The air in the Valley of Elephants was unlike anything Sunae had ever experienced. It possessed neither the harsh, dry heat of Sunagakure's desert nor the heavy moisture of the Land of Fire's forests.

It was a free, intoxicating breeze—the kind that makes you never want to return to where you came from, as if the oxygen itself were far purer than anything she had ever breathed in Suna.

Sunae snapped her eyes open, blinking rapidly to shake off the slight dizziness left by the reverse summon.

When the white smoke completely cleared, the young kunoichi found herself standing on a high rock formation jutting out over a dizzying abyss.

Before her unfolded a monumental landscape: giant mountains silhouetted against a mystical violet sky, lush vegetation of gargantuan proportions, and massive waterfalls of crystal-clear water cascading from invisible peaks, enveloping the area in a perpetual mist illuminated by golden sparks.

The beauty of the place was so overwhelming that Sunae stood frozen for a few seconds, spellbound. However, she had no time to keep admiring the scenery. Her training as a Sand ninja and a survival instinct honed by discipline sent a rush of adrenaline straight to her heart.

Danger!

Without a second thought, Sunae performed an acrobatic backflip, propelling herself with chakra in the soles of her feet in the exact millisecond an imposing spear of sharp stone erupted out of nowhere, impaling the rock precisely where she had been standing an instant before. The strike was so fast and precise that the impact echoed a dull crack through the air.

Landing on her feet several meters away, Sunae immediately dropped into a combat stance, her fists raised as a layer of Shakuton began to form around them while her eyes scanned every corner of the surrounding terrain.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" she demanded in a firm voice, refusing to let the tremor of surprise slip into her words.

From the shadows of a massive stone ceremonial structure, a gigantic figure stepped forward with a slow, deliberate stride. The ground trembled gently under the creature's weight as it made a striking leap, landing heavily just a few meters in front of Sunae. The gust of wind kicked up by its landing blew the young girl's reddish hair back.

It was a young elephant, yet of an impressive size, clad in light armor made of polished bronze plates protecting its back and forehead. Its tusks, finely carved with ancient symbols, gleamed under the violet light of the sky. The elephant fixed its intelligent golden eyes on Sunae, looking her up and down with a mix of curiosity and clear approval.

"Well, well..." spoke the elephant with a voice Sunae didn't expect, filled with a youthful dynamism that resonated in the kunoichi's chest. "Your reflexes are excellent, girl. Even if your hair color and that indomitable energy are a clear reflection of your mother, the way you instinctively reacted to danger is exactly like Daigo-san's."

Sunae blinked, surprised not only by the fact that the creature spoke so fluently, but by the casual familiarity with which it mentioned her parents. She lowered her fists slightly, extinguishing the Shakuton while keeping her guard up and relaxing her muscles.

"You know my parents?" Sunae asked, straightening up. "I am Sunae... daughter of Daigo."

"Of course I know them," replied the elephant, tilting its head slightly in a respectful greeting. "My name is Zoyu. I've been waiting for your arrival. From this moment on, my duty is to be your guide, your comrade-in-arms, and the one tasked with testing your limits in our sacred territory... just as I did with your father when he first set foot in this valley as a brat just like me, haha."

A spark of pure enthusiasm lit up in Sunae's eyes. Knowing that she was following the exact same steps Daigo had taken in his youth dispelled any remaining doubt or fear within her.

"If you're here to teach me how to get stronger, Zoyu... then let's not waste time," Sunae declared with a resolute smile, stowing her kunai in its holster. "I'm ready for whatever comes."

Zoyu let out a jovial trumpet that echoed through the canyon.

"I like your attitude, Sunae. But be careful what you wish for... the training in the Valley of Elephants spares no weaklings."

On the far side of the vast sacred realm, the atmosphere was radically different. Daiku appeared in the middle of a dense grove where ancient trees with golden leaves filtered the sunlight.

The young swordsman remained motionless for a moment, partially unsheathing his sword out of pure defensive instinct while evaluating the area.

Perceiving no immediate threat, he clicked the blade back into its scabbard with a metallic snap and began walking at a slow pace, trying to orient himself in this unfamiliar place.

The sound of bubbling water and thick steam drifting through the trees guided him after several minutes of walking toward a stunning clearing. Before him lay a network of natural hot springs whose mineral streams emanated a comforting warmth that contrasted with the valley's cool breeze.

In the middle of the largest pool, submerged up to its waist in the rising steam, rested a majestic elephant radiating an overwhelming presence.

Its skin was an extremely dark ash-gray, almost pitch-black, and was covered in ancient seal patterns that looked carved or scarred directly into its hide. It wore an elegant forest-green silk haori with intricately embroidered gold borders, and across its broad back, it carried a giant scroll made of dark wood with iron clasps.

The elephant slowly opened its eyes upon sensing the young man's presence. Its gaze, a metallic shade of gray, held the unyielding serenity of a mountain.

"You have arrived, son of Daigo," the elephant pronounced in a deep, measured voice that seemed to vibrate through the water of the spring.

Daiku stopped at the edge of the pool, adjusting the sword at his hip while intently observing the creature's imposing form.

"My name is Iron," continued the elephant, slowly emerging from the hot spring. Every move it made revealed immense brute strength contained under strict discipline. "I am one of your father's masters and tutors. I have accepted the task of shaping your temperament and sharpening your sword technique."

Daiku felt his blood boil in his veins—not out of anger, but out of a visceral urge to overcome the frustration he carried from his defeat in the tournament. He stepped forward, locking his gaze firmly with Iron's.

"Master Iron... I didn't come here to sightsee or look for shortcuts," Daiku declared with sharp honesty. "I know I lack the strength, speed, and control to stand among the best. Throw whatever you want at me. I won't give up, no matter how tough the training gets."

Iron observed the spark of determination on the boy's face. A subtle trace of approval crossed the wise elephant's eyes.

"Good. That determination will be your greatest ally, Daiku... because I am going to push you to the absolute limit of your strength."

In a region completely isolated from the hot springs and rocky terrain, Kimimaro experienced a vastly different arrival. Unlike his two siblings, he did not appear in an open natural landscape.

As the teleportation smoke cleared, the young man found himself standing on a massive white marble platform suspended high in the sky.

Before him stood a massive structure: a grand stone staircase carved by hand that seemed to climb infinitely into the clouds, disappearing at the summit of a sacred mountain.

The sheer majesty of the place, flanked by ceremonial arches and ancient statues at every landing, was enough to overwhelm anyone. However, Kimimaro's attention was immediately drawn to a presence he couldn't see, but could distinctly feel.

"Welcome, Kimimaro."

The voice was female, serene, yet filled with an absolute authority that raised goosebumps on the skin. It resonated directly within the young man's mind and in the surrounding air, as if the mountain itself were speaking to him.

Kimimaro didn't flinch. He maintained his upright posture, hands resting relaxed at his sides, his eyes fixed on the first flight of stairs.

"Your siblings have already begun their trials," the female voice continued smoothly. "Your father spoke to us of your exceptional talent, your strength, and the purity of your bloodline. However, words mean nothing in this temple. Your first trial is to climb every single one of the ten thousand steps of this staircase to the summit... without using a single drop of chakra to reinforce your body."

The trial was inhuman. Ascending such a distance through sheer physical effort alone, under the atmospheric pressure of the high altitude and the unique gravity of the region, demanded an overwhelming feat of willpower.

Kimimaro did not hesitate for a single second. He asked no questions and made no excuses.

"Understood," he answered in his usual polite and composed tone.

He took his first step, placing his foot on the marble without activating his chakra, and began the long ascent toward the clouds at a steady, unyielding pace.

While his three children began their respective training in the sacred realm of the Valley of Elephants, life in Sunagakure went on under the meticulous reconstruction orchestrated by the Kazekage's administration.

Daigo walked calmly through the open-air hallways of the village's advanced training facilities. The setting sun painted the sky in shades of orange and violet, casting long shadows across the stone structures.

After leaving his shadow clones in charge of all administrative duties, the Kazekage had decided to spend the final part of the day personally supervising the progress and status of the young shinobi who represented the future military strength of the Sand.

He paused upon reaching the perimeter of Training Ground Number Seven. The scene unfolding before his eyes was striking: the ground, originally coarse dirt, had been completely transformed into a vast surface of shimmering crystal mixed with fine golden sand. Prism-like reflections danced in the air under the twilight light.

In the middle of this crystal arena, lying flat on his back on the smooth surface and staring straight up into the clear sky, was Gaara. The young boy was wearing his usual training attire, his hair messy, breathing heavily—clearly exhausted after hours of non-stop practice.

Daigo walked with silent steps across the crystal surface, stopping just a couple of meters from his student.

"I see you've been busy, Gaara," Daigo said with a soft smile, breaking the silence of the field.

Gaara didn't jump. Hearing his sensei's familiar voice, he blinked slowly and gradually sat up, brushing off a bit of crystal dust from his sleeves.

He looked at Daigo with his usual calm smile, though his eyes reflected deep respect.

"Sensei..." Gaara greeted softly. "No, I wasn't busy. Just taking a short rest."

"Did you need something from me?" the redhead asked, tilting his head slightly.

Daigo crossed his arms, adjusting his robe over his shoulder while examining the crystal pattern covering the ground.

"I came to talk to you about your short-term and long-term training plans," Daigo explained in a paternal yet professional tone. "I know full well that the defeat you suffered against Kimimaro in the final rounds of the tournament hit you hard. I know you've been looking for ways to break past your limits and overhaul your fighting style."

Gaara listened to his master's words and remained silent for a moment. He lowered his gaze to his hands, slowly closing his fist to feel the grain of crystal sand that instinctively responded to his will.

"Kimimaro is extraordinarily strong, Sensei," Gaara admitted with mature honesty. "Even with all the power of my sand and crystal, his speed and the density of his bones managed to break my Absolute Defense. He is still the strongest among all the genin of our generation... and I don't want to be left behind. I want to surpass him."

Daigo nodded in approval at his student's attitude. There was no resentment or envy in Gaara's words—only the genuine drive to self-improve that defines a true shinobi.

"And what's your plan to achieve that, Gaara?" Daigo asked. "How do you intend to close that gap?"

Gaara stood up calmly, looking out over the vast expanse of crystal surrounding him.

"You patiently trained me in hand-to-hand combat and Taijutsu so I wouldn't rely solely on my sand and crystal defenses," the young redhead began to explain. "I'm immensely grateful for that training because it saved my life more than once. However... I've realized that my true nature and greatest strength don't lie in close-range physical brawls. I don't feel comfortable fighting hand-to-hand against specialists like Kimimaro or Daiku."

Daigo listened closely, pleased to see Gaara developing sharp tactical self-awareness.

"My goal now," Gaara continued, raising his right hand to make several crystal stalagmites erupt from the ground at breathtaking speed, "is to take my control over crystal sand to a whole new level. I don't want to limit myself to creating basic shields, projectiles, or waves. I want to be an absolute mid-to-long-range combatant, capable of fully controlling the battlefield by altering the composition of the terrain wherever I am, whether it's stone, dirt, or vegetation."

The Kazekage observed the demonstration of control. Gaara's crystal sand was not only much harder than regular sand, but it also refracted chakra in a way that made it extremely difficult for sensor ninjas to read.

"I thought you might be a bit lost on which path to take after the invasion," Daigo admitted with a warm smile. "But it fills me with immense pride to see that you have such a clear, mature vision of your own growth. You're ready to step up to the next level of your nature transformation training."

Daigo stepped forward and gave Gaara an affectionate pat on the shoulder.

"We'll work on terrain mastery together. If you need advanced manipulation scrolls or advice on refining the density of the crystal, you know exactly where to find me. Don't hesitate to come to me anytime."

A flash of warm gratitude shone in Gaara's eyes as he gave a respectful bow.

"Thank you, Daigo-sensei."

Without wasting another moment, Daigo dissolved into a soft breeze of wind and sand leaves, departing from the training ground to continue his rounds.

Throughout the rest of the afternoon and into the evening, the Kazekage visited each of the village's young talents. He headed first to the medical and tactical analysis center to check on Karin's progress, watching with satisfaction as the young Uzumaki made rapid strides in mastering her medical chakra and her clan's sealing chains.

Next, he met with Haku in his clan's area, assessing the precision of his techniques and the versatility of his Ice Release.

Finally, Daigo stopped by the general hospital's rehabilitation ward to personally check on Temari and Kankuro's health. Seeing the siblings' steady recovery and the renewed drive they showed after receiving messages from the family, the Kazekage knew that despite the scars left by the invasion, the seeds of strength had taken deep root in Sunagakure's next generation.
