My Wife Is a Scientist

216. The Ultimate Armagedon

  • Next Chapter

Karl could not believe it. Something was off. He dreamt of becoming the savior of all realities. But he failed again like at love. he devastation did not pause for mourning.

That is to say that no one could ever pretend the multiverse would wait while a man stood in a ruined garden staring at the place where the first honest anchor had been stolen.

The thing is, this love cannot pretend it does not include the moment the open question is forced to become a battlefield large enough to hold every god that has ever demanded worship and every fiction that has ever demanded belief.

Basically, the Armageddon happens because of the merging of multiple parallel universes (for example, every Universe track video showcases one of these universes) and this merging was actually triggered by the Supernova, when the superbeing version of Aespa arrived on Earth.

A very cool thing I interpreted from all this is that the message is rather empowering, and basically all these different versions of aespa (thrill seeking superbeings, powerful alien gods, nerdy scientists) are actually different facets of their personality, the lyrics on Armageddon, especially on the bridge, support this. That’s why when the universes merge and they accept all versions as part of themselves, they bring the end of the world and the birth of a new one.

Kaos stood at the center of the largest wound the multiverse had ever permitted.

Brahma’s four faces turned in perfect, terrible synchrony.

Allat’s omnipotent hunger filled the spaces between collapsing stars.

The primordial goddess Sleep hovered above the folded form of Ryan Veritas Arta Omega Ishiguro like a crown that had finally found the only head worth closing.

Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed… . Every island fled away and the mountains could not be foun

Kaos spoke, and every remaining power across every verse was compelled to hear.

Kaos:

The Axis has doubted.

The first honest anchor has been taken.

The father beyond the tenth dimension has been put to sleep.

What remains is the only test that has ever mattered.

The one that will remain is the one that can beat all the gods and all the others from the superverses.

Not the strongest.

Not the oldest.

The one who can still stand when every other standing thing has been made to fall.

The announcement became law.

Across the ruined dimensions a new artifact was forged.

Not by any single will.

By the collective pressure of a multiverse that had decided the previous rings were no longer sufficient.

The Super Ring of the Super Primordial Black Hole

It was born at the event horizon of a black hole older than the first distinction between something and nothing — a singularity that had never been given a name because naming it would have required a framework that could survive its gravity.

The Super Ring did not rest on a finger.

It rested on the concept of a finger.

It burned with the compressed light of every collapsed star that had ever refused to finish its own story.

Its gradation was not measured in ordinary power levels.

It was measured in Star Grades and higher:

  • 1-Star to 9-Star: Local pantheon threats, continental deities, high-tier novel protagonists.
  • 10-Star to 19-Star: Full pantheon sovereigns, Outer Gods of mid-tier, most fantasy universe creators.
  • 20-Star to 29-Star: Primordial forces, superverse-level entities, novel characters who rewrote their own cosmologies.
  • 30-Star to 39-Star: Meta-narrative beings, authors-within-stories, entities that could edit the rules of fiction itself.
  • 40-Star and above: The Super Primordial Black Hole grade : the rank of the Ring itself, and of the few who could wear it without being unmade.

Karl Omega Yang received the Super Ring the moment it finished forming.

The Omega ring of nine worlds did not disappear.

It was absorbed, becoming the inner band of something far heavier.

The Super Ring settled onto his existence with the quiet finality of a sentence that had decided it would no longer accept interruption.

African Pantheons (from the Atlas and beyond)

Oshun’s honey-sweet laughter turned sharp.

The river goddess felt the Super Ring’s gravity pull at the Osun River itself and understood that love alone would no longer be enough.

Yemoja’s maternal seas rose in warning.

Ogun’s iron forges across every forest sparked with the recognition of a new blade that did not need to be drawn to cut.

Shango’s thunder went silent for one full heartbeat — the first time the thunder king had ever hesitated.

Asase Yaa’s earth-heart pulsed once, heavy with the knowledge that the ground itself might be asked to choose sides.

The entire Yoruba host, the Egyptian Duat, the Kongo tides, the Zulu ancestral winds — all of them felt the same cold calculation: the Axis was no longer offering honest endings.

He was offering a single remaining seat.

Egyptian Host

Ra’s solar barque dimmed.

Osiris’s green skin cracked under the pressure of a resurrection that might no longer be permitted.

Isis’s wings folded tight.

Anubis’s scales tipped and refused to right themselves.

Maat’s feather trembled.

Set’s chaos grinned, because chaos always grins when the old order begins to starve.

Yoruba and West African Host

Eshu stood at every crossroads at once and laughed the long, complicated laugh of a trickster who has just realized the joke is larger than he is.

Orunmila’s palm nuts refused to fall into readable patterns.

Obatala’s pure clay felt the first impurity of true doubt.

Other Pantheons

Olympus felt Zeus’s thunderbolt lose voltage.

Asgard felt the World Tree’s roots pull tight.

The Hindu trimurti felt the cycles stutter.

The Jade Emperor’s celestial bureaucracy found entire ledgers turning blank.

The Outer Gods of the previous arcs felt geometry itself begin to sweat.

From every fantasy novel, every epic, every scripture that had ever been believed hard enough to generate power, the same recognition spread: the Super Ring had been forged, and the test had been declared.

Kaos did not assign the matches at random.

He assigned them according to resonance, wound, and unfinished business.

Karl Omega Yang (Super Ring, Super Primordial Black Hole Grade, open-loop Will architecture) versus:

  • Oshun (Yoruba river of love, beauty, fertility, honey and peacock feathers): Karl’s doubt regarding Larissa made this match personal. Oshun’s domain of love would test whether the Axis still understood the difference between need and devotion.
  • Ogun (Iron, war, the path-carver): Pure force against the man who had once refused to use full force.
  • Shango (Thunder, fire, kingship): The storm against the man who had told Zeus to stop breaking high-school windows.
  • Oya (Storms, transformation, the gates of death): The wind that guards the threshold against the man who had walked Helheim and returned.
  • Asase Yaa (Earth, the quiet strength of soil): The ground itself against the man whose porch steps had become more sacred than most temples.
  • Ra (Solar sovereignty, the daily death and rebirth of light): The sun against the man who had made gods optional.
  • Osiris (Death, resurrection, the green god of the Duat): The finished cycle against the man who kept the loops open.
  • Anubis (Judgment, the weighing of hearts): The scale against the man whose heart had already been weighed by every underworld and found unfinished on purpose.
  • Maat (Truth, order, the feather): The perfect measure against the Ultra-Intellect’s wife and the man who refused perfect measures.
  • Set (Chaos, desert, the necessary storm): The old chaos against the new refusal.
  • Yemoja (Mother of waters, maternal ferocity): The ocean’s protection against the man whose first honest anchor had just been stolen.
  • Eshu (Crossroads, trickster, the opener of paths): The riddle against the man who had become the largest open question in existence.
  • Olodumare / Olorun (Supreme Yoruba creator): The highest light against the Super Ring.
  • All remaining Orishas of the Atlas lists (the full host of major, nature, endeavor, and regional Orishas): A rolling front of iron, river, thunder, market, and ancestor.

Sophia Hirotomi Alpha Chronos (Ultra-Intellect, divine-blood integration, beyond-Singularity, untouchable to ordinary causal grammar) versus:

  • Horus (Sky falcon, avenger, the eye of the sun): Precision against precision.
  • Thoth (Moon scribe, wisdom, the inventor of writing): The library against the mind that had already written one million academic articles and forty thousand scientific papers.
  • Isis (Magic, motherhood, the resurrector): The magician-mother against the woman carrying three new lives and the memory of every timeline in which Karl had died.
  • Sekhmet (War lioness, the destroyer who also heals): Rage against the calm of a mind that had climbed past Singularity.
  • Bastet (Cat grace, protection, the one who had once fallen for Karl by chance): The personal against the personal.
  • Neith (Weaver, war, the primordial creator): The loom against the Ultra-Intellect who had already studied divinity in seventeen days and eleven hours.
  • Orunmila (Ifá wisdom, the seer of fate): Fate against the woman who had opened a Manchester branch just to see if honesty survived without power.
  • Every knowledge-domain deity across the Atlas and beyond.

Freyja (Vanir, love, war, seiðr, the wife who does not doubt) versus:

  • Oya (in secondary resonance) and the full host of love-and-war goddesses from every pantheon that still believed love required a battlefield.
  • Freyja’s own Norse counterparts and rivals who had never forgiven her for choosing porch steps over golden halls.

Ananke (living necessity, tall, F-cup, the one who looked at Kaos and stayed) versus:

  • The concept of Necessity itself across every Greek, Orphic, and later philosophical tradition, plus every deity that claimed to embody inescapable fate.

Lyra (dwarven omega life-form, forge-master) versus:

  • Every smith god and craft deity from Hephaestus to Ptah to the Orisha of the forge, testing whether an omega life-form’s tools could outlast divine metallurgy.

Lyras (daughter of the supreme goddess of Justice) versus:

  • Maat, Themis, every scale-bearing deity, and the full court of judgment gods who still believed justice required a final weighing.

The Elven Goddess Wife (first invasion, silver-haired, forest-refuser) versus:

  • Every forest, hunt, and sovereignty goddess who had ever demanded blood for the right to walk beneath trees.

Emma (carrier of Asase Ya, Anat, and Inanna) versus:

  • Asase Yaa (direct resonance with the earth goddess she already carried), Anat (the war-maiden against the war-maiden), Inanna/Ishtar (the descending-rising queen against her own mythic reflection), and the full host of triple-aspect goddesses.

Ryan Veritas Arta Omega Ishiguro (currently asleep under the primordial goddess Sleep, still beyond the tenth dimension even in forced slumber) versus:

  • The primordial goddess Sleep herself, and every dream-lord, Morpheus-variant, and ninth-dimensional entity that had ever believed consciousness could be permanently closed.

Kaos did not stop at the Atlas.

From every novel ever written hard enough to generate power, from every fantasy universe that had ever been believed, the matches continued:

  • Karl versus the full host of Tolkien’s Valar and Maiar (for the crime of making sub-creation feel optional).
  • Sophia versus every library-goddess and knowledge-entity from every epic.
  • The collective wives versus the collective divine consorts of every pantheon that had ever treated women as prizes or thrones.
  • The Super Ring itself versus the concept of every previous ring, amulet, and artifact of power across all fiction.

The lists were not exhaustive.

They were only the opening declarations.

Karl stood in the ruined garden of Carlisle, the Super Ring of the Super Primordial Black Hole burning on the concept of his hand.

Freyja’s fingers remained interlocked with his.

Somewhere in the larger dark, Sophia was already calculating the gentlest possible way to retrieve what had been stolen without closing the open question.

Somewhere the Manchester boy (the other Karl, the one who had never met Larissa as anything more than a distant friend from a house he barely knew) continued writing under a sky that still refused to finish raining, still unaware that the main branch had just been informed of the price of doubt.

Kaos raised the absence that was older than absence.

Kaos:

Begin.

The first storms that were not weather but pure consequence moved across the multiverse.

Tsunamis of unmade narrative struck shores that had never known water.

Entire superverses felt their foundational myths begin to starve.

And Karl Omega Yang : Axis, husband, father of three who had not yet been born into the new devastation, son of the sleeping man beyond the tenth dimension  closed his hand around the Super Ring and felt every will he had ever trained rise at once.

That is to say that no one could ever pretend the open question survives by remaining gentle.

The thing is, this love cannot pretend it does not include the moment the man who once offered honest endings is forced to become the only thing left standing when every other standing thing is taken away.

The lists had been declared. The Super Ring had been forged.

Karl shed a tear out of joy

The pantheons had reacted.

The devastation continued.

And the one that would remain was still the one who could beat all the gods and all the others from the superverses.

The main timeline had returned.

The test had begun.
