Shin’s ship didn’t linger at the Sabaody Archipelago, setting a course for Enies Lobby.

Olvia’s expression turned serious. Heading to Enies Lobby was incredibly dangerous—she had to be focused.

But one look at Shin’s completely unfazed demeanor made her spirits sink. They were heading to the judicial island of the World Government. Could he at least try to look concerned??

“I thought we were going to Water 7. Why the sudden change to Enies Lobby?”

Olvia asked Shin, puzzled.

Just a short while ago, their destination had been Water 7, but now it was Enies Lobby. What was the reason for this change?

“We’re still going to Water 7. But there’s a chance we can find Tom on Enies Lobby. Since he was arrested and charged with a crime, they’re bound to have information on him there.”

Shin had figured as much, which was why he decided to head to Enies Lobby first. There was another reason, of course—it was closer.

From the Sabaody Archipelago, Enies Lobby was clearly closer than Water 7. Going there first, and then to Water 7, wouldn’t waste any time.

“Alright. I think we’re in for a fight,” Olvia said, already prepared for battle.

“No need to be so tense.” Shin said to Olvia, then pointed at Hancock.

“Look at Hancock. She’s so excited. I bet she’s really looking forward to the next fight.”

“Yes, I’m very much looking forward to it.” Hancock nodded, drawing her sword. She hadn’t had enough fun when dealing with Doflamingo last time.

“Don’t worry, Mother. When have you ever seen Shin do something he wasn’t sure about?” Robin said, having complete faith in Shin.

From the moment Shin had saved her and her mother, Robin’s trust in him had been absolute. If Shin claimed he could take on the entire world by himself, Robin wouldn’t doubt him for a second.

Meanwhile, at Marine Headquarters, the news had already arrived: Shin’s Kuja Pirates were heading for Enies Lobby.

Though they didn’t know if he was actually going to Enies Lobby, this was enough to put Sengoku on high alert.

“Garp, it seems we have to go ourselves this time. Shin Uzumaki’s Kuja Pirates are approaching Enies Lobby.”

Sengoku said seriously to Garp.

“Ah, can’t you just send Aokiji and the others? I wanted to go see my grandson,” Garp said, somewhat reluctantly.

“Garp, are you playing dumb or do you genuinely not know? Aokiji and the others aren’t here—they’ve gone to the New World.” Sengoku roared at Garp.

“Alright, alright, I get it. I’ll go with you.” Garp yawned. He really wanted to go see his grandson, but it seemed he wouldn’t have the chance now.

As for being afraid—while Shin’s strength was undeniable, Garp wasn’t intimidated in the least. Back in his day, he’d hunted Roger, battled Whitebeard, and even teamed up with Roger to destroy the Rocks Pirates, crushing Rocks’s ambitions once and for all.

Fear had never been in Garp’s vocabulary. Even facing someone as unfathomably powerful as Shin, that hadn’t changed.

“BE CAREFUL THIS TIME.” Sengoku still reminded Garp. He also knew how dangerous this operation was.

“Do we need to call for reinforcements?” Garp asked Sengoku.

“No. They’d just get in the way. Besides, we need to move fast. According to the latest intel, Shin Uzumaki is about to reach Enies Lobby.”

Though he didn’t know why Shin Uzumaki was heading to Enies Lobby, one thing was certain—nothing could happen to that place. Any incident there would be a massive blow to Marine prestige.

Ever since Roger’s execution, the Marines’ reputation had been in steady decline. Roger’s final words had sparked the Great Pirate Era, flooding the seas with countless new pirates.

Their control over the oceans had hit rock bottom. And now, with pirates stronger than ever before, this truly was the Great Pirate Era at its peak. If Shin Uzumaki caused another major incident, it would be a true disaster.

The importance of Enies Lobby was too great. It absolutely could not fall. Sengoku had already resolved to protect Enies Lobby, even if it cost him his life.

————

Garp and Sengoku set off for Enies Lobby. Marine Headquarters, Marineford, was located very close to the island.

Marineford, Enies Lobby, and Impel Down formed a triangle. If any of the three were in trouble, Marine Headquarters could provide immediate support.

“By the way, Sengoku, did you tell the Five Elders?”

Garp suddenly remembered and asked.

Faced with Garp’s questioning, Sengoku fell silent, deep in thought. He hadn’t informed the Five Elders beforehand—that was definitely his mistake. Something this major absolutely required their knowledge.

“WHY DON’T YOU TELL THEM?”

Sengoku asked Garp tentatively.

“Get lost! You already screwed me over with the Gion situation. You think I’m falling for this twice?” Garp shot back at Sengoku irritably.

Sure, contacting the Five Elders sounded important—but only when you had good news to share. Calling them with nothing but bad news? That was just asking to get chewed out.

“I’m just a Vice Admiral. I don’t have the clearance to speak with the Five Elders. You’re on your own,” Garp said, picking his nose.

He was essentially telling Sengoku to handle it himself.

Sengoku sighed quietly—there was no getting around it. He’d have to contact the Five Elders himself. Hopefully they wouldn’t tear him a new one this time.

Deep down, Sengoku was already prepared for the verbal lashing he was about to receive.

————

“Sengoku, what is it? Why are you contacting us?”

One of the Five Elders spoke through the Den Den Mushi. Sengoku couldn’t tell which one, and frankly, he didn’t have the energy to figure it out.

The Five Elders were shrouded in an unfathomable mystery. They’d wielded power for longer than anyone could fathom—already ruling during his childhood, and even before that—in his father’s generation too.

“I have something important to report. It’s about Shin Uzumaki.”

“About Shin Uzumaki? I doubt it’s good news.”

The Five Elders probably understood quite well. Anything involving Shin Uzumaki was bound to be bad news.

“Yes. Shin Uzumaki is heading to Enies Lobby.”

Sengoku hesitated for a moment, then delivered the news. There was no avoiding it—the Five Elders had to know.

After he finished speaking, he braced himself for the inevitable Trash talking.

“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?? TELL ME, WHY IS SHIN UZUMAKI HEADING TO ENIES LOBBY? SENGOKU, GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION.” The Five Elders’ furious voice came through.
