Chapter 656: The Grand Finale (Part 5)
“You thought your actions were flawless, but not a single one has escaped my sight.”
Chu He took a step forward, his aura suddenly surging in intensity.
A vicious glint flashed in Abbot Tonghua’s eyes as he said, “Chu He, don’t be so arrogant. While our Buddha Country seeks no conflict with the world, we are not to be trifled with. Since you’ve come seeking a fight, you’ll have only yourself to blame for what happens next.”
Before the abbot could make another move, Chu He stomped his right foot. The entire hall shook violently, and dust showered down from the rafters.
Moving like a bolt of lightning, Chu He instantly appeared before Abbot Tonghua.
Abbot Tonghua’s pupils constricted. He had just begun to raise his hands to form a Sealing Technique when Chu He’s right hand shot out, fingers curled into a claw, aiming straight for the abbot’s throat.
Abbot Tonghua hastily sidestepped, but Chu He’s strike was too fast. It grazed his shoulder, leaving a trail of blood.
“You…” Abbot Tonghua was both shocked and enraged, but before he could get the word out, Chu He’s left fist was already hurtling toward him with a whistle.
In a panic, Abbot Tonghua raised his arm to block. With a sickening THUD, his arm felt as if it had been struck by a sledgehammer. The bone shattered instantly, and the immense force sent him flying backward to crash heavily against one of the hall’s pillars.
PTUI!
Abbot Tonghua spat out a mouthful of blood, leaning against the pillar to support himself, his eyes filled with terror.
‘He could kill me in an instant, but he’s just toying with me.’
Chu He, however, did not pause. He crossed the distance in a few strides and looked down at the abbot, his gaze as cold as ice. “Your sins end here.”
With that, Chu He raised his right hand. A ball of golden light gathered in his palm, pulsing with world-ending power.
“No—” Abbot Tonghua screamed in terror. He tried to dodge, only to find his body locked in place by Chu He’s aura, utterly immobile.
Chu He thrust his palm forward, and the ball of golden light shot toward Abbot Tonghua.
The light instantly pierced through Abbot Tonghua’s body, leaving a gaping hole in his chest.
The light in Abbot Tonghua’s eyes rapidly dimmed as his body slowly slumped to the floor, lifeless.
Chu He looked at Abbot Tonghua’s corpse. “You had the chance to bring blessings to all, yet you chose this path of corruption.”
Then, he turned to the other panicked monks in the hall and declared in a booming voice, “The Buddha Country is meant to be a place of purity. Do not let yourselves be blinded by ambition again.”
Sunlight streamed through the hall’s windows, illuminating the bloody scene.
Chu He turned and strode out of the Great Hero Hall.
…
After Chu He defeated the Light God and brought peace to the world, the Great Xia Empire entered an unprecedented era of glory and prosperity.
Chu He dedicated himself to ensuring that every citizen of Great Xia could lead a prosperous and peaceful life.
Today, the Great Xia Empire was a picture of tranquility. It had become the focus of the world, a place countless people longed to be.
「Early morning」
The first rays of dawn gently fell upon the Great Xia Empire.
Cities were bathed in a golden glow, brimming with vibrant life.
Long lines had already formed at the streetside breakfast stalls.
With steaming hot buns and fragrant soy milk, the vendor enthusiastically greeted each customer. People’s faces were filled with satisfied smiles as they began another beautiful day of their lives.
“Here you are! Your buns and soy milk. Enjoy!” the vendor said with a smile, handing the breakfast to an office worker.
“Thanks! I look forward to this every morning. It’s such a secure and peaceful life.”
The office worker replied with a smile, taking the breakfast.
Thanks to Chu He’s efforts, the Great Xia Empire’s housing crisis had been completely resolved. Those who once worried about finding a place to live now resided in spacious, well-lit homes.
In the cities, skyscrapers were arranged in an artful, pleasing manner. Each building was ingeniously designed, not only beautiful and elegant but also perfectly tailored to the residents’ needs.
The residential communities were filled with shady trees and lush flowers, complete with a full range of recreational facilities.
Children laughed and played in the community playgrounds while the elderly sat on benches, soaking up the sun and chatting. It was a scene of perfect harmony.
In one of the new residential communities, a young mother was taking her child for a walk.
The child ran excitedly toward a slide, and the mother watched with a gentle smile, her eyes filled with happiness.
“Sweetie, slow down a little. Be careful,” the mother gently advised.
“Mommy, this place is so nice! I love our new home,” the child said happily.
“Yes, it is. It’s all thanks to Lord Chu He that we get to live in such a wonderful house and have such a happy life.”
the mother said with deep emotion.
…
Furthermore, the agricultural development of the Great Xia Empire had also made tremendous achievements.
Advanced agricultural technology and scientific management methods allowed crops to thrive, leading to bumper harvests year after year. Warehouses were piled high with grain, and the threat of famine was a distant memory.
Markets overflowed with a dazzling array of fresh fruits and vegetables at affordable prices, allowing everyone to enjoy a rich and varied diet.
In the rural farmlands, farmers were busy at work.
Looking at the thriving crops before them, their faces beamed with the joy of an anticipated bumper harvest.
“This year’s harvest is definitely going to be another bumper crop!” an old farmer said with a grin.
“You bet. Farming is so much easier now. With the new tech and equipment, yields are high, our income is high, and life just keeps getting better.”
A younger farmer nearby chimed in.
In the factories, workers skillfully operated advanced machinery on bustling production lines.
Businesses prioritized employee welfare and development, providing excellent working conditions and opportunities for advancement.
“Master Zhang, once we finish this batch of orders, we’ll get a few days off.”
A young worker said to the older master craftsman beside him.
“That’s right. The work is steady, the pay is good, and we have time to spend with our families. It’s a great life, isn’t it?” Master Zhang replied with a smile.
…
“Uncle Wang, you’re recovering quite well. We’ll keep you for a few more days of observation, and then you can go home,” a doctor said to a patient with a smile.
“Thank you so much, Doctor. Getting medical care is so convenient and affordable now. It’s all thanks to the Empire’s wonderful policies,” Uncle Wang said gratefully.
…
Beyond material prosperity, the cultural life of the Great Xia Empire was also rich and vibrant.
Ancient traditions were being preserved and celebrated, and cultural activities of all kinds were flourishing.
Museums housed countless historical artifacts, allowing people to experience the Great Xia Empire’s long and brilliant history.
Theaters staged spectacular plays, dances, and concerts, fulfilling the people’s spiritual and cultural needs.
During a traditional festival, the city squares were decorated with lanterns and banners, bustling with excitement.
People dressed in traditional attire to take part in various celebratory activities.
Dragon and lion dances, opera performances, and traditional food showcases immersed everyone in the rich festive atmosphere.
“The festival atmosphere is so lively! We must never let these traditions die out.”
an elderly man remarked with feeling.
“That’s right. Now that life is good, there are more and more cultural events like this. It makes life so much richer,” a young person next to him added.
As the Great Xia Empire flourished, more and more people yearned to join this nation filled with hope and happiness.
However, the Great Xia Empire had a strict rule: only those who possessed the purest Great Xia bloodline could join.
This rule was not only for the protection of the Great Xia Empire’s culture and traditions,
but also to maintain the harmony and stability of the entire Empire.
Despite this, the Great Xia Empire did not close itself off to the outside world.
During an international cultural exchange event, a foreign visitor remarked with awe, “The development of the Great Xia Empire is astounding. The people here live such happy lives. Although we cannot join, we hope to maintain good cooperation with the Great Xia Empire for mutual development.”
Under Chu He’s leadership, the future of the Great Xia Empire was filled with infinite possibilities.
In the largest square of the Royal City stood two stone tablets.
The inscription on them read:
Long live the Great Xia Empire,
Long live the great unity of the Human Race,
In the bottom right corner was the word “Teacher”.
