Chapter 1583: Chapter 655: Pure Yang Ancestor Master Pill (2)

However, once a Taoist Artifact truly gains Spiritual Nature, that is an entirely different heaven and earth—an Immortal Artifact!

Ning Zhuo’s gaze flickered, and he thought of the Three Brave of Xiang Sect.

"If I go to war, the Three Brave of Xiang Sect very likely control the Heaven-reaching Hook."

"The Heaven-reaching Hook’s might is extremely powerful. For the Three Brave of Xiang Sect to trigger it, they must fulfill certain specific conditions. And the three of them share Life and Death Together, their greatest skill is to trade life for life, using their own wounds as bait to lure their opponent into the trap they have preset. The Heaven-reaching Hook in their hands is indeed terrifying to the extreme!"

"But if I can gain the recognition of the Yang Fish, I can borrow its power to resist. Even if the Heaven-reaching Hook is activated, I will still be able to defend against it!"

The Yang Fish’s principles, though not as numerous or profound as those contained in the Heaven-reaching Hook, hold a reserve of Pure Yang Power that is the accumulated heritage of Pure Yang Palace through the generations—over a thousand years of mighty foundation.

In contrast, the Heaven-reaching Hook is merely rented, not refined by the Three Brave of Xiang Sect. They cannot borrow the mana of the Three Brave of Xiang Sect through it, and its strength reserves are quite limited.

Ning Zhuo’s eyes fell back upon that Yang Fish’s body. The Yang Fish seemed to sense his gaze, and lightly swayed its tail again in midair; its golden tail fin drew a thin, bright trail of light through the air.

It did not come any closer, still maintaining its distance from Ning Zhuo.

"Relying only on his own Child’s Body and abundant Pure Yang Qi, he can at most reach this step—making the Yang Fish not dislike me, having a bit of interest, and that interest is very brief."

"Chun Yangzi was absolutely right."

"The key still lies upon the Pure Yang Ancestor Master Pill."

Ning Zhuo then took out the Pure Yang Ancestor Master Pill.

It truly was too ordinary—no Pill Fragrance curling about it, no flowing radiance, no clouds and rosy haze supporting it, no Spiritual Patterns entwining it. If it were thrown into a pile of rubble by the mountain path, many Foundation Establishment Cultivators would probably take it for a stubborn stone and kick it aside with one foot.

But when Ning Zhuo held it in his hand, he felt its weight doubly heavy.

It was truly very heavy, pressing down on his hand. Ning Zhuo’s flesh body foundation was vast and mighty, yet his wrist was forced to droop under the weight; his fingers exerted all their strength, and he could barely support it the moment he took it out.

According to Chun Yangzi’s instructions before leaving, the method of ingesting this pill was different from the usual.

It was not to be swallowed by the flesh body, but to be taken into the Divine Sea, to be observed by the Divine Soul, worn down by Divine Sense, borne by intent, and digested by the Dao Heart.

Within this lay its own peril.

When the flesh body swallows a pill, the meridians, Qi Sea, and flesh layer by layer receive it, like rivers entering canals, each having its place to flow.

Entering the Divine Sea, however, is to let the elixir pills face the soul, the thoughts, and the Dao Heart directly, as though casting a blazing sun into the Upper Dantian.

With the slightest misstep, the True Intent of the Yang Path would suddenly erupt; the countless mirror surfaces in the Divine Sea would be seared into a sheet of white incandescence, thoughts burned away, soul wounded—leading to a state of utter ruin, beyond redemption.

Ning Zhuo sat down cross-legged and closed his eyes.

Within his Divine Sea and Upper Dantian, ten thousand miles were without clouds, heaven and earth like a mirror.

The two vast mirror surfaces above and below spread out, flat and smooth like a lake sealed by ice, reflecting all phenomena of Qiankun. Countless small mirrors floated among them, numbering in the tens of millions, like a sky full of stars, or like the innumerable tiny mirror fragments within a colossal Mechanism, each inseparable from the other.

Thoughts were born among them, collided, and were extinguished; occasionally a wisp of Spirit Light would burst forth, like a shooting star gliding across that cold and boundless mirror surface, vanishing in an instant.

Ning Zhuo infused a thread of mana and drew it with Divine Sense. The Pure Yang Ancestor Master Pill lightly trembled, not flying toward Ning Zhuo’s mouth, but instead transforming into a stream of gray light heavy to the extreme, passing directly through Ning Zhuo’s glabella.

Ning Zhuo’s body shuddered in a way almost imperceptible.

In the next instant, the Pure Yang Ancestor Master Pill appeared above his Divine Sea.

At first, it was still a dull gray stone pellet, hanging in midair, quiet and silent like a stone sinking into an ancient well. The countless mirror surfaces around reflected it, yet could not bring forth any anomaly.

But soon, the first crack appeared.

Crack.

An extremely fine, crisp sound spread through this entire world of the Divine Sea.

From the fissure in the pill shell a single strand of golden light seeped out—no more than one—and the sky above the Divine Sea suddenly grew three degrees brighter.

The countless mirror surfaces trembled all at once, as though roused from slumber by a morning bell, and the thoughts within the mirrors all paused in unison for a brief moment.

Crack, crack, crack.

The gray outer shell kept collapsing, and golden light surged out from the cracks, growing ever more abundant, ever more fierce, like a flood smashing through a dam, like dawn tearing apart the long night.

The mundane disguise upon that stone pellet’s surface quickly peeled away, like an ancient mountain that slept for a thousand years suddenly cracking open, and from the mountain’s belly rose a true great sun! Perfect, heavy, overbearing, it hung above the Divine Sea, dyeing the two huge mirror surfaces above and below into a color of Red Gold.

The millions of small mirrors were illuminated into a blinding expanse, their edges emitting faintly crisp sounds, as though they could not endure such grand and blazing radiance.

At the center of that sun, countless characters flowed ceaselessly—precisely the Scripture of the Pure Yang Pill Scripture!

Its content, every word and every sentence seemed forged in gold and tempered in fire.

Beside the Scripture, the music brought forth one blurred figure after another: some sat cross-legged before a Pill Furnace, some stood beneath the blazing sun, some held a Golden Core in their hands, some were draped in a Red Gold Taoist Robe.

Some were young, like the newborn morning sun; some were old, like the afterglow of a setting sun.

Some wore expressions stern as iron walls; some had eyes gentle as a spring breeze.

Some had bodies thin and dry like dead wood; some had Qi Mechanism vast as mountains...

These were the True Intent of the Yang Path left behind by the successive Sect Leaders of Pure Yang Palace, the unbroken inheritance of the Pure Yang Pill Scripture over a thousand years, the understanding and accumulation of many Nascent Soul Cultivators who exhausted their lives on the Yang Dao, Fire Dao, and Alchemy Dao.

They were like inscriptions carved upon golden stone, still blazing bright after a thousand years!

The Yang Fish outside seemed to sense something as well. It swam in midair, the frequency of its tail flicks clearly several degrees faster, its golden scales flashing in the radiance like fragments of flying gold.

Ning Zhuo’s Divine Sea was ablaze!

His thoughts were like scraps of paper thrown into a Fire Furnace, their edges rapidly curling and scorching yellow.

Mirror Stand Spirit Communication Technique!

The countless mirror surfaces at this moment played a vital role—the millions of small mirrors flipped over layer by layer, splitting, refracting, and buffering the overbearing sunlight of that great sun, then sending it bit by bit to Ning Zhuo, doing their utmost so that their master might withstand it.

Even so, Ning Zhuo still felt his glabella swelling as if to crack, and the depths of his soul burning like a branding iron.

Boundless light, boundless heat—and it kept spreading!

The Fire Element Heart Temple opened at this very moment!

Ning Zhuo’s profound Fire Realm also now helped him swiftly comprehend the Pure Yang Path.

On the Yang Path, Ning Zhuo had never undertaken specialized cultivation.

Yet his Origin Yang was abundant, like a deep pool storing water, still and awaiting release. He possessed Pure Yang Qi, like the first light of dawn, bright but not scorching.

His Five Elements Realm had already reached heights difficult for ordinary people to attain.

All this allowed one of his feet to step within the threshold of the Yang Path.

And now, he formally pushed the door open and entered!

In almost an instant, he formally became an apprentice within the Yang Dao Realm.

The reason was but one: this big-headed youth’s accumulation in other aspects was truly rich. Though he had never purposefully specialized in researching the Yang Path, he had long since grown familiar with it.

His alchemy experience told him that if the Yang Fire was too fierce, the medicinal properties would be scorched and withered; if gently nourished appropriately, even withered medicines could draw out one last strand of vitality.

His artifact refining experience told him that if Red Sun Materials were not first relieved of their dry and hot nature, the Artifact Embryo would crack on its own during quenching, shattering with the sound of gold and jade.

His Array Dao experience told him that Yang Energy moves like Array Lines extending; there must be an Array Eye to receive it and an Array Base to anchor it, otherwise the light will merely scatter, the display astonishing in appearance, but in truth wasted like building a tower upon sand.

Not to mention his own Primordial Yang Child Body and Pure Yang Qi, which had already inclined his body toward the Yang Path, granting him an excellent foundation for comprehension.

Ning Zhuo thought of his several experiences of Dual Cultivation.

In Dual Cultivation, when Qi Mechanisms resonate and Yin Yang touch, how Yang Energy is drawn, how it rises and falls with the rhythm of the other’s breath, how it maintains that subtle circulation of vitality between restraint and release—all of this turned into countless tiny motes of light, gently sinking into the depths of the Divine Sea.

He also recalled his various experiences in using the Yin Yang Qi Pot. Within the pot, Yin Yang Qi flowed and rotated, Yin transforming into Yang, Yang entering Yin; in each reversal of One Qi, all was refined to the utmost subtlety.

These feelings that once could only be grasped intuitively, hard to articulate, these experiences that had been scattered and disordered, complex and varied, now all returned to their places, like scattered chess pieces falling onto the board, each one landing exactly where it ought to be.
