Naruto: The Ridiculously Talented Uzumaki
Chapter 502: Will You Find Me Annoying in the Future?
"Hey, hey, you’re not joking with me, are you? Isn’t Boruto your son? If he died, would you still be here?"
Young Naruto looked at Otohime’s "have you lost your mind?" expression, and his lips twitched.
He sighed and explained:
"First of all, Boruto is the son of this world’s Uzumaki Naruto, not my son."
"Secondly, he actually turned a crisis into a blessing and resolved the issue of the ’Karma’ in his body."
Young Naruto continued, "Kawaki’s stab went right through Boruto, which was absolutely fatal.
But Momoshiki had no choice. He was forced to use the power of the ’Karma’ with all his might to repair Boruto’s body."
He paused and looked at Otohime. "The excessive consumption and restoration made Momoshiki’s ’Karma’ incomplete, and its activity has been greatly reduced.
In other words, not only did Boruto survive, but he also turned misfortune into a blessing. There’s a high probability he won’t become a vessel for Momoshiki’s resurrection in the future."
"Oh..."
Hearing this, Otohime nodded in realization. The shock and confusion on her face gradually faded, replaced by an expression of understanding.
"No wonder you’re so calm..."
She tilted her head, and as if remembering something, her eyes lit up. "So that means that kid named Boruto is’safe’ for now? That guy Momoshiki can’t cause any trouble for the time being?"
"You could put it that way."
Young Naruto nodded.
"Great! Then let’s go out and play! We agreed yesterday! You promised to take me to eat delicious food and buy fun things!"
She had been thinking about this for hours.
Hidden Leaf Village’s delicacies, along with those novel and interesting toys and games, were incredibly appealing to an "ancient person" like her!
Seeing Otohime’s impatient look, the gloom in Young Naruto’s heart seemed to dissipate a little.
He nodded. "Alright. I’ll call Hinata and the others to join us. I don’t feel like making breakfast anyway, so we’ll eat out."
"Yay!"
Otohime jumped up happily, her hat and braids swaying with her. "Let’s go, let’s go! I want to eat that... that thing called Thunder Burger, and Tri-color Dango, and..."
She counted on her fingers, starting to list the things she wanted to eat.
Young Naruto shook his head helplessly, watching Otohime’s carefree attitude of only caring about eating, drinking, and having fun.
Was this girl really silly, or was she just playing dumb?
He decided not to think about it for now.
Perhaps relaxing once in a while and experiencing the "daily life" of this world wouldn’t be so bad.
He turned around to call young Hinata and young Hanabi from the next room.
After that, the four of them prepared to set off.
"Are we going out to play today?"
Hanabi opened her door and walked out. She had already prepared to go out when she heard Young Naruto calling young Hinata and young Hanabi earlier.
But she suddenly realized that not a single one of them had come to call her.
"Yeah, we won’t be back for lunch, so you’ll have to figure out your own lunch."
Hanabi puffed out her cheeks and put her hands on her hips. Tilting her head up slightly, she glared fiercely at Young Naruto with her pure Byakugan.
"Huh? Are you saying you don’t plan on taking me along?"
Hanabi’s voice rose, her tone filled with accusation: "How dare you leave me behind?"
"No way, no way!"
Hanabi shook her head repeatedly. "I don’t want to be left home alone. Besides, I’m very familiar with Hidden Leaf Village, so I can be your guide.
I’ll take you to the best restaurants and the most fun places!"
If her childhood sister and her childhood self were going out to play, she had to tag along too.
Young Naruto was taken aback by Hanabi’s sudden "assault." He instinctively took a step back and raised his hands in a "time-out" gesture between himself and Hanabi, trying to maintain a safe distance.
"Calm down, calm down."
Young Naruto explained, "If we take you, we’d definitely have to bring Himawari along too, right? Otherwise, we’d be leaving such a small child home alone?
If we add two more people, it’ll be a bit too crowded. Walking on the street like that would attract way too much attention, you know?"
"Huh?"
Hearing this, Hanabi rolled her eyes, the dissatisfaction on her face growing even stronger.
"So you’re saying that you—who look sixty to seventy percent like the Seventh Hokage—walking down the streets of Hidden Leaf Village with a little girl with white hair and golden eyes, and two little girls who clearly have Hyuga Bloodlines and Byakugan, wouldn’t attract attention?"
She paused, puffing out her chest.
"Besides, if I’m the one taking my childhood sister and my younger self out, it wouldn’t look out of place at all! There are so many people in the Hyuga Clan. It’s perfectly normal for me to take two kids from my own Family out for shopping and eating! Who would gossip?"
Hanabi felt her reasoning was solid and flawless.
Hearing this, Young Naruto’s lips couldn’t help but twitch again. Looking at Hanabi’s "I’m perfectly right" expression, he sighed and decided to "attack" from a different angle.
"You, a... boyfriend-less second Young Miss of the Hyuga Clan..."
Young Naruto deliberately slowed his pace. "...going out to play with a man, while also bringing along a little girl with the Byakugan who looks just like you..."
"Don’t you think that looks even more suspicious?"
Watching Hanabi’s eyes gradually widen and her cheeks flush slightly, he continued to twist the knife:
"If any rumors start spreading and Uncle Hiashi finds out, he will kill me."
Young Naruto finished with a throat-slitting gesture.
"So, for the sake of my life and your reputation, Miss Hanabi, you should stay home, or go out to play with Himawari on your own."
Hanabi: "..."
Her face turned red at a speed visible to the naked eye, purely out of anger.
"W-What nonsense are you talking about!
Who-who would spread that kind of gossip! And, and..."
Both embarrassed and annoyed, Hanabi retorted, "And what’s wrong with me taking my ’childhood self’ out? We’re both from the Hyuga Clan, so what if we look a little alike?"
Although she was still arguing, Hanabi’s Aura had clearly weakened.
She clearly realized that what Young Naruto said... wasn’t entirely unreasonable. She had experienced firsthand how fast gossip spread in Hidden Leaf Village. If her father really heard any rumors... just thinking about that scene made her scalp tingle!
Seeing Hanabi looking defeated but too embarrassed to admit it, Young Naruto laughed inwardly, though his face remained serious.
"Anyway, for everyone’s sake, don’t go this time. Next time, I promise I’ll take you out to play, just the two of us, alright?"
Young Naruto gave a blank promise. In any case, he was leaving soon. At worst, he could just have the Seventh Hokage fulfill the promise for him!
The Seventh Hokage, who was having breakfast with Jiraiya, Tsunade, Hinata, and Boruto: "Achoo!"
Hanabi puffed out her cheeks, glaring angrily at Young Naruto, but there was nothing she could do.
In the end, she could only stamp her foot. "Fine, I won’t go!"
Then, with a loud "bang," she slammed her door shut to express her dissatisfaction.
Young Naruto breathed a sigh of relief, then turned around and gave a warm smile to young Hinata and young Hanabi standing behind him.
"Let’s go. I’ll take you to eat some delicious food."
Young Hanabi stared at Young Naruto with half-closed eyes.
"Big Brother Naruto, will you find me annoying in the future?"
