Naruto: Lost to Hinata on Purpose, and Now Everything's a Mess
Chapter 304 : Lightning All Over The Sky, Far Surpassing Human Skills
At that moment, Tsunade stood by the window as well.
Looking out into the distance, countless black specks filled the sky—moving rapidly toward Konoha.
All across the village, shinobi stared upward, unnerved by the unfamiliar aerial threat.
Their usual weapons—kunai, shuriken, arrows—were nearly useless against enemies flying at that altitude.
Tsunade’s voice was calm but heavy with tension. "Is that... the Sky Ninja?"
Riku nodded slightly. "It looks like it. But weren’t they destroyed long ago?"
Tsunade frowned deeply, unease growing in her eyes.
Riku continued, "If we don’t stop them now, they could become a serious threat to the village."
Even as he spoke, Konoha’s anti-air weapons launched into action—but they struggled to hit the fast-moving aircraft.
Boom—
The Sky Ninja flew over Konoha and began dropping explosive barrels packed with explosive tags.
Within moments, massive explosions rocked the village.
Flames erupted across rooftops.
Buildings crumbled.
Entire streets were engulfed in fire and smoke.
The sudden aerial attack caused massive destruction—and heavy casualties.
Tsunade clenched her fists, watching the stream of arrows and projectiles fired upward, none of which could reach the enemy crafts.
It was infuriating.
Konoha had never accounted for a threat from the skies.
After all, sky-based warfare had disappeared from the shinobi world. The Sky Ninja—Kūronin—were believed to have been annihilated during the last Great Ninja War.
As such, very few shinobi in the world were trained in aerial combat, and even fewer had the tools to fight enemies in flight.
Riku’s eyes narrowed, his brows furrowed.
"They’ve gone too far," he muttered coldly.
Then, he raised his hand slightly.
The skies above Konoha suddenly darkened.
Thunderclouds gathered with unnatural speed, swirling into a massive vortex.
Crackling arcs of lightning danced violently inside the clouds.
The sky rumbled with ominous power.
The Sky Ninja, busy bombarding Konoha from above, suddenly felt an overwhelming chill run down their spines.
Something was coming.
They looked up.
And their eyes widened in horror.
"The hell is that?!"
Their voices trembled.
Dozens of Sky Ninja, once gleefully raining destruction upon the village, now stared in stunned terror at the churning black clouds above them.
Bright flashes of light flickered in the storm.
Then—suddenly—
CRACK—KABOOM!
Hundreds of massive lightning bolts tore from the clouds, raining down with blinding force.
It was like the end of the world.
The sky above Konoha turned into a field of thunder.
Bolts of lightning fell in waves, striking with surgical precision.
Each streak of light hit a Sky Ninja or their flying contraptions directly—burning them to ash before they could even scream.
The heavens themselves roared.
The earth trembled under the might of the assault.
And in less than a minute—it was over.
The lightning receded.
The storm clouds slowly dispersed.
And in the skies above Konoha... there was nothing.
No flying enemies. No machines. No wreckage.
Only faint trails of ash, drifting down like snow.
Hundreds of Sky Ninja and their flying vehicles had been utterly erased from existence.
An eerie silence followed.
Konoha’s shinobi—whether Jōnin, Chūnin, or Genin—stood rooted to the ground, eyes wide, unable to speak.
They had just witnessed a catastrophe turn into a miracle.
The most terrifying and awe-inspiring technique they had ever seen... unleashed by one man.
Their eyes slowly turned toward the Hokage’s office.
Toward Riku.
No—toward the most powerful shinobi in the entire world.
With a single technique, Riku had obliterated an entire invading force.
Hundreds of airborne enemies, destroyed as easily as swatting flies.
The sheer scale of the jutsu—and the precision with which he had executed it—was beyond belief.
It was power that defied understanding.
And yet, in the Hokage’s office, Riku remained perfectly composed.
He hadn’t even broken a sweat.
Tsunade, standing beside him, didn’t look surprised.
She knew his strength far surpassed what most people could imagine.
What impressed her now wasn’t the destruction—it was the control.
He had precisely guided hundreds of bolts of lightning to strike fast-moving, high-altitude targets without harming anyone in the village.
That level of chakra manipulation bordered on divine.
Yet Riku only looked mildly annoyed.
"It seems someone’s targeting Konoha," he said quietly. "These Sky Ninja must have a base somewhere. We need to send someone to find and destroy it."
He glanced out at the smoking skyline of the village.
"If we don’t deal with the source, they’ll just keep attacking every few days. And that’s going to get really annoying."
He sighed.
"This time they’ve already caused a lot of damage. We’ll need to reinforce the village’s air defenses going forward."
Tsunade nodded gravely.
