Chapter 305: Secret Technique Bullets!

Katasuke Tōno finished demonstrating the basic ninjutsu bullets based on the Five Nature Transformations one by one.

Aside from the Earth Release Bullet No. 1 and Water Release Bullet No. 1, whose effects were somewhat underwhelming, the Fire, Wind, and Lightning Release bullets were quite impressive.

Seeing that Uchiha Ren seemed to have some doubts, Katasuke hurriedly explained, "Lord Ren, don't be fooled by the mediocre performance of the Earth Release and Water Release bullets. Katasuke shook his head.

"Of course not. I also managed to rush out some special Kekkei Genkai-based bullets and Secret Technique bullets!"

"Akita!"

As he spoke, Katasuke took another bullet from Akita Inuzuka.

"This is the Ice Release Bullet No. 1, developed using the Ice Release bloodline of the Yuki clan shinobi from Kirigakure."

Orochimaru chimed in at the appropriate moment.

"Speaking of which, I have you to thank for this, Ren. If you hadn't provided those test subjects, I wouldn't have been able to study the power of the Ice Release bloodline."

With a bang, the Ice Release Bullet No. 1 shot out of the Ninjutsu Bullet Launcher.

It struck a wooden target in the distance and erupted with a wave of frigid air, freezing everything within roughly a three-meter radius.

Katasuke explained, "Because the properties of Ice Release conflict somewhat with conventional firearms, I deliberately reduced the amount of gunpowder in the Ice Release Bullet No. 1."

"Most of the explosive force is instead used to propel the Ice Release Bullet."

Uchiha Ren nodded.

The Ice Release Bullet No. 1 was indeed quite impressive.

"Next are the Explosion Release Bullet No. 1, Storm Release Bullet No. 1, Scorch Release Bullet No. 1, Lava Release Bullet No. 1, and Boil Release Bullet No. 1..."

Katasuke began demonstrating the various Kekkei Genkai-based ninjutsu bullets one after another.

Their effects were all quite impressive.

The most remarkable was the Boil Release Bullet No. 1, created using the Boil Release Kekkei Genkai of Kirigakure.

When it exploded, the corrosive mist it released spread across an area dozens of meters wide, severely corroding everything caught within it.

With that level of power and effect, it was practically a biological weapon.

"Next are the various Secret Technique bullets. However, because the capacity of the chakra capacitors is insufficient, these Secret Technique bullets are still only semi-finished products."

Katasuke took another bullet from Akita Inuzuka.

With a boom, a ninjutsu bullet shot into the air.

After exploding, it transformed into a tiny black sparrow about the size of a palm. The bird flapped its wings and began flying through the air.

Katasuke explained, "Super Beast Scroll is a Secret Technique that involves injecting chakra into specially prepared ink, drawing various objects with that ink, and then bringing those drawings to life to fight alongside the user."

"Its power mainly depends on the amount of chakra injected. This Black Sparrow is merely a demonstration of the technique itself. It has no offensive power and—"

As Katasuke spoke, the black sparrow suddenly transformed into a mass of ink and splattered onto the ground.

"There. That's exactly what I was about to mention."

Katasuke pointed at the puddle of ink.

"It can't maintain itself for long. The problem still comes down to the capacity of the chakra capacitor."

"I understand."

Uchiha Ren nodded.

"You don't need to demonstrate the remaining ninjutsu bullets. In short, the biggest problem right now is the insufficient capacity of the chakra capacitors, correct?"

Katasuke nodded.

"At present, yes."

"Then what about just the Fire Release Bullet No. 1, Wind Release Bullet No. 1, Lightning Release Bullet No. 1, and Boil Release Bullet No. 1—the more powerful ones?"

Uchiha Ren asked the question he cared about most.

"Can we mass-produce them right now?"

Katasuke's technology was indeed impressive.

But if it couldn't be mass-produced, the technology would ultimately be little more than a novelty.
