Naruto World: Tenseigan
Chapter 507: Invincibility Period
Chapter 507: Chapter 507: Invincibility Period
On the moon.
Inside a bedroom within the Moonheart Palace, an elderly man with a face covered in wrinkles and unfocused eyes lay quietly on the bed.
Sitting beside the bed was a handsome boy of around eleven or twelve years old. His pure-white eyes were fixed intently on the old man lying before him, and beneath his indifferent expression flickered a trace of sorrow that was almost impossible to detect.
There was no doubt that the old man on the bed was approaching the end of his life. Even the heavy scent of medicinal herbs filling the room could not conceal the aura of decay emanating from his body.
Death was already drawing near!
At that moment, a puppet responsible for cleaning the palace entered the bedroom and respectfully bowed to the boy.
The boy frowned slightly and rebuked it in an displeased tone, "Didn’t I already tell you? Don’t disturb me at a time like this!"
The puppet immediately dropped to its knees in fear and trepidation. Speaking in a strange, unnatural tone, it reported, "Master, an abnormality has occurred within the temple."
The boy’s gaze sharpened.
The Giant Tenseigan enshrined within the temple was the key to safeguarding the Moonheart Palace.
The large number of Tenseigan puppets that maintained the palace’s normal operations, the barrier protecting the Moonheart Palace, as well as the equipment and technique used to monitor the shinobi world—all of them were supplied with chakra by that Giant Tenseigan.
If anything happened to it, the consequences would be unimaginable!
At that thought, the boy glanced once more at the old man lying on the bed.
The old man’s life was already nearing its end. At a time like this, the boy truly didn’t want to leave and allow the old man to die alone.
After hearing the puppet’s report, the old man on the bed weakly said,
"Go to the temple..."
Looking into the old man’s already-clouded eyes, the boy appeared somewhat hesitant.
Seeing the boy unable to make up his mind, the dying old man seemed to experience one final burst of vitality. He suddenly grabbed the boy’s arm and instructed him,
"Toneri, you are the last hope of our Otsutsuki clan. You must find out what caused the abnormality in the Giant Tenseigan! The shinobi world created by the Sage of Six Paths has already become corrupt. Destroy it! Rebuild an entirely new shinobi world!"
The boy named Toneri nodded solemnly. Then, with a flicker, his figure vanished from the bedroom...

RUMBLE, RUMBLE, RUMBLE...
Amid deafening explosions and violent tremors that shook the earth and mountains, the clash of ocular powers between Kagami and Nagato continued beneath the night sky!
Under the force of the two enormous repulsive forces, the cliff that had already been split in two began shaking more and more violently. At the same time, the artificial chasm separating Kagami and Nagato grew wider and deeper by the second, until its bottom could scarcely be seen!
More and more cracks spread across the cliff. The ground fractured inch by inch, and the entire mountain showed signs of collapsing.
It might not be long before the two halves of the cliff completely crumbled apart. Realizing this, both sides immediately used their respective methods to evacuate the cliff.
On Nagato’s side, a pair of paper wings instantly unfolded behind Konan. Like an angel, she shot into the air, her worried gaze fixed on Nagato, who remained atop the cliff.
Obito, his expression grave, took a step backward and disappeared into a twisting vortex, while Zetsu silently sank underground.
On Kagami’s side, under the joint command of the Third Hokage and the Third Tsuchikage, the less severely injured shinobi carried those who were critically wounded and unconscious away from the crumbling cliff one after another, retreating far into the distance.
In only a short while, the only ones remaining atop Nagato’s half of the cliff were Nagato, the Gedo Statue, and Yagura and Killer B, whose Tailed Beasts were currently being extracted by the Gedo Statue.
Meanwhile, on Kagami’s half of the cliff, only Kagami remained, along with Shisui and Itachi standing behind him.
Of course, Shisui had already spoken to the Third Hokage about remaining on the cliff. Knowing that Shisui’s Body Flicker Technique was the best in Konoha, and that he also had the protection of Susanoo, the Third agreed to his request.
Before long, large sections along the edges of the cliff began collapsing. The violent shaking had already begun affecting Kagami and Nagato as they continued their clash of ocular powers.
Knowing that the cliff was about to collapse completely, Kagami hurriedly shouted to Shisui and Itachi behind him,
"Look for an opportunity to rescue them!"
RUMBLE, RUMBLE, RUMBLE...
Before Kagami’s words had even faded, the cliff, already split into two halves, could no longer withstand the devastation caused by the two enormous repulsive forces. Amid a thunderous roar, it completely collapsed and shattered apart.
Having prepared himself in advance, Kagami entered Tenseigan Chakra Mode almost the instant the ground beneath his feet gave way. His figure transformed into a streak of blue light and shot into the sky.
Shisui and Itachi, meanwhile, activated their Susanoo at the same time. Protected within their Susanoo, they fell together with the collapsing cliff.
Across from them, Nagato did the same as Kagami, floating into the air the instant the cliff collapsed. He stared coldly at Kagami and said,
"You truly haven’t disappointed me!"
Their clash just now had not frightened Nagato in the slightest.
Instead, it had ignited his fighting spirit!
"Hmph!"
Kagami snorted softly and rapidly began condensing his Truth-Seeking Balls.
With the support of the Giant Tenseigan on the moon, he had absolutely no need to hold back this time. One Truth-Seeking Ball after another emerged from the center of his forehead.
In total, nine Truth-Seeking Ball floated around him!
As he stared at the nine black spheres surrounding Kagami, Nagato instinctively felt a sudden palpitation of unease.
During the previous battle in Amegakure, Nagato had already witnessed just how terrifying Yama’s black spheres were. After his Six Paths of Pain were destroyed by those black spheres, even the Naraka Path had been unable to repair them.
So although Nagato didn’t know exactly what those black spheres were, he knew that they had definitely surpassed the level of a Kekkei Genkai. They were very likely some kind of Kekkei Tota unknown to him.
At that moment, Kagami shifted his gaze toward the Gedo Statue on the ground.
The Gedo Statue was currently standing atop the ruins of the collapsed cliff. In each of its hands, it held Yagura and Killer B, and it was still extracting the Tailed Beasts from their bodies.
Kagami knew perfectly well that as long as even a single descendant of the Otsutsuki remained on the moon, once they discovered the abnormality with the Giant Tenseigan, they would immediately sever the resonance between the Giant Tenseigan and his own Tenseigan.
The instant that happened, he would be knocked straight back to his original state.
So he didn’t have much time!
His first priority had to be rescuing the two Jinchuriki from the Gedo Statue.
Only after rescuing them would the initiative return to his hands.
At that point, whether he chose to fight or retreat would be entirely up to him. And if the Otsutsuki descendants on the moon reacted a little slower and gave him just a bit more time, he could even attempt to kill Nagato and seize the Rinnegan!
With that thought, Kagami refused to waste even a single second of his ’invincibility period.’
Extravagantly, he gathered all nine Truth-Seeking Balls into the palm of his right hand. Then, looking calmly at Nagato across from him, he said,
"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
In an instant, a massive vortex storm erupted from Kagami’s palm and swept toward Nagato and the Gedo Statue...
