If Yoruichi wanted to get stronger, her best bet was to ask Shin for help. With his assistance, her strength would improve much faster.

Shin had been planning to relax, but Yoruichi grabbed him and wouldn’t let go, insisting he help her train.

“Sigh, all my leisure time is being wasted because of you.”

Shin sighed, his expression slightly annoyed.

“Hmph, if you keep slacking off like this, you’ll be completely useless,” Yoruichi snorted.

“Oh really? Coming from you, that’s rich. Weren’t you just like me not too long ago?”

Shin shot her an exasperated look.

The old Yoruichi was no different from him, just as lazy. Now that she was putting in a little effort, she had the nerve to lecture him.

“Actually, I think the reason I was so unmotivated before was entirely because of you.” Yoruichi pinned the blame squarely on Shin.

Shin, finding himself suddenly shouldering the blame, was stunned for a moment, then looked at Yoruichi with displeasure.

“Wow, Yoruichi. Shifting the blame onto me, are we? When it comes to that, I’d say you take the cake.”

Shin gave her a thumbs-up.

“It’s the truth. Weren’t you the one who taught me in the first place? My laziness is definitely partly your fault. Are you going to deny it?”

Yoruichi tilted her head up at Shin. He decided not to argue with her. There was no point; trying to reason with Yoruichi was a lost cause.

“I’ve already taught you everything I can. The rest is up to you. You don’t need me here to guide you.”

Shin said to Yoruichi.

Honestly, he had taught her everything he could. The rest was up to her.

“No, don’t even think about running. I know you want to leave,” Yoruichi said, grabbing Shin’s arm, much to his frustration.

“Then what do you want? You’re not going to let me go, are you?”

Shin’s expression was one of pure helplessness. Honestly, there was no point in him teaching Yoruichi now. It was all up to her. As long as she put in the effort, her strength would improve rapidly. It had nothing to do with his guidance anymore.

“That’s right. I’m not letting you go.”

Yoruichi nodded. Of course she wasn’t going to let him go. She felt that with Shin around, her strength would improve faster.

Of course, that was just an illusion.

“You don’t have anything else to do. What’s wrong with staying here and training with me? Or do you have something else to do?”

Yoruichi questioned Shin, her eyes fixed on him.

“Yes, I actually do have something else to do. So, I’m leaving.” With that, Shin turned and walked away.

Just as Yoruichi was about to grab him, Shin’s figure had already vanished. If Shin wanted to leave, there was no way Yoruichi could stop him.

“He sure left in a hurry. Damn it,” Yoruichi muttered, annoyed. Shin was gone in the blink of an eye.

She had no idea where he had gone. She could only guess. So, putting her training on hold, she went to the 4th Division to look for him.

But going to the 4th Division was a dead end. Shin had already guessed she would go there looking for him, so he had gone somewhere else entirely—the World of the Living.

He hadn’t planned on going, but to avoid Yoruichi, he had ended up there, appearing directly in Karakura Town.

It was a hotspot for spiritual activity, and the main stage for the story, so of course he came here. Everywhere else was just boring.

“Those Visored are hiding pretty well. I haven’t found them yet.”

Shin said after arriving in Karakura Town.

He hadn’t searched that carefully, though. If he really put his mind to it, he could definitely find where the Visored were hiding.

But what for? He hadn’t come to the World of the Living to find them.

“There have been a lot of Hollows in the World of the Living lately.”

Shin’s gaze fell on a wandering Hollow. He didn’t bother to attack it.

There was no need to deal with a few giant Hollows. Just releasing his spiritual pressure would be enough to crush them.

He found a place to rest. Others who came to the World of the Living needed a Gigai.

But Shin didn’t need one at all. He was human, after all. People only thought he was a Soul Reaper because he used his spiritual pressure to hide his true nature. Even Old Man Yamamoto couldn’t see through it.

————————

Shin had run off to the World of the Living, and in the Soul Society, Yoruichi was fuming.

“Shin really isn’t in your 4th Division?” Yoruichi asked Retsu Unohana.

“I have no reason to lie to you. Or would you like to search my squad?” Unohana looked at Yoruichi, the two of them on the verge of a tense standoff.

“Fine, I believe you.” In the end, Yoruichi didn’t argue with Unohana. There was no benefit in it.

After that, Yoruichi turned and left, pondering where Shin could have gone.

She believed Unohana—there was no reason for her to hide him.

‘No matter where you run, even if it’s to the World of the Living, I will find you.’

Suddenly, Yoruichi’s expression froze. That’s right, the World of the Living. It was entirely possible he had gone there.

She hadn’t considered Hueco Mundo. The environment there was too harsh; Shin wouldn’t have gone there.

But the environment in the World of the Living was quite pleasant. She guessed Shin had probably run off there, but it was still just a guess.

“I’ll go find Soi Fon. I’ll have her investigate and see if he’s really in the World of the Living.” Yoruichi went back to find Soi Fon.

Soi Fon didn’t refuse. She would carry out any order from Yoruichi without question, and she herself wanted to find Shin.

“Lady Yoruichi, if Shin-sama has really gone to the World of the Living, it won’t be easy to find him.”

Soi Fon said to Yoruichi. If Shin didn’t want to be found, they really didn’t have the ability to find him.

Besides, they couldn’t just send the 2nd Division members to the World of the Living unless something happened there that required their intervention.

Yoruichi nodded slightly. She knew the chances of finding Shin were slim, but she had to try.
