Myriad Dragon Divine Sovereign
Chapter 631: Python Transforms into a Jiao
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
The wild wind raged, sweeping the fallen leaves from the ground. In the next moment, the sky itself grew dark. Thunderclouds had appeared out of nowhere. These were not the clouds of a typical thunderstorm; within their black depths, purple lightning quivered like massive dragons.
In the center of the black thunderclouds, lightning gathered with frenzied intensity, emitting a nearly world-ending ripple of power.
BOOM!
That deep rumble, laced with the might of heaven and earth, echoed throughout Red Mountain. The resounding thunder grew louder and louder. The black thunderclouds began to converge at an astonishing rate, dark lightning flashing within them like a black Thunder Dragon writhing its body.
ROAR!
A powerful roar then pierced the heavens, shaking the world in all directions, as if challenging the boundless cosmos and the brilliant might of the heavens.
Through the surging rain of leaves kicked up by the wind, a colossal, ice-blue body could be seen writhing in the depths of the forest before it rapidly began to coil.
It was the Ice Python.
At this moment, its entire body radiated a soul-stirring blue light. Its massive head was raised high, its blood-red maw slightly agape, revealing sharp fangs.
Besides the brilliant light emanating from its body, white light also flashed from its front and rear sections and its head, all of it blindingly dazzling.
RUMBLE!
The black thunderclouds roiled continuously. The purple lightning in their center also kept gathering, faintly revealing a menacing form.
Suddenly, the Ice Python sensed an extreme danger. It knew the moment had finally arrived.
The thunderclouds in the sky abruptly contracted. In the next instant, a hair-raising clap of thunder echoed through all of Red Mountain, with signs that it was even spreading to the surrounding areas.
Under this cosmic pressure, the entirety of Red Mountain trembled. Even the surrounding Primordial Qi began to rapidly dissipate, as if unable to withstand the suppression from the might of heaven and earth.
BOOM!
The black thundercloud was violently torn asunder. A bolt of purple lightning, a hundred zhang long, descended with a tremendous roar like a ferocious Thunder Dragon.
The purple lightning screamed past, tearing a long scar across the void itself. The air filled with the scent of something burning.
The purple lightning bolt connected heaven and earth, as if nothing could stand in its way. It was a force of destruction, a fluctuation of power sufficient to make most people’s blood run cold.
The purple lightning fell with extreme speed. The oppressive, dark sky suddenly brightened, illuminating the head of the Ice Python. The python’s face was fearsome, its body coiled and ready, as it stared fearlessly at the bolt of purple lightning.
The purple lightning was incredibly fast. In an instant, it pierced through the void and slammed viciously down upon the Ice Python.
CRACKLE! CRACKLE! CRACKLE!
The purple lightning battered the Ice Python’s blue body, washing over it like rain. A blinding light then flared, followed by an indescribable shockwave that swept outwards.
On the ground below, massive fissures several zhang wide spread continuously. The trees near the Ice Python were instantly turned to ash the moment they came into contact with the edge of the purple lightning.
After a full thirty breaths’ time, the purple lightning finally halted.
The Ice Python suddenly felt the pressure on its body ease. Its ice-blue form was now tinged with black and gave off a faint, charred smell. In its confrontation with the purple lightning, it had already lost about thirty percent of its Primordial Qi.
It knew that this was only the beginning of the Celestial Tribulation.
…
Qingg Ruo’ai gazed at the composed and dashing figure before her, her heart filled with a shock that was beyond measure.
From the beginning until now, Wen Qingye’s every move—drawing his sword, sheathing his sword—was orderly and fluid. His Swordsmanship was like an antelope hanging by its horns, utterly untraceable. Whether the shadowy figures were incredibly fast or immensely powerful, he slayed them all, turning them into nourishment for his Sword Dao Tree.
Qingg Ruo’ai murmured to herself, “This kid’s Swordsmanship… just how did he cultivate it? It’s completely unheard of.”
At this moment, Wen Qingye’s Killing Lifeless Principle had reached a critical point. He was just a hair’s breadth away from breaking through to the second level of the Earthly Realm.
SWISH! SWISH!
The next moment, Wen Qingye suddenly felt a sharp sword, gleaming with a dark light, thrusting toward him.
CLANG!
Wen Qingye drew his One Thought Sword to block in front of him. A tremendous force instantly traveled from the Sword Body into him.
He stumbled back several steps into the pitch-black void.
‘Such powerful force, such incredible speed,’ Wen Qingye thought, looking at his slightly trembling arm. ‘This shadow is even harder to deal with than the previous ones.’
In the blink of an eye, the shadowy figure charged at Wen Qingye again like a bolt of black lightning, its sword chopping down with Thunderous Force.
A sharp glint flashed in Wen Qingye’s eyes. He could feel the violent aura within the attack, but in the next instant, he raised the sword in his hands by three inches, gripped it tightly with both hands, and slashed forward without hesitation.
BANG!
With a loud crash, a strange wisp of Sword Dao Origin appeared in the pitch-black space.
Wen Qingye’s Sword Dao Tree exerted a powerful attractive force, directly absorbing that wisp of Sword Dao Origin and fusing it into his Tree of Lifeless Sword Dao.
SHHH!
On the Tree of Lifeless Sword Dao, a branch on one side began to grow wildly, emitting a refreshing aura of life.
The Killing Lifeless Principle broke through! Second level of the Earthly Realm.
The Killing Lifeless Principle was the essence of the Lifeless Sword Dao. Its power was unfathomably profound. Having reached the Earthly Realm, the Killing Lifeless Principle was finally beginning to reveal its true might.
What Wen Qingye needed to do now was fuse the Killing Lifeless Principle with other Laws. However, the Lifeless Law was extremely difficult to comprehend. It seemed impossible for him to fuse the Killing Lifeless Principle with the Laws of the Slaying Immortal Sword Dao at this time.
He could only first fuse the Killing Lifeless Principle with the Spiritual Softness Law and the Swift Wind Law. Since all three Laws originated from the Lifeless Sword Dao, this would be comparatively easier.
The shadowy figures that continuously appeared around him were all formed from the Illusion Transformation of Sword Dao Origin. Each one was endlessly sharp and aimed straight for one’s core. In such a dark and terrifying environment, an ordinary person probably wouldn’t have been able to withstand even one of them.
