Seeing Yu Xian effortlessly deal with the other personalities, Zhou Tai No. 2 excitedly shouted, "Master is mighty! Master—"

However, before he could truly get started, a single look from Yu Xian stopped his performance. He hurriedly covered his mouth and looked at Yu Xian.

Only then did Yu Xian turn his attention back to the others. He raised his right hand, and his arm transformed into a giant serpent that sank its fangs into Zhou Tai No. 3. In the blink of an eye, he drained the phoenix into a mummified bird, sucking every drop of its blood.

Yu Xian repeated the process with the other personalities, draining the blood from the bodies they controlled. Once the host bodies died, the various personalities instantly returned to Zhou Tai No. 2, the main body. His eyes rolled into his head, and he shook uncontrollably.

Yu Xian immediately flicked a droplet of blood from his other hand toward Zhou Tai. The moment it merged into his body, the convulsions rapidly subsided, and the other personalities fell under Yu Xian's control as well.

Yu Xian's intention had actually been to kill Zhou Tai and be done with it. However, Zhou Tai's ability to awaken the supernatural bloodlines within beasts was highly useful. After some consideration, he decided to place Zhou Tai completely under his control and turn him into a pawn. Of course, once Zhou Tai was no longer useful, Yu Xian would hand him over to Huaxia and allow the authorities to judge his crimes and decide whether he lived or died.

Yu Xian willed Zhou Tai No. 2 to take command of the body, and he spoke fervently. "Master—"

However, Yu Xian interrupted him. "From now on, call me Boss. Also... stop flattering me all the time. Now follow me!"

Yu Xian created a spatial bubble in front of him and stepped inside first, teleporting away. Zhou Tai hurried after him and was likewise transported to the other end.

The spatial bubble led to Qilin's headquarters. Yu Xian handed Zhou Tai to Bat and reported the situation to Yu Lie. Leaving Zhou Tai at Qilin, he departed once again.

Yu Xian was extremely busy, devoting himself to becoming stronger while monitoring Edward from high above with his eyeball bubbles. He knew perfectly well that Edward had completely lost his mind, having already slaughtered the entire populations of several countries.

It was a massacre in the truest sense. Men and women, young and old, none had been spared. City after city, everywhere he looked, there were withered corpses. The sight was deeply shocking.

Yu Xian desperately wanted to appear before Edward and stop him. However, his Super Brain forced him to remain calm and recognize that he was their final hope. At a time like this, more than ever, he had to play it safe! He could not afford to fail. He had to win. Only then could he save everyone, rather than offer them a moment of hope and then drag that hope down into despair.

Yu Xian once again appeared near the Gray Planet, this time atop an asteroid. Sitting cross-legged, he refined the blood he had just absorbed.

The Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art activated. A vast quantity of blood surged from his body and enveloped him. He selected Fenrir's bloodline and rapidly devoured his own blood.

The bloodline of Fenrir, the Demon Wolf, was composed of dozens of supernatural giant-wolf bloodlines, several of which were associated with the moon. Through this bloodline, Yu Xian gained the ability to grow stronger by basking in moonlight. However, the ability was far weaker than Light Devourer and could, at best, provide only a minor supplementary benefit. After all, Light Devourer was already capable of devouring moonlight.

By now, Yu Xian possessed far too many abilities, so many that they had begun to feel somewhat cumbersome. Earth Manipulation, for example, could be divided into Sand Manipulation, Stone Manipulation, Soil Manipulation, and Swamp Manipulation, as well as Granite Manipulation, Pebble Manipulation, Marble Manipulation, and others. Without Super Brain, he wouldn't even remember exactly how many abilities he possessed, much less use them all effectively.

After refining Fenrir's bloodline, Yu Xian selected the phoenix bloodline and began refining it. However, he had miscalculated. Since he had gathered only seven supernatural bloodlines this time, he had not paid much attention to the energy requirements, believing that the energy stored within his body would be sufficient to refine them all.

However, the phoenix controlled by Zhou Tai No. 3 gave him an enormous surprise. The phoenix's bloodline was similarly complex, but at its core was a Flame Mountain Blazing Sparrow that possessed the Six Dings' Divine Fire.[1]

This Blazing Sparrow had been born on Flaming Mountain in a parallel world where Journey to the West took place and possessed the Six Dings' Divine Fire from birth. When the Abyss devoured it, this powerful flame was incorporated into the phoenix bloodline. It granted the phoenix the ability to ignite the Six Dings' Divine Fire whenever it died and be reborn in a purer, more powerful form.

However, if its blood was completely drained and its power exhausted, leaving it without any fuel, the phoenix would still die. That was precisely what Yu Xian had done. By draining all the blood from the phoenix, he had deprived it of the fuel it needed to immolate itself, leading to its true death.

Now that Yu Xian had acquired the phoenix bloodline, he had likewise inherited the Six Dings' Divine Fire. Through the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art, he even reconstructed its complete form.

The phoenix possessed only an incomplete version of the Six Dings' Divine Fire, so its effects were extremely weak. The complete Six Dings' Divine Fire, however, was not used solely for refining pills. It also possessed an immensely powerful purification effect. A combination of it and the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art could even produce an effect greater than the sum of their parts.

However, reconstructing the complete Six Dings' Divine Fire required an enormous amount of energy. The instant Yu Xian began refining it, the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art exhausted all the energy within him. He rapidly shriveled, as though all the blood inside him had been burned away.

Yu Xian had never expected to encounter such a high-grade bloodline. "This is bad."

He immediately tried to stop the refinement, but the next instant, another source of energy replenished everything he had consumed and continued supplying the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art.

That energy was formed from positive thoughts. It came from the love, admiration, and trust that millions upon millions of people back home placed in him.

Yu Xian was dumbfounded. He had never imagined that this energy could be both so vast and so potent. Moreover, he sensed that the Six Dings' Divine Fire was particularly fond of this energy, to the point that even the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art began consuming less energy.

Three hours later, the Six Dings' Divine Fire ignited across Yu Xian's body. It instantly burned away every impurity within him. The flames spread into the depths of his body and even his soul, incinerating everything harmful, chaotic, or impure.

Yu Xian had originally possessed a great many disorganized abilities, but under the flames of the Six Dings' Divine Fire, they were sorted and consolidated at the touch of a button, with related abilities merging. For example, the Six Dings' Divine Fire burned away all subdivisions of Earth Manipulation into pure energy and merged them into it.

As the Six Dings' Divine Fire tempered him, Yu Xian underwent a complete transformation, and his Power soared. Refining the Six Dings' Divine Fire had already increased his Power by 10 points. Then, the tempering strengthened all his abilities and made them purer and more streamlined, increasing his Power by another 10 points.

His Power had finally broken through to Star rank!

1. 六丁神火 (liùdīngshénhuǒ) or Six Dings' Divine Fire is a legendary divine flame from Daoist mythology. The "Six Dings" refer to six yin-aligned divine spirits among the Twelve Divine Generals known collectively as the 六丁六甲(liùdīngliùjiǎ), or the Six Dings and Six Jias. It is often associated with Daoist alchemy, especially the divine fire used for refining elixirs and magical treasures. ☜
