Chapter 1059: Sneaking Out The Back Door

Chapter 1059: Sneaking Out The Back Door

Kujaku grinned at her question, waving her hands mysteriously.

“Magic,” she replied.

Kary frowned.

“That’s your answer? Magic? We can almost all use that here. Care to elaborate?” she asked.

“I don’t intend to, no. You’ll see once we get there. In the meantime, gather whatever you need for your business, as we won’t be doing two trips. I have to go get my men ready and make sure everything is ready to proceed,” Kujaku said, rising from her seat.

Kary raised her hand to stop her, but the woman was already walking away.

‘Fucking ninja…’

Alex shrugged, as he didn’t care how it was done as long as it worked.

“You heard the lady. Everyone pack your shit,” he commanded, getting up as well.

It took a second for the others to snap out of their daze, as the plan seemed so stupidly simple it made no sense that it could work. But they obeyed Alex’s command, heading to the cargo hold to grab their things.

It didn’t take long for them to be ready; their stuff was all in separate crates, unlike before, and they had experience gearing up. Within five minutes, they were ready to leave.

Kujaku’s men were already off the plane, and David was closing all the open crates in the cargo hold, grumbling about how Alex had abandoned him, and Killian was just watching him work.

While all this was happening, the Major had been in her cockpit, listening to music in one ear and awaiting instructions for departure in the other. She never even heard the shouting, much less noticed extra people had boarded her aircraft.

Since the customs agents never made it to her, she was oblivious to their fate.

When everyone had left the plane and was ready to go, Kujaku walked back to them, leaving the four agents alone with a teenager with a pink fauxhawk. Alex looked at the teen girl, wondering if she was the player Kujaku had mentioned with psychic powers.

The girl winked at him before lightly slapping the four agents out of their daze.

Alex frowned, wondering why she wasn’t waiting for them to be hidden before doing that. Kujaku saw his confusion and stepped in with an explanation.

“They are still under her control, and as long as she wills it, they’ll stay so. For now, the agents don’t even know you are here. A real pearl, that one,” Kujaku said, pride in her voice.

Alex shrugged. As long as there was no risk to them, he couldn’t care less if the agents saw them as purple dinosaurs.

“So. What now?” he asked.

“Now, we board the vehicles, and we head out. You leave your friend who was supposed to head back in with her and the agents, and she’ll get him in.”

Alex frowned again.

“Won’t she look suspicious?” he asked, looking at the teen again.

She was dressed in ripped jeans, a black band shirt, and a vest that screamed hoodlum. With her piercings and pink fauxhawk, there was no way that girl could pass as a customs agent.

“You let her worry about herself. How do you think I found her? She was sneaking around in a police station, grabbing shit from their evidence lockers without anyone even looking at her. No one will catch her if she doesn’t want to get caught.

“Unless, of course, you can detect mana. Trust me, she was just as surprised as I was when we noticed each other. If she were strong enough to mask all our presence, I would have her lead you inside instead of this complicated plan,” Kujaku grinned.

Kary pursed her lips, impressed by the balls on the young girl.

“What was she grabbing in the evidence lockers?” she asked, curious.

Kujaku smiled at Kary.

“Money and clothes. Apparently, she likes dressing in other people’s clothes. If you ask me, she’s a bit of an oddball, but she behaves.”

Kary couldn’t hold in the chuckle that escaped her lips.

“I get the money. But the clothes part? Oddball doesn’t begin to describe that kind of attitude,”

Kujaku shrugged, uncaring about Kary’s opinion. The girl had been helpful to her since she found her, but she couldn’t be bothered to defend her quirks.

“She gets the job done. I don’t care about the rest. Results are all that matter.”

Kary could argue with her that methods and the people using them mattered as well, but it

was a waste of time. She knew some of the woman’s background, and trying to teach that old monkey new tricks was pointless.

“Whatever. Let’s get this show on the road. I’m sure the airport is impatiently waiting for their report,” Kary said, glancing at the agents.

They seemed in a daze, walking with a wobble as they headed toward their cars.

They were separated into two vehicles, and the teenager boarded one with two agents, leaving Liu Yan to embark on the other with the remaining customs agents.

As they drove away, Kujaku looked to the other side of the hangar as a few more cars, identical to those, drove in.

“Our ride is here. Don’t dally; we must leave soon, or the airport cameras will find this suspicious.”

The six cars stopped before the group, not even bothering with going into park, and waited for them to hop in.

No time was wasted, and soon enough, all six of the cars filed back out from the back entrance to the hangar, heading away from the airport.

Major Schrute saw the two actual customs cars leave the hangar from her perch and wondered why they never came knocking at her cockpit door. However, she couldn’t be bothered to call

it in, taking it as a win.

Instructions for her departure didn’t take long to arrive, and she grinned, happy to be gone from this stringent security bullshit.

She did her takeoff instrumental inspection, as she did every time, and called to her passengers, whom she thought were still present, to saddle in for departure.

She would realize no one was on board once she arrived in Vietnam to refuel when she popped

out of her pilot cabin to an empty passenger cabin.

“What the fuck…”
