Impossibility(2)
“D-did you just resurrect her without dying?” Temari asked with a slight shocked stutter.
I nodded “I couldn’t do it before she showed me how. As for the not killing me part that was actually a flaw in the technique I fixed before I utilized the technique myself. For someone like Gaara with a damaged lifeforce it might take much more than most people can safely give to resurrect but for an undamaged but empty lifeforce like hers it takes little more than a small burst to kick it back to life.” I said casually.
Kakashi just sighed and shook his head “You never cease to amaze Kenzo, Once again doing something many consider impossible.” he said impressed but over it already.
“Impossible? You mean resurrection? It was never impossible, in fact you could resurrect even the first, second and third Hokages with the right steps.” I said with a scoff.
“Really? How” Naruto asked curiously.
“Well first you have to create a clone of the person who was going to be resurrected, then you need to find a bandit. Once you have the bandit you use the Edo Tensei to bring the soul of the person back to the world of the living. Once here you teach them the living corpse reincarnation jutsu that Orochimaru uses to possess bodies. Finally they use the jutsu to transfer their soul to the clone body that should be a perfect fit thus bringing them back to life permanently. Much as I hate that damn snake his creation was the last piece needed to create a true resurrection after the soul has passed to the pure lands.” I explained easily.
The jaws of everyone listening collectively dropped at this revelation. It was a dangerous piece of information sure but unless you could collect everything necessary to pull it off it was a pipe dream at best.-
Konoha was probably the only place able to pull it off at the moment if we could manage to get our hands on Orochimaru’s technique. We could also try to recreate it but that comes with serious amounts of forbidden level research and experimentation. Anyways we didn’t just sit here talking about this as we needed to get Gaara and Chiyo back to the village to rest and recuperate because to no surprise coming back from the dead is not easy on the body.-
Naturally I sent a report on what happened to my sensei who very shortly afterwards sent another message telling us to return to the village once we are certain the Akatsuki weren’t going to attack Suna again. Both Gaara and Chiyo woke up that same day and the latter of those two was NOT happy about it.
“Damn it boy i go to perform a noble sacrifice for the good of my village and you not only ruin it but even steal the technique i used!?” the old lady raged at me once she understood what happened.
“Would you have preferred to stay dead?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
“If I was I wouldn’t have to deal with the council complaining about someone from Konoha stealing one of our forbidden techniques.” she said bitterly.
“To be fair the technique isn’t all that impressive. Learning how to channel your lifeforce was decently interesting but otherwise it was not much different than a normal mystic palm technique.” I said with a shrug.
“Why did you bring me back anyways, I’m an old woman at the end of her life to begin with? All you did was give me maybe a few more years and that’s it.” She asked confused.
“Gaara still needs your help to run the village. He’s a good Kage but he’s inexperienced at leading others and you have the experience he lacks. Way I figure it you are better alive long enough to pass on your knowledge to him.” I said calmly.
“How naïve are you to try and help a rival village?” she asked mockingly.
“Rival? Says who? This entire village could come together at Konoha and still lose even if only a fraction of our forces came out to fight you, the second great war proved that. Perhaps you can try and argue if you want to because of your pride or whatever but the fact is you aren’t rivals to us, not anymore.” I said casually.
I didn’t mention that I alone was enough to level the entire village many times over but I didn’t have to to prove my point. Sunagakure may have originally been a rival to Konoha but by this point they had degenerated to such a state they were only greater than a lesser village but not quite on the same level as Kumo or Iwa.-
Their geographic location and lack of talented shinobi every generation meant that after each great war the damage didn’t have time to heal before they were further damaged. Suna’s state was better than Kiri’s but not by much as both were laughably weak at this point. If they weren’t the Akatsuki wouldn’t have been able to run roughshod over them so easily. Having only one active S rank shinobi kinda means once that shinobi is dealt with the village is nearly defenseless if the enemy is S rank. Sure they could use swarm tactics but lets be honest here that’s pathetic if it becomes necessary.-
Anyway once three days passed and we became certain that the Akatsuki weren’t coming back it was time for us to all head back to Konoha with the exception of Temari on account of her only coming originally as an ambassador. It was kinda nepotistic but nobody ever said the ninja villages operated off of fairness. The trip back across the desert and into the land of fire again was quick and easy so we only took a week since we weren’t in a rush. Even at an easy pace we still moved fast because no shinobi liked being caught in another villages land.-
The land of wind was no exception to this and if anything was even worse as it was a vast desert that Konoha had had issues with before during a prior war. At the time Konoha had gotten tired of dealing with Suna attacking us in the land of fire and thought to return the favor to disastrous effect. Suna had somehow managed to pull off guerilla warfare by using the vast sands to ambush the Konoha shinobi before vanishing.
