Chapter 644: Chapter 435: The Final Mission is Complete, Congratulations, Host, on Stepping into the Human Emperor Realm

His gaze was deep and calm, as if this sudden turn of events hadn’t flustered him in the slightest.

Within the pillar of light, a figure slowly descended.

The newcomer was none other than the Pope of the Bright Holy See. He wore a crown studded with rare gems, and at its center was a massive Ruby that emanated a mysterious and majestic glow.

The Pope was dressed in a floor-length white robe embroidered with intricate golden patterns. Each design contained a unique, mystical power and shimmered faintly with his every movement.

The Pope had a handsome face. Though he was middle-aged, time had left few marks, instead bestowing him with a mature and steady charm.

His eyes were deep and sharp, as if they could see through all things. The confidence and majesty in his gaze were so intense that no one dared to meet his eyes.

His long, black hair fluttered in the wind, every strand possessing an otherworldly grace. He exuded an ethereal aura, like a deity descending upon the Mortal World.

The moment the Pope landed, a wondrous change occurred.

The once somewhat desolate manor was instantly enveloped in flourishing vitality.

The withered trees seemed to be infused with life force, rapidly sprouting tender green shoots.

Faded flowers bloomed anew, their colorful petals swaying gently in the breeze.

Colorful butterflies danced among the flowers, flapping their wings as if cheering for the Pope’s arrival.

The air filled with the fresh scent of flowers and the fragrance of soil—the aroma of life renewed. Time itself seemed to reverse here, and all living things were infused with new life and vitality.

Chu He’s brow furrowed slightly as he keenly sensed the immense pressure emanating from the Pope.

This pressure wasn’t a show of martial force, but an intangible spiritual suppression.

An unseen force was constantly assailing his will.

Chu He knew the man before him was far from ordinary.

“Chu He, I’ve heard much about you.”

The Pope finally spoke, his voice deep and magnetic. It echoed through the manor like a great bell, and every word seemed to carry a special Magic Power.

“I have come today to invite you to join the Celestial Palace and share in this world’s glory and riches with us.”

The corners of the Pope’s mouth turned up slightly in a confident smile.

‘The terms he offered were something no one could refuse.’

Chu He’s expression remained calm as he looked the Pope directly in the eye. He replied firmly, “My ambitions do not lie there. I only wish for a just world, to help humanity live together in peace, where everyone can have a good home, enough to eat and warm clothes to wear, be reunited with their families, and live free from sickness and disaster.”

The Pope shook his head gently, a faint smile playing on his lips as if mocking Chu He’s naivety. “You are far too naive. Those common members of the Human Race are insignificant. Their only value in this world is to endlessly bring joy to the Deities of the Celestial Palace. Why must you be so fixated on their fate?”

There was a hint of disdain in the Pope’s tone. In his eyes, the common Human Race were merely tools to be used by the Deities.

Chu He took a step forward. “Every life has its own meaning and value. How dare you treat them with such contempt.”

Seeing this, the Pope’s expression turned serious. He spoke slowly, “Are you aware that there was once another who held the same ideals as you?

He did indeed succeed in resisting foreign invaders and rebuilt a great nation.

But he could never escape the limits of a human lifespan and eventually grew old.

After he died, those vile schemers lurking in the shadows all came crawling out, attempting to erase his magnificent achievements.

And the Deities of the Celestial Palace, who dared not act rashly while he lived,

but as soon as he died, they intensified their oppression of humanity.

They even set up formations to prevent his body from being laid to rest,

slaughtered all of his students and followers,

and tortured them to death by all sorts of cruel means.”

At this point, a sinister glint flashed in the Pope’s eyes. “Chu He, if you are unwilling to cooperate with us, you will only follow the same tragic path.”

The Pope took another step forward, the pressure emanating from him intensifying as he tried to make Chu He yield with his words and his aura.

Energy began to surge around Chu He. The surrounding air seemed to ignite, emitting a SIZZLING sound.

He raised his hand, and with a sharp wave, sent a powerful force surging toward the Pope.

BOOM! The Pope’s figure was instantly shattered, dissolving into countless motes of light that dispersed into the air.

This was merely one of the Pope’s Light Avatars.

As it dissipated, the Pope’s avatar stared viciously at Chu He and said through gritted teeth, “We will meet again very soon. You have made the wrong decision!”

His voice, filled with resentment and menace, seemed to echo up from the Nine Netherworld Hell.

Chu He watched the Pope’s slowly fading avatar, his expression cold and stern. He slowly recited a poem: “The Golden Monkey wrathfully swung his massive cudgel, and the jade-like firmament was cleared of dust. Today we hail Sun Wukong, only because the fiendish mist is back again.”
