Naruto World: Tenseigan
Chapter 110: A Fantastical Idea
Chapter 110: Chapter 110: A Fantastical Idea
Almost instantly, both Hyuga Kagami and Shisui sensed that something was wrong.
Given Uchiha Shinichi’s brash and straightforward personality, after suffering such a devastating blow, he might have become hysterical, or he might have been overwhelmed with grief—but there was absolutely no way he should be this calm and indifferent.
Shisui assumed that Shinichi had simply fallen into utter despair this time, and he couldn’t help feeling somewhat guilty and remorseful.
Kagami, however, fell into thought.
"Don’t tell me I actually guessed it right..."
At that moment, Shisui was about to say something else.
But Shinichi raised his hand and slowly waved him off.
"Someone has already told me the whole story. You two can leave. I want to be alone for a while."
Shisui turned toward Kagami, silently asking for his opinion.
Kagami thought for a moment before saying, "Let’s go."
After leaving the Police Force building, Kagami asked Shisui, "When are you going to let him out?"
Shisui replied, "The clan head only wanted him to calm down. He didn’t mean anything else by it. They might release him as early as tomorrow."
Kagami silently nodded and said nothing more.
Recalling the drastic change in Shinichi’s demeanor just now, Shisui asked in confusion, "Senpai, earlier you said you wanted to confirm his condition. What exactly did you mean by that?"
"Oh, I just said that casually. I was really only a little curious." After brushing Shisui off with a perfunctory answer, Kagami continued with a warning, "Be careful for the time being. Remember what I told you—if you encounter the mastermind behind all this, don’t hesitate. Use Kotoamatsukami immediately!"
After parting ways with Shisui, Kagami didn’t continue wandering around the streets and instead returned home at once.
Back in the detention room of the Police Force building, he had already faintly sensed a cold, sinister aura emanating from Shinichi.
Although he couldn’t be certain whether Shinichi had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, he needed to prepare a corresponding countermeasure ahead of time.
"If I were him, what would I do after awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan?"
As Kagami circulated his Tenseigan chakra to gradually wear away the natural energy lingering in his right hand, he tried putting himself in Shinichi’s position, considering how he might profit from the situation.
However, he quickly abandoned that train of thought.
The thought process of an Uchiha really wasn’t something an ordinary person could easily fathom—much less that of an Uchiha who might have only just awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Changing his approach, Kagami pondered,
"No matter how obsessive or extreme his thinking becomes, there’s one thing he definitely won’t give up on—revenge. So all I really need to figure out is who his first target for revenge will be!"
The next day.
Just as Shisui had predicted, after seeing that Shinichi had calmed down, Clan Head Fugaku soon released him from the detention room.
After regaining his freedom, Shinichi didn’t go around causing trouble. Instead, he returned directly home.
It wasn’t until late at night that he slipped out alone and headed toward the Naka Shrine.
Inside the Naka Shrine.
The two Uchiha chūnin assigned to the night watch were quietly chatting.
"By the way, do you think we’ll end up fighting Kumogakure again?"
"Hmph. If they want to fight, then we’ll fight. You think Konoha is afraid of Kumo?"
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps came from outside the shrine.
"Who could it be this late at night?"
Muttering to himself, one of the Uchiha chūnin slowly stood up and prepared to go take a look.
At that moment, the shrine doors suddenly opened.
Dressed entirely in black, Uchiha Shinichi walked in from outside.
"Shinichi!?"
The Uchiha chūnin froze for a moment before asking, "What are you doing at the shrine this late at night?"
Shinichi shifted his gaze toward him.
Thud...
With nothing more than a single meeting of their eyes, the Uchiha chūnin collapsed unconscious onto the floor with a dull thump.
"What are you doing?!"
Before the other Uchiha chūnin could even get to his feet, he too was caught in a genjutsu and collapsed unconscious nearby.
After taking down the two clansmen on night watch, Shinichi activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and carefully scanned the shrine. Eventually, beneath one of the stone tiles, he discovered the entrance to a hidden chamber.
Upon entering the chamber, a stone tablet appeared before him.
Shinichi stood there in a daze, deciphering the contents engraved upon the tablet.
A long while later, he murmured to himself,
"So this... is the truth?"
...
A few days later.
"Phew... finally got it!"
Kagami flexed his right hand as he let out a sigh of relief.
After several days of effort, he had finally managed to completely expel the remaining natural energy from his right hand, restoring his entire right arm from its petrified state back to normal.
With his right hand recovered, his combat strength had also returned to its peak.
However, after spending the past several days dealing with natural energy, he had come to deeply understand one thing—
Controlling natural energy was both extremely difficult and extremely dangerous.
At that thought, he couldn’t help sighing,
"No wonder there are so few people who manage to master Senjutsu!"
In the original timeline, even by the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War, the number of shinobi who had mastered Senjutsu could still be counted on one hand—and that even included Jiraiya, who needed the assistance of the two Great Toad Sages in order to enter Sage Mode.
Just think about it. Even a shinobi as extraordinarily talented as Orochimaru had been unable to master Senjutsu. From that alone, one could imagine just how difficult learning Senjutsu truly was.
Therefore, Kagami decided to set the matter of Senjutsu aside for the time being.
He had absolutely no leads in that area, and attempting it recklessly would simply be far too dangerous.
Besides, he now had a new idea—or rather, an entirely new line of thought.
His previous real-world combat test in the Land of Wind had exposed many problems, but at the same time, it had also allowed him to understand several characteristics of Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
Take the Truth-Seeking Balls, for example.
The Truth-Seeking Balls condensed while in Tenseigan Chakra Mode were clearly the result of taking a shortcut.
That was because even after entering Tenseigan Chakra Mode, Kagami himself still did not possess the combined properties of all seven chakra natures—Yang Release, Yin Release, Wind Release, Water Release, Fire Release, Lightning Release, and Earth Release.
As a result, whether it was condensing the Truth-Seeking Balls or simply maintaining them, both were extremely taxing for him.
And if he wanted to completely solve this problem, then he would have to tackle it at its very root.
Simply put—
He needed to make himself possess all seven chakra natures and then fuse them together, creating a Kekkei Mōra that transcended both Kekkei Genkai and Kekkei Tōta.
Under normal circumstances, something like that would be impossible.
Because in the current shinobi world, the only person who seemed to have accomplished such a feat was Kaguya ōtsutsuki, the so-called "Progenitor of Chakra."
However, on his journey back to the village, Kagami had come up with an idea that could only be described as utterly fantastical.
If that idea could actually be realized, then obtaining a Kekkei Mōra might not be completely impossible after all.
But to turn such a fantastical idea into reality, he would need to make an enormous number of preparations.
Many of the steps involved existed only in theory for now, and whether they could actually be achieved remained completely unknown...
