The road back to Shadowveil was peaceful.

The sun was beginning to move lower across the sky.

She stumbled.

The three continued toward the city.

She kept looking at the wings.

“I don't know.”

Nyxhen stared at her.

The receptionist cleared her throat.

Mina nodded.

“We have three.”

She pointed.

“Me.”

Then Yumiko.

“Her.”

Then Nyxhen.

“Unfortunately,” Nyxhen muttered.

The receptionist looked at Yumiko.

“Adventurer's Guild registration?”

Yumiko shook her head.

“I haven't registered.”

Mina's eyes widened.

“Oh!”

She grabbed Yumiko's hand.

“Then let's register you!”

They completed Yumiko's registration.

When the receptionist reached the class field—

Yumiko froze.

“What class am I?”

Mina looked at her.

She slowly approached the case.

“What is this?”

The shopkeeper looked over.

“Ah.”

He smiled.

“That jewel.”

Mina nodded.

“It feels strange.”

“It is an enhancement jewel.”

“Enhancement?”

“It can strengthen the abilities of its user.”

She looked at the jewel again.

“That doesn't feel like the whole story.”

The shopkeeper chuckled.

“You have good instincts.”

The three of them stood together.

A witch with a strange mysterious jewel.

An angel with missing memories.

And a chained adventurer who was already regretting every decision that had brought him here.

None of them knew what awaited them in the Kingdom of Veloria.

None of them knew what the Headless Crown truly was.

And Yumiko still couldn't remember who she really was.

But one thing was certain.
