Chapter 1022: [1022] : A New World

Shin's vision began to blur rapidly in waves.

Then, the cold, mechanical voice of the System echoed in his mind.

[We are now entering a high-tier dimension—the Dragon Ball universe.]

"Your objective is to become the absolute strongest entity in this world. Once you achieve this, your ultimate mission will be complete. Furthermore, succeeding here holds the highest probability of opening a path back to your original world."

"However, this universe is very volatile and filled with extreme danger. Please proceed with the utmost caution."

[Ding. You have been granted the authority to select your starting race.]

Shin was completely stunned. The Dragon Ball universe? He knew exactly how absurdly dangerous this dimension was.

Even at his absolute maximum output, destroying an entire world was still a taxing endeavor for him. But in the Dragon Ball universe, a warrior with a mere Power Level of 10,000 could casually vaporize a planet.

Based on that scaling, Shin estimated his current base combat strength without utilizing other multiversal abilities was roughly equivalent to a Power Level of 10,000.

His raw numerical Power Level wouldn't be astronomically high right from the start. Cruising through this world effortlessly like he had in previous dimensions was going to be nearly impossible. But regardless of the difficulty, he had to keep moving forward with a smile. It was the only way he was ever going to find his way back home.

It sounded a bit absurd, but since the die was already cast, he had no other viable options.

"Alright," Shin said slowly. "Show me the available races."

The System's voice chimed again.

[Based on the lore databases in your memory, you may choose from the following races.]

[Human. Extremely weak baseline strength, but possesses supreme intellect, capable of creating powerful Androids and advanced technology.]

Shin almost laughed out loud. The System didn't even bother describing humans' combat potential. He knew exactly how irrelevant humanity was in the grand scheme of Dragon Ball battles. He immediately shook his head.

[Frost Demon. Possesses terrifying innate power. Gains an incredibly high Power Level simply by being born. Exceptionally fast growth rate. The destined mortal enemies of the Super Saiyans.]

Shin shook his head again. "Next. I don't want that one."

"Saiyan."

Before the System could even elaborate, Shin locked in his choice.

"Heh," Shin smirked. "Only the protagonist's race comes with infinite plot armor."

——————————

His vision went completely black. When his eyes finally fluttered open, he found himself standing in a desolate, rocky wasteland.

This was Planet Vegeta.

But what exact time period was he in?

Right on cue, a panicked voice echoed in the distance. "Lord Frieza is summoning all of us outside immediately!"

Hearing that single sentence, Shin instantly knew exactly where he was in the timeline.

'Good grief,' Shin thought. 'This is the exact moment Frieza is about to annihilate Planet Vegeta. Goku must still be an infant.'

Suddenly, a young female Saiyan stormed up to him, her face twisted in pure rage.

"Carola, what the hell are you doing??" she screamed, glaring daggers at him. "Having a worthless piece of trash like you for an older brother absolutely makes me sick!"

Shin blinked, completely taken aback. This time, he hadn't just transmigrated his physical body—this was a soul transmigration. His original body was still back in the System Space. This was certainly a thrilling change of pace.

He looked down at the young girl. She was genuinely beautiful, but her eyes were burning with undeniable hostility.

"Who exactly are you?" Shin asked, scratching the back of his head.

"You useless garbage!" she spat. "A pathetic, low-class warrior! I must have the worst luck in the galaxy to be stuck with a failure like you. Lord Vegeta is a million times better. How could our elite parents ever give birth to such a worthless disappointment??"

Shin was completely speechless. As she yelled, a flood of memories from his host body finally surfaced in his mind.

Carola. A low-class warrior of Planet Vegeta.

Power Level: 108.

Shin mentally groaned. He had rolled a terrible spawn. A Power Level of 108? With that kind of pathetic strength, he wouldn't even be able to walk sideways on Earth, let alone survive the galactic stage.

"Listen here, little sister," Shin said slowly, his tone dropping. "If you keep talking to me like that, I am going to give you a serious beating. You are a girl, why are you always trying to pick a fight?"

The young girl scoffed, looking at him with utter disdain. "A weakling like you would be better off dead. How dare you try to lecture me??"

Shin noticed the scouter attached to his own ear. He quickly tapped the button and scanned her.

Power Level: 6,000.

'Damn, that is actually impressive,' Shin thought. 'She is a genuine elite warrior.'

Shin knew his own physical stats weren't high at the moment, but with his martial arts experience, he could probably beat a young Vegeta. However, that was likely his absolute limit without using his other powers. In the Dragon Ball universe, all the flashy magical techniques in the multiverse ultimately paled in comparison to raw, overwhelming physical force.

"You think you can kill me?" Shin asked smoothly. "You are far too weak for that. Take a good look at my real Power Level."

Shin instantly tapped into his Ten-Tails chakra reserves, converting the energy and releasing a massive, controlled burst of aura.

Amela, his sister, was completely unimpressed. "Why would I waste my time checking your Power Level? Did you honestly think one simple mission magically made you stronger?"

She tapped her scouter anyway, purely to humor herself.

Amela froze completely. Her jaw dropped as she stared at Shin in utter disbelief.

"How??" she gasped. "I am an elite warrior! How could a low-class piece of trash like you surpass me?? You must be using some cowardly, underhanded trick!"

Shin let out a long sigh, already feeling annoyed. The Saiyan temperament was incredibly unstable—they were basically just highly evolved apes with anger issues. Even though she was his sister, he didn't feel any familial warmth from her at all. She was treating him like an absolute stranger.

"Alright, calm down," Shin said. "Now that you know my true Power Level, you are going to act like a proper little sister and follow my lead. Stick with me, and I will make you even stronger than I am."

Even though Amela was classified as a high-class warrior, she was still just a fourteen-year-old girl. And as Shin sifted through the original host's memories, he realized there was much more to her than her abrasive attitude.
