Chapter 1402: Wash Your Neck (Part 3)
"Are you going to leave without greeting your father?"
Just as Evan was about to leave, finally bringing an end to all the chaos, a voice suddenly echoed inside his mind.
For a brief second, Evan’s mind went blank when he heard the voice.
Although he had heard this voice only twice before—the first time inside the Tomb of the Ancient and the second time when he entered the Blood Dungeon back on Earth, he could never forget it.
"Mythrenor..." He muttered under his breath, his expression turning extremely cold. So cold that, at that moment, he looked no different from Azroth.
"Calling your father by his name... I see you still haven’t learned any manners yet."
The same voice echoed inside his mind once again.
But when Evan looked around, other than Alistair, Baphomet, and Eilistraea, he could not see anyone else.
"A hiding dog is not worthy of calling himself my father," Evan spoke in a cold voice as he tried to search for Mythrenor.
Eilistraea and the others, who had still been trying to catch Evan, paused when they suddenly noticed the change in his expression and heard his words.
If earlier he had only appeared calm with a tense aura around him, now a cold killing intent was pouring out from his body.
Although it was far weaker than the intensity they remembered from the past, both Eilistraea and Alistair still did not dare approach him recklessly anymore because his current expression was very similar to the cold-blooded man from their memories.
The one who felt the change most clearly was Baphomet.
He had already witnessed the shift in Evan back inside the Tomb of the Ancient, and seeing him like this again, although he was not releasing the same terrifying pressure as before, the demon monarch still felt his teeth ache when he recalled what had happened inside the tomb.
Without anyone noticing, Baphomet quietly backed away a little, keeping his distance because he absolutely did not want a repeat of what had happened back then.
Evan did not care about the changes in their expressions and continued scanning the surroundings with cold eyes.
Just like the first time he had seen Mythrenor in his memories, the moment he heard his voice, Evan once again felt an uncontrollable anger rise from the depths of his soul, making him want to tear that man apart.
"If I am a dog, then by default, as my son, aren’t you a dog as well?" Mythrenor burst into laughter, completely ignoring Evan’s mockery.
’He is not responding to my taunts the same way he did with Eclipse...’ Evan frowned slightly when he heard Mythrenor’s reaction because it was completely different from what he had expected.
The last time, when he had killed the king of the Maldrith Kingdom after going to meet the Phoenix Clan, he had left Eclipse behind to deliver a message to whoever came later to investigate.
Surprisingly, the person who arrived at that time had actually been Mythrenor himself.
And when Eclipse mocked him, he had become visibly enraged very easily.
But now, he was completely ignoring Evan’s insults.
’It seems Azroth used to insult him very often in the past, and he eventually became immune to it...’ Evan thought inwardly, and a sinister light flashed through his eyes.
’But too bad for him. My level when it comes to irritating people is on a completely different level compared to Azroth.’
As this thought crossed his mind, Evan’s lips curled upward into a mocking smile.
"Me, a dog?" He sneered. "Do you really think I am your son? A complete fool who knows nothing about what your partner did behind your back?"
Silence followed after Evan finished speaking.
Only after three seconds did Mythrenor speak again.
"What do you mean?"
"From the very beginning, do you really think it was possible for someone like me to be born naturally?" Evan spoke coldly, and without giving Mythrenor any chance to interrupt, he continued.
"You were nothing more than a breeding tool in her eyes, and there were many others like you. Maybe there are still more out there even now while you are sitting here."
Evan felt absolutely no psychological burden from throwing dirt at Mythrenor and Lesentra, the Progenitor of Demons.
To him, there was no difference between them and roadside trash that he would burn to ashes without a second thought, feeling afterward that he had done a good deed.
Even if he could not do anything to Mythrenor right now, he still wanted to disturb his mental state as much as possible.
Since the war against Winterclaw was approaching soon and they would inevitably clash, it would naturally be beneficial if Mythrenor’s psychological state was unstable.
’Five seconds...’
Evan looked at the remaining duration of Draven’s authority and decided to deliver one final blow.
"When you return to the Origin Universe in the future, you might already have a few million step sons and step daughters waiting for you. Oh, sorry..." Evan suddenly smiled coldly.
"You probably won’t get to see your stepchildren anymore because..."
His smile widened.
"I will bury you on the roadside soon enough, where countless stray dogs can happily water your grave with their piss."
BOOOOOOM!
A terrifying pressure suddenly engulfed the entire area, causing Evan’s body to sink slightly.
"You ungrateful trash, how dare you talk to me like this?!" A voice filled with deep anger resounded throughout the area, shaking everyone’s eardrums.
The expressions of Baphomet and the others changed, as even they felt a slight pressure just from hearing the voice.
’Draven...’
Evan immediately ordered Draven to leave, knowing that he had successfully enraged the old dog.
A silver light flashed, and Evan’s body began to disappear alongside Draven.
"Wash your neck carefully, you stupid dog. And don’t worry about your stepchildren and wife..."
Evan’s cold voice echoed through the area as his body faded away.
"I will take good care of them."
’Of course, by burying every single one of them along with you.’
