Naruto: Lost to Hinata on Purpose, and Now Everything's a Mess

Chapter 307 : The Beam Of Light That Can Destroy Konoha

Yamato stood beside Naruto, looking helpless.

He had tried to stop Naruto, but the boy was simply too fast.

Right now, the only person in Konoha who could match Naruto’s speed was Riku.

That was because Naruto had already begun to master the Nine-Tails’ chakra.

It wouldn’t be long before he could fully synchronize with Kurama.

Once that happened, he’d be able to enter the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.

Even now, Naruto had inherited a portion of Kurama’s speed—approaching that of the Fourth Raikage.

So at this point, only Riku could completely suppress Naruto in terms of raw speed.

Tsunade looked at Naruto, hesitant.

She didn’t want him to leave the village right now.

Her main concern was that if Naruto went out, he might cross paths with members of the Akatsuki.

But before she could say anything, Riku—who had been seated calmly to the side—looked at Naruto and said, "Let him go."

Tsunade was briefly stunned. She turned to Riku, then thought for a moment before nodding.

"Fine. I agree too. But this time, Yamato is going with you."

Yamato opened his mouth to object. He still believed it was too dangerous for Naruto to leave the village.

But Riku looked at him and said, "Yamato-sensei, let Naruto go. Right now, unless the Akatsuki come at him all at once, it’s unlikely any of them could beat him."

Even in his Eight-Tails state, Naruto already had the power to defeat Pain.

Given his current strength, no ordinary member of the Akatsuki could match him.

What’s more, with the intense training he’d undergone recently, Naruto’s abilities had advanced far beyond that of a typical Jōnin. At this point, he was easily on par with a Kage.

And most importantly—he knew the intel on nearly every member of the Akatsuki.

Not to mention, Yamato would be with him. Though Yamato might not be among the strongest, he was still an elite Jōnin from the ANBU.

With him watching over Naruto, as long as the boy didn’t do something reckless, things should be fine.

Yamato looked between Riku and Tsunade, then sighed in defeat.

"Alright."

Naruto grinned. "Don’t worry, Granny Tsunade. Riku, I’ll make sure to take out every last one of those bastards who attacked Konoha!"

After Naruto and Yamato left, Riku leaned back and sighed. "So many things happening all at once..."

Tsunade gave a wry smile. "That’s just how it is. Things like this happen every so often. A lot of people have tried to target Konoha over the years—it’s nothing new. It’s just rare for them to come one after another like this."

In truth, it wasn’t just Konoha.

Every one of the Five Great Nations’ hidden villages faced constant threats.

As the most powerful strongholds in the shinobi world, they were naturally prime targets. Whether for revenge, ambition, or reputation, launching an attack on any of them was guaranteed to leave an impression.

The recent Sky Ninja attack on Konoha had indeed caused major casualties.

In fact, among all the assaults the village had endured, this incident ranked just below Orochimaru’s Konoha Crush and the Nine-Tails’ rampage in terms of overall damage.

But with Riku in the village, Tsunade wasn’t overly worried.

Meanwhile, Kakashi had taken a dozen Chūnin and made his way to the coast of the Land of Fire.

After several days of reconnaissance, they finally located the Sky Ninja’s mothership.

At the same time, Naruto discovered the ruins of the Sky Ninja’s old stronghold.

In those few days, Riku had kept to his usual routine—attending missions, filing reports, going through the motions.

Now and then, he would share a quiet drink with Tsunade.

There hadn’t been anyone strong enough to challenge him lately.

But what Riku didn’t know was that this time, Naruto had failed to stop Shennong from initiating his attack on Konoha.

In the Hokage’s office, Riku suddenly felt something approaching—fast.

In the blink of an eye, he had already transported himself to the skies above Konoha, with Tsunade at his side.

Thanks to the Rinnegan, Riku could levitate effortlessly.

Off in the distance, a beam of light was rapidly closing in.
