Chapter 363: Chapter 363: How to Survive a Home Invasion

Standing in front of us was the legendary Sannin herself, the ultimate medical-nin and the bane of the Hidden Sand, Tsunade Senju. Deep annoyance was clearly written across her face as she looked down at us.

"Why are a bunch of brats living here?" She asked, her tone carrying a dangerous edge. "Due to the protective barrier, I thought this was where Takemura lived now."

I was completely unable to speak. My eyes were glued to her forehead, fixated on the diamond-shaped seal resting perfectly between her brows. As I flooded chakra to my eyes, my mind began racing at the speed of light, aggressively examining the seal.

An incredible amount of chakra is stored in it, I thought frantically. It is folded to sheer perfection to not occupy much physical space, yet it is primed and ready to be unleashed without degrading the quality of the stored chakra. Folding chakra like that... what a genius idea. How was that even accomplished? And her cells, so energetic and in an excited state... are they primed to divide? Is that to assist with her medical ninjutsu? That is brilliant. Not to mention the passive added strength it provides to her body, which my lightning chakra circulation actually mimics.

My eyes began to dive deeper, recklessly trying to fully understand the seal’s complex formation and unravel its deepest layers.

"For a young brat, you sure have good chakra control to be able to do that at your age," Tsunade suddenly said, snapping me out of my trance. Her voice hovered dangerously on the edge of exploding. She took a step closer, her eyes flaring with raw intimidation as she almost collided with the invisible barrier still blocking the threshold. "However, you should know how incredibly rude it is to examine another shinobi’s body using chakra without permission."

I gulped loudly, breaking out in a cold sweat. I retreated slowly, taking measured, careful steps backward as if I had just stumbled into a territorial bear. I raised a trembling hand sign, hastily dropping the barrier.

Tsunade stepped through the doorway, her eyes narrowing suspiciously as she looked around the hallway. "Are you the one who erected this barrier, or do you just have the key?"

I was still completely flabbergasted at casually meeting someone so monumentally important from my memories, so I looked over at Genta, desperately hoping he would jump in and provide an escape from the interrogation.

However, Genta’s eyes were glued firmly to the woman’s chest. "How can they be so bi..."

Before the word could even leave his mouth, a fist collided with his face. To my horrified eyes, it seemed to happen in slow motion. The sheer kinetic force rippled across his cheek, and he was instantly launched backward, flying entirely through the living room and crashing violently into the backyard.

A fresh bead of sweat appeared on my forehead. I bit my tongue, trying my absolute best not to say a single word.

Unfortunately, Naruto chose exactly the wrong time to be brave.

"You demon woman!" He shouted, jumping backward into a clumsy fighting stance. "How could you attack big brother Genta?! I will punish you for that!"

Before I could even attempt to grab his collar, Naruto charged at her, closing his eyes tight and screaming a chaotic battle cry. Tsunade didn’t even throw a punch this time. She simply flicked two fingers against his forehead as he closed the distance, and the poor kid was sent flying backward like a skipped stone, crashing directly into Genta, who was just trying to stand up with groans of heavy pain.

They both hit the grass in a tangled heap, gasping for breath.

Tsunade slowly turned her gaze back to me, her narrowed eyes promising absolute violence. "Do you also have anything funny or clever to say like those two idiots?"

I immediately buckled my lips inward, clamping my mouth shut tight while shaking my head frantically side to side like a frightened chicken.

She nodded sharply. "Good."

"Now, where is Takemura?" She demanded, crossing her arms. "I have to teach him a lesson about raising up brats like you all."

I shot a frantic glance toward the backyard, asking Genta with a frantic tone, "Where is your father?"

Genta replied amidst a string of muffled whimpers. "He went out... to buy some items... for the compound elders."

I hung my head, fighting back a heavy sigh. I did not want this monster staying in my house for a second longer than necessary. That would only exponentially increase the chances of us getting beaten up further. However, kicking a Sannin out was not exactly an option.

I simply moved aside, bowing slightly. "Please come in. I will host you until he comes back."

Tsunade looked around the quiet compound and clicked her tongue, evidently not wanting to wait alone in an empty house till Takemura was back. She stepped fully into the house and walked directly toward the living room table, sitting down heavily.

I formed a quick hand sign. A shadow clone appeared beside me, casting highly fearful glances at the Sannin. She watched with sharp attention as it hurried toward the kitchen to prepare some food and drinks.

"Your chakra reserves aren’t bad, kid. Whose son are you?" She asked. "I don’t remember anyone besides Takemura being young enough to have kids while I was still here."

I activated my etched storage hand seal. A small plate of salted onigiri appeared in a puff of smoke. I placed it politely on the table in front of her. "Please..." I paused, forcing myself to stay completely silent for a moment. As far as she knew, I had absolutely no idea who she was, so I could not use her name yet.

"You can call me Lady Tsunade," she said, waving a hand dismissively. "Also, are you the one who did that seal?" Her full, intense attention snapped onto me as she observed the mark, and I suddenly felt incredibly small under her gaze.

"Yes, Lady Tsunade," I answered without hesitation. "I was taught fuinjutsu by Master Shuzo."

A deeply nostalgic emotion passed over her face, softening her harsh features just a fraction. "Oh, yeah? How is that old bat doing?"

My expression naturally dropped. "He died less than a year ago."

A genuine, apologetic softness appeared in her eyes, replacing the annoyance. It was the absolute most normal her face had looked since she blew through the front door. "My condolences."

I nodded quietly. Just then, my shadow clone brought out a tray carrying the Hokage tea blend I kept in the kitchen, along with high-quality ceramic cups. The clone placed them down incredibly carefully, pouring the tea and setting a small jar of honey on the side.

Tsunade took a slow sip, raising an eyebrow in approval. "Not bad. Now, whose son are you? And how old are you, exactly?" She narrowed her eyes, actively studying my face.

I scratched the back of my head nervously. "I am actually an orphan. I was offered a home in the Senju compound by Takemura-ojisan, and I could not refuse his generosity, so I accepted. Plus, Genta here is one of my best friends."

Genta, who had just limped into the room to sit next to me and safely out of Tsunade’s arm reach, immediately objected. "What do you mean by ’one of’? I am your absolute best friend."

Ignoring his outburst, I pointed toward the six-year-old actively using Genta and me as a physical shield. "And this is Naruto Uzumaki. He was placed under the Senju clan’s care by the Hokage."

Tsunade’s eyes widened as the heavy implication behind the name settled in. Completely ignoring her previous remark about manners, she coated her gaze with chakra and scrutinized the young boy closely. Her pupils dilated further by the second as the reality of what was hidden inside him became abundantly clear.

She then looked over at me, and her mouth slowly opened in shock.

Her unparalleled medical jutsu expertise, combined with the incredible fuinjutsu techniques she was taught directly by the Uzumaki clan, gave her immense insight. As she observed my body, she saw the complex seal formation deeply intertwined between my physical flesh and my entire chakra network.

She stared in silence for a long moment before she finally spoke, her voice laced with a horrified, morbid intrigue. "What have you done to yourself?"
