Kagami replied indifferently, "Tell me about your Mangekyo Sharingan’s ability."

"Hmph!"

Shinichi snorted coldly and fell silent.

Kagami didn’t seem to care. He casually asked, "If you die just like this, won’t you have any regrets?"

It seemed Kagami had struck a nerve.

Shinichi suddenly lost control of his emotions and roared, "If I’d known things would turn out like this, I should’ve gone on a rampage in the village! Even if I had to die, I should’ve died openly and honorably on the battlefield!"

Kagami curled his lips.

"You should already know that Root shinobi was being used by someone."

Shinichi snarled viciously, "But he killed Yui with his own hands! How could I possibly let him go?! Everyone involved in this—every last one of them has to die!"

Shinichi replied firmly, "I know who it is. He’s one of my targets too!"

Hearing this, Kagami froze for a moment.

He had assumed Shinichi didn’t know who the mastermind behind the incident was. Unexpectedly, not only did Shinichi know exactly who it was, he had even placed that person on his list of people who absolutely had to die.

Kagami chuckled softly.

"Now that’s interesting."

Shinichi glared at Kagami and shouted, "If you’re not going to kill me, then sooner or later, I’ll kill every last one of you! So quit wasting your breath and do it already! Dying by your hand wouldn’t be such a pathetic way to go!"

"Kill, kill, kill. Is killing all you know how to talk about?"

Kagami snorted, then deliberately said, "It was just one girl. What’s the big deal?"

"If you can give Yui back to me, I’ll give you anything!"

Kagami’s interest was piqued.
