Chapter 423: Chapter 425: Final Preparations!

“I’m back.”

Standing in the Forest of Death, Seiryū swept his perception across all of Konoha and immediately sensed the familiar Chakra signatures. Only then did he finally relax. He had genuinely been worried that he might accidentally end up in yet another space-time.

“Respected sir, my mission is complete. To prevent something like this from happening again, I have decided to leave this place.”

Karasuki, the pink turtle-shaped treasure, spoke respectfully to Seiryū before its body dissolved into light and disappeared.

It had originally been nothing more than a treasure capable of traveling through space-time, yet somehow it had inexplicably gained the ability to cross between different timelines. Even Karasuki itself did not understand how that had happened.

To prevent another accident, it decided to leave and find somewhere quiet to sleep.

“That’s probably for the best. Different space-times really shouldn’t interfere with each other too much.”

Seiryū slowly exhaled.

“I wonder how much time has passed here. Forget it, I’ll go ask that troublesome woman. Hopefully, I haven’t disappeared for another entire year. That would be a real problem.”

Without thinking about it any further, Seiryū focused his perception, locked onto Tsunade’s location, and disappeared using the Flying Raijin Jutsu.

Seeing Seiryū return safely naturally delighted Tsunade and the others. His return meant that he had won the battle against Isshiki.

Seiryū soon learned that he had been gone for less than an hour and laughed in relief.

“Good. At least I didn’t come back a year later again. That would’ve delayed everything.”

Tsunade looked at him. “Where did you go? Even your Chakra completely disappeared.”

“I ended up in another space-time,” Seiryū explained. “I even met another version of you there.”

“Another version of me?”

Tsunade was stunned for a moment. “The same space-time Sasuke and Boruto came from?”

“No. It was actually quite a coincidence. Do you remember Naruto from the Rōran mission? Isshiki and I ended up in his space-time and arrived during the Fourth Shinobi World War.”

“The Fourth Shinobi World War? The war Sasuke said Obito started?”

“Yeah. I didn’t expect to end up there either. It was a pretty interesting experience.”

Tsunade glanced at him. “What was I like in that space-time?”

Seiryū thought for a moment. “How should I put it? Her personality was a lot more composed than yours, but she was much weaker. She hadn’t learned Sage Mode or awakened Wood Style.”

Tsunade fell silent.

This brat was definitely insulting her.

Afterward, once Tsunade had learned roughly what had happened, she considerately told Seiryū to go rest while she continued dealing with the remaining matters in the village.

Seiryū chatted briefly with the others, then, feeling the exhaustion finally catch up with him, returned home and fell asleep almost immediately.

The next morning, Seiryū woke feeling completely refreshed. After eating the breakfast Kurenai had carefully prepared, he went to find Kaguya, and the two headed together toward the Forest of Death.

Carrying the completely sealed Isshiki with him, Seiryū said, “I promised you I’d bring him back, and I did. His Chakra is yours.”

He glanced at Kaguya.

“After you recover your full strength, don’t try anything foolish. Otherwise, don’t blame me for using Kaidō again.”

“I… I understand.”

Kaguya’s body trembled involuntarily.

Kaidō had left a deep psychological scar on her. Even a Kekkei Mōra-level existence could not resist that technique.

Sometimes, she still remembered the sensation.

It was simply too terrifying!

Kaguya said seriously, “I promise I won’t do anything like that again.”

Even Isshiki, who had already reached Kekkei Mōra, had been captured alive by Seiryū. Kaguya had no reason to believe she could defeat him.

She certainly did not dare act recklessly in front of him.

“Good.”

Seiryū nodded with satisfaction, then tossed Isshiki over.

“He’s yours.”

“All right.”

Looking down at Isshiki, who had completely lost the ability to resist, Kaguya felt a strange mixture of emotions.

A Kekkei Mōra-level existence stood among the highest echelons of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, yet Isshiki was now lying helplessly on the ground before her.

Kaguya began absorbing his Chakra while Seiryū brought out the various Chakra sources he had collected earlier.

It was time to make the final preparations.

Seiryū planned to wait until the total solar eclipse in a few days before officially attempting to break through to the Kekkei Mōra level.

“I originally planned to use the improved Chimera Technique for the breakthrough, but now that I have Isshiki’s Ten-Tails from the other space-time, the process should be much simpler.”

Seiryū’s original plan had been to use Hiruko’s improved Chimera Technique to absorb all the Chakra sources at once and force his body to evolve into a Kekkei Mōra-level existence.

However, he now possessed the Ten-Tails that belonged to Isshiki from another space-time.

The Ten-Tails could absorb almost any kind of Chakra without suffering rejection.

That was one of its innate abilities.

Now, Seiryū intended to have the Ten-Tails absorb every Chakra source he had collected, concentrating all of that power within a single vessel.

The Ten-Tails could effectively act as a filter, processing those different kinds of Chakra into a single, unified form.

That purified Chakra would be far easier for Seiryū to use.

“I don’t need a Chakra Fruit. I just need an enormous amount of Chakra.”

Seiryū’s eyes flashed.

At this point, the only thing he lacked for reaching Kekkei Mōra was sheer Chakra volume.

He had already mastered the fusion of all seven Chakra natures.

All that remained was gathering enough power.

“Come out. Time to work.”

Seiryū formed a one-handed seal and released the Ten-Tails from his body.

He had already become its Jinchūriki in the other space-time, so naturally, he had retained that status after returning.

Although he no longer had Sasuke’s tomoe Rinnegan, his own strength was more than enough to keep the Ten-Tails obedient.

“Whine.”

The Ten-Tails did not dare cause trouble in front of Seiryū and let out a subdued sound like a frightened beast.

It did not dare disobey him either.

Its tails extended toward the Chakra sources, which naturally held a strong attraction for it.

Devour.

Absorb.

As the Ten-Tails gradually consumed those sources, its form began to change.

Little by little, it transformed into a strange plant.

It did not develop a lush canopy or countless branches. Instead, it possessed only a massive straight trunk, with a large flower bud gradually forming at the top.

Seiryū examined it with his perception and muttered, “So even with this much Chakra, it still can’t produce a Chakra Fruit. As expected, an Ōtsutsuki sacrifice is mandatory.”

The Ten-Tails from the other space-time had already been close to maturity. The only thing it had lacked was an Ōtsutsuki to serve as a sacrifice.

Now, after absorbing Chakra sources whose combined reserves approached the Six Paths level, the Ten-Tails had transformed into a nearly mature God Tree.

Yet it still bore no fruit.

Obviously, no matter how much Chakra the Ten-Tails or God Tree absorbed, it could not produce a Chakra Fruit without an Ōtsutsuki sacrifice.

But Seiryū did not care.

He had never intended to consume a Chakra Fruit in the first place.

He did not need one.
