Myth Beyond Heaven

Chapter 2764 - 2764: War God (2)

BOOM!

Zhan Tian’s sword came down like a falling star, striking Yun Lintian square in the chest despite his evasion attempt. Ribs shattered instantly, blood spraying from his mouth as he was sent flying across the battlefield.

“Guh—!” Yun Lintian crashed through several stone pillars before rolling to a stop.

“Big Brother Yun!” Linlin screamed, her claws digging into the earth as she fought against Zhan Tian’s oppressive aura.

Yun Lintian coughed up blood, but his hands were already moving. Emerald light burst from his palms as he activated the Breath of the World Tree. The shattered ribs began knitting back together, torn flesh mending at visible speed.

Zhan Tian didn’t give him time to recover.

The War God appeared above him, sword raised for another strike. Yun Lintian barely rolled away as the blade carved a ravine into the ground where he’d lain.

“Not bad,” Zhan Tian commented, his voice carrying across the battlefield. “To think you can still move after that.”

Yun Lintian wiped blood from his lips, his golden-flecked eyes narrowing. The pain was immense, but he’d endured worse.

Zhan Tian attacked again.

This time, Yun Lintian was ready. He crossed the White Dragon Spear before him, layering it with Black Turtle defenses and Azure Dragon scales.

CLANG!

The impact still sent him skidding back, his boots carving trenches in the earth, but he held firm.

“You’re holding up better than most,” Zhan Tian remarked, his sword already coming around for another strike. “But let’s see how long that lasts.”

Buzz—

Suddenly, the pressure tripled.

Zhan Tian’s battle intent materialized into a visible aura—a swirling maelstrom of crimson energy that distorted space itself. The very air became heavy, every breath a struggle.

Yun Lintian’s knees buckled slightly, but he forced himself to stand straight. His Divine Core burned as he circulated all his authorities to resist the crushing weight.

Then Zhan Tian used his technique.

“War God’s Decree: Endless Carnage.”

The battlefield changed.

The plain vanished, replaced by an endless field of corpses and broken weapons. The sky turned blood-red, and the stench of iron filled the air. This was no illusion—Zhan Tian had overwritten reality itself with his domain.

Yun Lintian’s senses screamed danger. Every instinct told him to run, but there was nowhere to go.

Zhan Tian raised his sword—and ten thousand spectral warriors materialized behind him, their weapons gleaming with deadly intent.

“Welcome to my domain,” the War God challenged, “survive this.”

The army charged.

Yun Lintian didn’t hesitate.

He activated all eight bloodlines simultaneously, his body radiating multicolored energy. The White Dragon Spear became a blur as he met the first wave head-on.

Yet for every warrior felled, ten more took its place.

Yun Lintian fought like a man possessed, his spear movements becoming sharper, deadlier. He adapted mid-battle, learning the spectral warriors’ patterns and exploiting weaknesses.

But the horde was endless.

A spear found his thigh. An axe grazed his shoulder. Arrows peppered his back.

Each injury healed almost instantly thanks to the Breath of the World Tree, but the strain was immense. His Divine Core burned from overuse, his meridians screaming in protest.

Zhan Tian watched from atop a mountain of corpses, his expression unreadable.

“This is the Eternal War,” Zhan Tian said calmly. “You will never outlasting it.”

Drawing on the God of Balance’s authority, Yun Lintian did something reckless—he stopped attacking altogether.

The spectral warriors hesitated for a fraction of a second, confused by the sudden lack of resistance.

That was all Yun Lintian needed.

He reversed the Breath of the World Tree, unleashing a torrent of life energy not at the enemies, but at the battlefield itself.

Emerald vines erupted from the ground, tangling around spectral warriors and rooting them in place. The corrupted life energy disrupted Zhan Tian’s deathly domain, creating pockets of instability.

Then Yun Lintian struck.

Channeling every ounce of power into the White Dragon Spear, he shot toward Zhan Tian like a comet.

The War God’s eyes widened slightly—then he smiled and raised his sword to meet the challenge.

The clash shook the bloody battlefield to its core.

BOOOOOM!—

The collision of their weapons sent shockwaves rippling across the bloody battlefield. Yun Lintian’s spear met Zhan Tian’s greatsword with enough force to shatter mountains—yet the War God didn’t budge.

Yun Lintian gritted his teeth, pushing with all his might. His muscles screamed in protest, his bones creaking under the strain.

Zhan Tian’s expression remained impassive. With a casual flick of his wrist, he sent Yun Lintian flying back again.

CRASH!

Yun Lintian slammed into the ground, carving a deep trench through the field of corpses. Blood poured from fresh wounds—his defenses were crumbling.

Zhan Tian approached slowly, his greatsword dragging behind him. “You’ve fought well,” he admitted. “But this ends now.”

The killing intent that descended was unlike anything Yun Lintian had ever felt. It wasn’t just pressure—it was the weight of countless battlefields, the screams of endless wars condensed into pure, annihilating will.

Linlin and Qingqing cried out, their bodies pinned to the ground by the sheer force of it.

Yun Lintian knew he had one last chance.

Instantly, the Beyond Heaven King’s Crown appeared on his head. The moment it settled onto his brow, six distinct auras erupted from Yun Lintian’s body.

They were the powers of the God of Darkness, the Sun God, the God of Life, the God of Balance, the Mountain God, and the River God.

Zhan Tian’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Finally.”

Yun Lintian immediately made his move.

The battlefield became a storm of colliding energies.

Yun Lintian moved with newfound speed, his spear strikes now carrying the weight of multiple Primordial authorities. Where before Zhan Tian had brushed off his attacks, now the War God had to actively defend.

BOOM!

A solar-charged thrust forced Zhan Tian back a step—the first time he’d retreated in the entire battle.

The War God looked at his feet, then at Yun Lintian. A slow grin spread across his face.

“Hahahaha!” His laughter shook the bloody sky. “At last! An opponent worth fighting!”

Zhan Tian’s greatsword ignited with crimson energy as he finally unleashed his full power. The two clashed again, each blow rewriting the landscape around them.

Mountains of corpses vaporized under their strikes. The blood-red sky split from the force of their collisions…
