Chapter 647 - Neil's Stubborness
"There are still eight more hours. So, I might as well try it,"
Neil's words were simple as he stopped transferring the essence of nature into the map and sat crossed-legged before absorbing the essence of nature into his spirit consciousness.
'Interesting'
Not only the guild master, but everyone nodded their heads at Neil and allowed him to do what he wanted to do.
'As long as he fills the map, I might make an exception and pass him to round 2,'
Ramon silently said to the other vagrant cultivators about Neil.
'We are going to conduct the trials in your place. So, we will let you do as you wish,'
No one said 'no' to Ramon and agreed to let him do what he wanted to do.
...…
In the outer section of the cursed wilderness,
"Found it,"
Finally, after searching for some time, Ajax found something unusual somewhere near the barrier.
'It seems like a rune,'
Ajax carefully observed it as he thought in his head.
The rune on the ground had a circle in the centre with various arrows pointing at it and there were some other symbols surrounding the circle.
Overall, Ajax could say that someone must have drawn it recently and he concluded that it was one of the vagrant cultivators.
'Should I just pour my essence of nature into it to open the barrier?'
Ajax felt that 'round 1' would not be that hard and it would be simple; however, if they could not think properly, they would fail for something easy.
Moreover, thinking about the process of getting drawings on the map, Ajax felt he should try it.
'Swoosh'
Soon, he placed his hand on the circle of the rune drawing on the ground and sent the essence of nature into it.
'I hope, I am right,'
Ajax looked at the barrier while he transferred the essence of nature into the rune; however, there was no change in the barrier.
'Am I wrong?'
Ajax felt what he was doing was not the correct method to open the barrier.
'Kacha'
Just when he was about to stop pouring the essence of nature into the rune, he heard a crisp sound and at the same time cracks started appearing on it.
'Phew...I was not wrong,'
Ajax heaved a sigh of relief as he saw the barrier was getting cracks all over it.
'Shatter'
All of a sudden, it shattered and Ajax stopped pouring his essence of nature into the rune and walked to the position which was marked as 'X' on the ground.
It was the location that was marked as a red dot on his map.
'Finally, I reached my destination. How should I tell him that I have completed round 1?'
Ajax thought inside his head as he looked at his surroundings.
'Swoosh'
While he was thinking in his head, he suddenly disappeared from the position.
Along with him, the 'X' symbol on the ground also disappeared and if someone sees that place, they would not find anything there.
.....
While Ajax disappeared after reaching the destination, the other participants in the event reached their own destinations in various parts of the inner section of the cursed wilderness.
'Finally, I just need to pour the essence of nature into the rune and I think, the barrier will disappear,'
Levi and Paulin were able to find out the condition after whatever Ajax had tried and finally came to a conclusion to try the idea of pouring the essence of nature.
As for others, they just reached the destinations that were blocked by the barrier and started to try their own methods to find a way to the destination.
....
Inside the mercenary guild,
'Finally, one fellow,'
The moment, Ajax disappeared from his place after reaching the destination, Ramon informed others about it.
'Nice,'
Everyone including Edmond and Udo nodded their heads after hearing his words.
'Looks like another two might enter soon and as for the others it is impossible to enter,'
Ramon continued to give him the details of round 1 regarding the progress of the participants to the others beside him.
'Aren't we planning to take everyone to your secret realm? What is the need of this round anyway?'
The veiled matriarch, Sandra still didn't understand the point of this 'round 1' because it was not in their plan till this morning and all of a sudden, Ramon suggested it and others nodded their heads fearing that he would accept to conduct their trials in his secret realm.
So, when she heard Ramon's words, she shook her head and asked him about it.
'Haha'
Hearing her words, Ramon laughed a little as he said, 'I just wanted to get a rough idea of the capacity of their spirit consciousness and quality of their essence of nature.'
'Moreover, the barrier will be automatically opened just before five minutes of the 10 hours time which was given to complete round 1.
'Sigh'
Hearing that, Sandra sighed and looked at Neil before saying to Ramon, 'So, who is he going to come here? Are we going to bring him with us?'
Since they already planned to bring all the young men and women that Edmond brought with him, they could not just leave Neil behind.
Moreover, everyone left to the destination and since the barrier would be opened at the end of the trial time, then everyone could enter; however, Neil has yet to finish his map.
Neil was just a cultivator in the early commander realm. So, of course, his spirit consciousness's capacity would be less. Moreover, he was not as talented as any of the nine adopted children of Edmond much less to Ajax.
'Haha...leave him to me. I like his stubbornness. Maybe I will take him as my disciple as long as he completes any one or two trials in my secret realm,'
Ramon revealed a laugh as he replied to Sandra and others.
'I know why you want to take him as your disciple,'
The Soul handler, Elek, scoffed at Ramon as he continued, 'because he was just like you and even more foolish and stubborn than you.'
'Damn you...do you want to start a fight with me?'
Ramon became angry as he asked Elek in the voice transmission.
No matter how much he was angered, Ramon used only voice transmission to communicate with others as he didn't want to show his temper in front of his possible future disciple.
'Sure...do you want to have a go with me. I am always ready,'
Elek replied with a slight smile on his face as he replied to him.
'You two stop fighting. You are not kids anymore and have the grandchildren of his age already,'
Sandra stopped them while pointing at Neil, she said they have grandchildren of his age.
'Huh? Where is he?'
All of a sudden, they were unable to find Niel in the main hall and hurriedly closed their eyes and found him.
'He is still trying to complete the trial,'
'It will take more than 2 hours for him to reach the cursed wilderness with his speed. So, why he bothering to try it anyway,'
All the vagrant cultivators were puzzled and annoyed by Neil's foolishness except for Ramon, who was revealing a smile at their thoughts.
