Naruto: Child of Chakra

"KUSHINA UZUMAKI AND MINATO NAMIKAGE, These are the names of your parents."

As soon as Naruto heard this he stopped in his tracks. He looked back with shining yet conflicted eyes. The answer he was looking for was right here, but was he prepared for it? He had no idea. ​​

"M-Minato Namikaze? But he was the fourth Hokage." Naruto said, unable to so easily believe that this father was such a legendary person.

Kurama stepped back and laid down, "Yes, stupid brat. Your father was the fourth Hokage."

"B-But... Old Man Third Hokage said my parents were normal people and died in your attack on Konoha." Naruto replied in disbelief. How could it be so easy for a little kid who had been lied to his whole life to just accept the truth? It became even harder when the lies came from the mouth of those you considered close.

"Huh, I was sealed inside your mother before you. I killed your parents with my own hands and you doubt my words? Brat... Your village lied to you. Your father was a good man... The only human who actually apologised to me... Only if he had done it before getting pierced by me, I would have spared him." Kurama remembered that night. What Minato had said was still stuck in his mind. The words, "I apologise for keeping you away from your family,"

*THUD*

Naruto fell back. He didn't even remember being afraid. "Why did they? If my parents were heroes... Then why did the people not tell me? AND WHY DID YOU KILL THEM?"

"SHUT UP, BOY! Don't raise your voice at me. I did not choose to be locked inside you, I was imprisoned here. I also have a family, a village, friends, and my son. And I couldn't see them for decades because of you humans. First that Madara used his eyes on me, then your Hashirama imprisoned me in his wife, then your mother came, then another Uchiha tried to control me, and now I am stuck in you.

"For decades now, I was imprisoned, enslaved to be used as a weapon. Tell me, SHOULD I GIVE YOU HUMANS FLOWERS?" Kurama growled in anger. He didn't have anybody to talk to for the past decades, and finally, he was letting his feelings out.

Naruto sniffed and turned silent. He didn't want to feel bad for Kurama, he wanted to be angry at him. But he felt that Kurama was also a victim in all this. Just like him, he was an outcast, seen as a demon by humans.

"Then... Why don't you go out? I am standing here, I will open the seal for you." Naruto offered naively.

Kurama shockingly looked at his innocent face. He smirked, "Do you even know what that means? What does separating a Jinchuriki from a Bijuu mean? You will die as soon as I am out."

Naruto sadly looked at his feet, "Then... Kill me. Maybe then I will see my parents and ask them why they had to die and lock you inside me. Maybe if they had not... People wouldn't have hated me."

"And how are you planning on recognising them? You have never seen them and they saw you when you were just a day old." Kurama smartly countered, confusing the boy.

Looking at the conflicted face of Naruto, Kurama burst out into laughter, "Hahaha... Your stupidity is very amusing. Since I started watching your life I have never been bored."

"HEY! I'm not stupid. I will one day become the greatest Hokage." Naruto proclaimed in the same old enthusiastic spirit. Even after all this, he was still talking about being the Hokage. He really didn't have a very long attention span, but from his face, it was clear he was hiding his pain. He was finally growing into an adult, learning to hide his feelings behind a fake smile.

But again, how could he feel so bad for a parent he never saw, met, heard or knew?

Kurama scoffed, "Huh, says the boy who had his first kiss with another boy in front of the entire classroom."

Naruto reddened in anger, "THAT WAS AN ACCIDENT!"

Kurama quickly talked back in a saintly voice, "There are no accidents,"

"*Sigh* Can you send me back? I want to go and talk to Lord Third. I wanna ask him why he lied to me." Naruto asked politely.

"Don't. That sneaky monkey cannot be trusted. Gorillas are good but monkeys are the worst. He will lie to you again, or worse, some secret enemy will listen to you and kidnap you to take me out. Your best bet is to ask that white-haired pervert. He was your father's sensei." Kurama revealed.

"REALLY? Pervy-sage was my dad's sensei? Then... He must have a photo of him. Please, send me out." Naruto requested.

Kurama waved his hand, "Just leave on your own. The same way you came here. Besides, that man has already kidnapped your body and brought you away."

"WHAT?" Naruto exclaimed, and with that, his consciousness also returned to his body.

"I hope I did the right thing, Shiro. I will be coming to you soon." Kurama muttered to himself and closed his eyes. Keeping a watch on what was happening outside.

Jiraiya was confused and desperate. He went full speed and brought Naruto's body with him. He came to the waterfall outside the village.

"Ha... Ha... I hope this will be enough distance." He was panting.

The red plasma-like material was gathering on Naruto, it was becoming thicker and thicker.

Jiraiya sat down under a tree shade to take a breath. *Woosh* But in just a second Naruto's body vanished.

Jiraiya stood up immediately, alert about his surroundings.

*BOOM*

~Did the... The Nine tails take over?~ He wondered and took out his scroll.

"RAAAA..." A loud fear-inducing scream echoed in the jungle and out of nowhere Naruto jumped towards him.

"RASENGAN!" Jiraiya created a spiralling ball of chakra in his palm and prepared to fight as he clenched his teeth.

He expected a rude attack to touch him but what came was an intelligent voice, "Are you sure? You will be hurting Naruto's body."

To Jiraiya's horror, Naruto's body was a few inches away from his hand, and the part where Rasengan was going to hit wasn't covered in the red chakra.

"ARGH!..." Jiraiya fell back and felt pain, the claws made of Chakra Pierce his shoulder and pinned him down.

But the beast also stopped. Jiraiya saw Naruto's mutation up close. His eyes had become red foxlike and his canines had elongated. His whiskers had become much deeper.

"Tell me, where is Shiroken?" A voice asked, it sounded like Naruto's as well as an unknown voice mixed together.

Jiraiya's immediately realised. The nine tails was asking for his family. Understanding that the best option would be to tell the truth and calm the beast, he replied.

"In Tea Country, now renamed as Dama Country. I went there and met him a few weeks ago. I saw him, the Dama clan is also living a good life. He is looking for you all and has already freed the three tails and the six tails." He honestly told him everything.

Jiraiya took a sigh of relief when he saw the red plasma disappearing from Naruto's body. His gambling had worked and telling the truth came in handy.

"ARA... AH... PERVY-SAGE! What are you doing?" Naruto's normal shock filled voice spooked Jiraiya. Naruto was sitting on his body, his head close to his face.

*BAM*

"I was fighting the nine tails control over your body. I'm only interested in beauties so don't cook something nasty in that head of yours." Jiraiya clarified.

"I don't believe you. You're the Pervy-sage. Who knows what you're interested in…" Naruto strongly said.

"BRAT..E HERE!" He caught Naruto and drilled his knuckles on his head.

For a while Naruto laughed, but then he seriously started, "Hehe... Umm... Sensei... I-I know everything now. About the beast, the Jinchuriki and... About my parents. Please tell me about them. PLEASE!"

Jiraiya's smile faded and seriousness took over. It was going to be a long day, he realised.

Dama Capital,

Shiroken had completed the Jinchuriki seal with Chomei. Now Chomei was the Saint of the Skies of Dama country. Sometimes some daring kids would ask him for a lift. Even Saiken asked him for a short ride. Flying was just so much fun. Looking at the landscape from the sky never gets old.

"Everyone... I will see you soon with Shukaku this time." Shiroken sat on a carriage carrying various goods. There was a whole convoy of 500 such carriages waiting outside for him.

This time, Shisui and Rakumatsu, the old bodybuilder of the village, were going with him. He brought Rakumatsu so he could bring back the whole convoy to the country after doing trade.

"Bye Bye..." He waved his hand.

"SHIRO, I've packed your favourite dumplings. Be sure to eat them." Monari reminded him.

Shiroken gleefully smiled and waved, "I WILL... Take care until I return. HAKU! Study well... and Jin, govern well. SHIRAJIN! Annoy your parents more... hehe"

Chomei then escorted them to the country's boundary and returned from there. Then the big convoy headed towards the deserted Wind Country. Desolate, dry and barren, where small villages live on the brink of cannibalism outbreaks. Where the Daimyo ignore the plights of the common people, where the shinobi village would rather wage war than make peace with the neighbours in exchange for food resources. This desert was not kind to anybody.

And Shiroken knew this was going to be a tough nut to crack if things didn't go very well. However, Shiroken was a player nobody had ever faced before. In the face of absolute strength… What would their response be… Fight, or flight?

Only time would tell.

[A/N: This marks the end of volume 1. The simple take over of villages ends here. One thing will lead to another now as some heavy stuff is about to happen in the Naruto world. The Chunin exam is coming closer. Naruto will be facing the reality about the condition of the world earlier this time. He will change, he will become better in this timeline. He won't be a fool all the time.]
