Myth Beyond Heaven

Chapter 2719 - 2719: Eternal Darkness Realm (1)

Deep within the Eternal Darkness Realm, a place where perpetual twilight reigned and shadows danced with malevolent energy, a figure stood amidst the gloom. He was a young man, clad in robes of obsidian black, his features sharp and refined, his eyes gleaming with an unsettling intensity.

This was Mu Ren, the right-hand man of the God of Darkness, a being of immense power and influence.

Before him knelt a subordinate, his head bowed, his voice trembling as he delivered his report.

“Lord Mu,” the subordinate began, his voice barely a whisper, “I have grave news. The Profound Mystery God, Xuan Shen, has fallen.”

Mu Ren’s eyes narrowed, his expression darkening. “Fallen? Explain.”

“Lord Xuan Shen was… eliminated,” the subordinate stammered, “by an unknown cultivator. This cultivator appeared out of nowhere, displaying power that… defies comprehension.”

Mu Ren’s brow furrowed. “An unknown cultivator?” he murmured, his voice laced with suspicion. “Who dares challenge the authority of a Primordial God?”

“We have investigated, Lord Mu,” the subordinate continued, his voice trembling slightly. “The cultivator is called Yun Lintian. He seems to have emerged from nowhere, his origins unknown, his powers… unprecedented.”

Mu Ren’s eyes flashed, his aura swirling with dark energy. “Yun Lintian,” he repeated, his voice a low growl. “Find him. Find his whereabouts. I want to know everything about him. His origins, his powers, his intentions.”

“Yes, Lord Mu,” the subordinate replied, his voice filled with fear and respect. He bowed deeply and vanished into the shadows, his form dissolving into the darkness.

Mu Ren stood alone, his gaze fixed on the swirling darkness before him. He felt a sense of unease, a premonition of change. The fall of a True God was not a trivial matter. It signaled a shift in the balance of power, a disruption in the order of the realms.

“Yun Lintian,” he murmured, his voice laced with a hint of menace. “What is your intention?”

He turned and walked towards the depths of the Eternal Darkness Realm, his figure disappearing into the shadows. He carried with him a sense of foreboding, a feeling that the God Realm was on the verge of a great upheaval.

Meanwhile, far from the shadows of the Eternal Darkness Realm, Yun Lintian guided the Cloud Dragon Ark through the vast expanse of the God Realm.

He had left the serene beauty of the Plum Blossom Valley behind, his mind now focused on the task ahead.

He had already sent Shi Nansun to the Nine Firmament Realm and planned to recruit more blacksmiths when he had an opportunity later.

As the Cloud Dragon Ark sailed through the void, Yun Lintian retrieved the jade slip, its surface cool and smooth to his touch. He activated it, and the information contained within flowed into his mind, a comprehensive overview of the Primordial Gods and their domains.

The jade slip detailed the twelve Primordial Gods: the God of Life, the God of Death, the God of Darkness, the God of Light, the God of Space, the God of Order, the God of Balance, the God of War, the Sun God, the Moon God, the Star God, and the God of Time. Each god held dominion over a specific aspect of the cosmos, their powers shaping the very fabric of reality.

Yun Lintian focused on the information regarding the God of Darkness, the ruler of the realm he was currently approaching. The jade slip described the Eternal Darkness Realm as a place of perpetual twilight, a domain of shadows and malevolent energy. It was a place of immense power, a realm where even True Gods tread with caution.

He then read about the neighboring domains. To the east of the Eternal Darkness Realm lay the domain of the God of Balance, a realm of harmonious energies and neutral forces.

Beyond that, to the east of the God of Balance’s domain, lay the domain of the God of Life, a realm of vibrant energies and boundless creation.

Yun Lintian contemplated the information, his mind formulating a plan.

“After dealing with the God of Darkness,” he murmured to himself, “I will proceed to the God of Balance’s domain. Perhaps I can find some clues there. And then, I will visit the God of Life’s domain.”

He deactivated the jade slip and returned it to his spatial ring. He then focused his attention on the Cloud Dragon Ark, guiding it through the vast expanse.

After nearly a month of travel, the Cloud Dragon Ark finally reached the edge of the Eternal Darkness Realm. The swirling nebula of darkness loomed before Yun Lintian, its oppressive energy a stark contrast to the brilliant stars scattered across the void.

As he guided the ark into the realm, the light dimmed, the air thickened, and a palpable sense of dread filled the atmosphere.

The Eternal Darkness Realm was a place of perpetual twilight, a domain of shadows and chaotic energy. For most cultivators, the oppressive darkness and malevolent aura would be terrifying, a place to avoid at all costs. But for Yun Lintian, who possessed the power of the God of Darkness himself, it was nothing more than a slightly gloomy environment.

He deactivated the Cloud Dragon Ark’s flight mode and allowed it to drift, its lights piercing the darkness. He then stored the massive vessel into his spatial ring, its presence no longer needed in this realm of shadows.

He floated in the darkness, his senses alert, his mind focused on finding a way to the core area of the realm, where the God of Darkness resided.

The darkness was not merely an absence of light; it was a tangible force, a swirling vortex of chaotic energy that seemed to pulse with malevolent intent.

Yun Lintian felt the darkness probing his senses, attempting to overwhelm his mind with its oppressive presence. But he remained unfazed, his will as unyielding as the darkness itself.

As he drifted through the gloom, he encountered the creatures of darkness, beings born from the chaotic energy of the realm. They were formless entities, their bodies composed of swirling shadows, their eyes glowing with malevolent light.

They were drawn to his presence, their instincts driven by the desire to consume any source of light or energy.

“They look similar to the creatures of chaos,” Linlin spoke up as she stared at the oncoming creatures of darkness.

“Indeed. They are probably born from the experiment that Xuan Shen had been doing in the past,” Yun Lintian said calmly.
