general.
But each sentence had a much deeper meaning, and Greer knew what each of the verses implied. Because the Leviathan was unswayed by talks, pleas, or its ability to show mercy, no being under the Prime level could use techs to tame the beasts.
All Presiders who wanted to purchase the beast would have to give up their souls and become the Prime's servant. The rare connection of Principal Dormin had given Greer this chance to wield the Leviathan. Still, it was a creature that was said to be unreasonable.
"His breath kindles coals, and a flame comes forth from his mouth. In his neck abides strength, and terror dances before him. The folds of his flesh stick together, firmly cast on him and immovable. His heart is hard as a stone, hard as the lower millstone. When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid; they are beside themselves at the crashing. Though the sword reaches him, it does not avail, nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin. He counts iron as straw, and bronze as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee; for him, sling stones are turned to stubble. Clubs are counted as stubble; he laughs at the rattle of javelins. His underparts are like sharp potsherds; he spreads himself like a threshing sledge on the mire. He makes the deep boil like a pot; he makes the sea like a pot of ointment. Behind him, he leaves a shining wake; one would think the deep to be white-haired. On Earth there is not his like, a creature without fear. He sees everything that is high; he is king over all the sons of pride." Eagle declared the power of the Leviathan and all watching could only remain amaze.
"Impressive. That manuscript has described, in simple terms, the profound power of my beast. So what will you do, oh red stallion?" Greer laughed.
"Caliphates! Choose now who to serve! This being can see through the dimensions and peer into your hearts! Prove to me that what you have promised months ago will be fulfilled!"
Greer's booming voice was spoken through the Leviathan.
The Caliphates answered as their forces marshaled and flew up to the skies to accompany the Leviathan.
"Leviathan! Bring all of us together!" Greer ordered.
A bright light appeared as the Leviathan 'splashed' on the dimensions, creating a rift and warping the armies that had set out close to it.
The armies of the Caliphates were all brought around it, and the skies were darkened by the number of soldiers that flew next to the Leviathan.
Strange scales began to float around the sky, and it appeared to be the back armor of the Leviathan.
"Impenetrable. Unassailable. And omnipresent. You dare challenge this?" Greer laughed.
"Such strong words... for a defeated Presider." The Tyrant Empress's voice rang out in a beautiful melody.
