New Ability Every Ten Days: Becoming a Vampire Made Me Too OP

Chapter 222: Overdrive World-Shattering Bubble

Amid the raging tornado, Yu Xian looked up at the Ancient Cosmic Dragon with a brilliant smile. "Perfect timing!"

For the past year, he had been constantly thinking about how to deal with enemies like Edward. He could not keep fighting until one side was completely drained every single time. For one thing, it was incredibly wasteful. Edward's Star Divine Artifact had been exhausted of all its energy and ended up reduced to little more than a lump of burnt-out slag. For another, it took far too much time. Unless they fought for several days and nights, it was virtually impossible to exhaust a Star-rank powerhouse's energy reserves.

After racking his brains and consulting many of his friends, he had finally developed a finishing move specifically designed to deal with these "tin cans."[1] Unfortunately, it had been completely useless against the Yellow Springs Water Ghost Collective. But now that he was facing the Ancient Cosmic Dragon, another walking "tin can," he could finally put the finishing move he had painstakingly mastered to use.

"Little Nora, Little Huang Quan, watch closely. This is your Big Bro's true strength!"

Yu Xian rolled his neck. Every vein across his body bulged, while flames blazed within his crimson eyes. Super Integrator - Shining Form.

He activated every enhancement ability he possessed at once, greatly strengthening every aspect of his body. This was an advanced version of Integrator - Black Blood Form. Its underlying principle was essentially the same, except that it used energy of a far higher and more powerful grade.

However, this state was not particularly suitable for battles between Star-rank powerhouses. Star Divine Artifacts were too durable. If Yu Xian could not defeat his opponent within a short period, maintaining this state would instead consume an enormous amount of energy and place him at a disadvantage.

Unless he was a hundred percent certain of victory, Yu Xian generally would not use this state. The reason he was using it now was that it served as the prerequisite for his finishing move. He needed Super Integrator - Shining Form to control every drop of energy and every single cell in his body.

By this point, the Ancient Cosmic Dragon was already right in front of him. Yet its movements had become incredibly slow, as though time itself had been stretched. To Yu Xian, a single second now felt like ten minutes.

He raised his hand, and a bubble no larger than the ballpoint tip of a pen formed. Then another bubble formed, followed by another and another in a frenzy. Within those bubbles, even more bubbles continued to multiply endlessly.

After one-third of a second, an enormous bubble had already formed above Yu Xian's raised palm. Inside it were countless more bubbles layered upon bubbles.

There was simply no way to count them. With Yu Xian's current computational ability, he could create an immense number of bubbles every millisecond. All of those bubbles were then integrated into a single colossal bubble, and no one could say just how terrifying its power had become.

Yu Xian had once considered compressing all his energy into a single point to increase its destructive power, but experiments had shown that this approach would not work. Even a Star-rank powerhouse's mental energy had its limits, and no matter how far the energy was compressed, it still could not destroy a Star Divine Artifact.

It was not that the idea of compressing energy was flawed. It was simply beyond what a Star-rank powerhouse could achieve.

After that, he had considered training in martial arts instead, perhaps mastering a move to the absolute pinnacle like Instructor Wang Xingnuo. In the end, he lasted less than three days before giving up. He had to admit that he was nothing more than a useless guy blessed with absurdly good luck.

In the end, he returned to what he was best at: bubbles. After consulting many of his friends and painstakingly training for a long time, he developed the finishing move most suited to him—the Overdrive World-Shattering Bubble.

Yu Xian shrunk the enormous bubble to the size of a basketball. He then swung his arm, and the Overdrive World-Shattering Bubble shot toward the rapidly spinning Ancient Cosmic Dragon and collided with it head-on.

A blinding white light erupted, and the world fell silent.

According to research, an ordinary bubble in water could generate temperatures as high as 20,000 degrees Celsius at the moment of its collapse. This extreme heat was the result of the rapid movement and collision of particles inside the collapsing bubble. However, because the process lasted for only an extremely brief instant, the temperature, though incredibly high, posed no harm to humans.

Yu Xian's bubbles, however, were no ordinary bubbles. They were bubbles imbued with spatial properties. When trillions upon trillions of spatial bubbles collapsed simultaneously, the resulting power was simply unimaginable.

Within the Abyss, dozens of spacecraft were fleeing the pitch-black, shattered universe. Ahead lay a vast expanse of dark crimson space, composed of enormous amounts of energy and matter tainted with mental corruption. Any living being exposed to this crimson region would rapidly undergo mutation, eventually transforming into a monster.

Behind them stretched the blackness of the universe, but this universe was incomplete. It looked like a shattered tile, with scattered motes of starlight flickering in the darkness. Near its edge, a planet suddenly erupted with dazzling light.

The blinding white radiance even illuminated the surrounding darkness of space. Every supernatural being fleeing aboard their spacecraft stared at the planet in stunned disbelief. Had they failed to evacuate in time, they would undoubtedly have died from that attack.

The light gradually faded. The planet, already riddled with cracks, shattered into pieces. It was not that Yu Xian could destroy an entire planet with a single attack. However, his strike had unquestionably been the decisive blow, the final straw that broke the camel's back.

On one of the fragmented continents, a scaleless dragon lay submerged in magma, looking somewhat like a roasted chicken. The instant the Overdrive World-Shattering Bubble burst, countless densely packed shockwaves struck the Ancient Cosmic Dragon head-on. Every scale on its body shattered instantly, while it suffered catastrophic physical damage. Although a faint trace of life remained, it was already on the verge of death.

Yu Xian teleported in front of the Ancient Cosmic Dragon and simply stood there, watching it in silence. There was no need for him to do anything more. The Ancient Cosmic Dragon's body had already been completely shaken apart at the atomic level. The only reason it had not dispersed was that its fading consciousness was barely holding it together.

"Human... I refuse to accept this."

The Ancient Cosmic Dragon's thoughts echoed through the surroundings. I had obtained the Forbidden Fruit. It had both offense and defense. So why was I unable to withstand even a single attack from him?

It could not understand. It wanted to ask Yu Xian how he had done it. But there was no time left. The Ancient Cosmic Dragon's body abruptly collapsed, dispersing into countless atoms.

Battles between Star-rank powerhouses were sometimes simply that brutal. Unless the two sides were extremely close in strength, one of them could easily end up dead. Neither side could afford to hold back, because holding back meant risking their life.

Only after the Ancient Cosmic Dragon died did Yu Xian speak. "If I had lost, do you think I would have been willing to accept it?"

Since one side was destined to die with regrets, Yu Xian would always make sure that side was his enemy.

Little Nora excitedly cheered. "Big Bro, we won! That was amazing! Even the Ancient Cosmic Dragon lost to us!"

Little Huang Quan, however, began singing an ancient ballad. Her young, tender voice seemed to possess the power to soothe souls, and countless faint motes of light emerged from the magma, slowly drifting toward the sky.

"Down the shadowed road to Yellow Springs, from bleached bones, ghostly flowers bloom. Rootless ghosts and remnant souls, come, drink the tea of Forgetfulness."

Amid the quiet, haunting song, Yu Xian raised his head and watched the motes of light gradually disappear. He suddenly remembered that Little Huang Quan had once said she could sing. She had not meant ordinary singing at all. Her songs were requiems that guided departed souls onward.

1. In this context, Yu Xian is referring to enemies who are extremely heavily armored and difficult to damage, especially because of their Star Divine Artifacts. He is basically comparing them to an indestructible metal can. ☜
