"Brother Xuanxian, you killed Wang Teng?"

Lu Xuanyuan stared at Xuanxian, unable to conceal the shock on his face.

And when his gaze fell upon the Dao Ancestor's Samsara hovering behind Xuanxian, a sharp headache struck him.

He felt as though he were on the verge of remembering something, yet couldn't quite grasp it.

Xuanxian gave a slight nod, then turned his gaze to the other seven and spoke in an even tone.

"Come at me, all of you at once. If you can defeat me, I'll concede."

The moment those words left Xuanxian's mouth, the seven of them could no longer sit still.

A young man stepped forward, his face full of anger.

"What an arrogant thing to say! Xuanxian, I'll admit you're powerful, but if all of us attack together, even Wang Teng wouldn't necessarily be a match!"

The young man who stepped forward was Huang Wenjian of the Huang Family.

As Huang Wenjian spoke, the other six voiced their agreement.

"That's right! Take back what you just said while you still can!"

But to their disbelief, Xuanxian merely shook his head, his gaze turning sharp as a blade.

"I'll strike once with my sword. If you can withstand it, I'll concede on the spot!"

With that, Xuanxian gripped his longsword in one hand, and the aura emanating from him transformed entirely.

Every hair on the seven prodigies' bodies stood on end, as though some unimaginable terror had fixed its gaze upon them.

Before they could react, Xuanxian swung his sword.

To all appearances, it was an utterly unremarkable slash -- something even an ordinary Immortal could execute.

Yet from that single strike, they sensed a lethal threat.

They couldn't take it head-on. They would die.

Four of the seven immediately screamed their surrender, and in an instant they were ejected from the Small World.

They were Li Tianqi, Lin Fenglei, Liu Zhenyuan, and Chen Daogu.

The remaining three gritted their teeth and threw every last card and technique they had into blocking the sword.

It was futile. They couldn't even beat Wang Teng, let alone Xuanxian.

In the next moment, as the Sword Qi swept past them, all three pairs of eyes went wide. Their bodies crumbled to ash and scattered, dead beyond any doubt.

With that, only Xuanxian and Lu Xuanyuan remained inside the Small World.

"Brother Xuanyuan, do you still wish to fight me?"

Xuanxian turned his gaze upon Lu Xuanyuan. A single look was enough to make Lu Xuanyuan feel an immense weight of pressure descend upon him.

Even so, he gritted his teeth, on the verge of challenging Xuanxian to battle.

He was a prodigy. He had his pride, and he would never surrender without a fight.

But before they could begin, a violent tremor shook the Small World, followed by a voice roaring with fury that reached both their ears.

"Damn you! You dare kill the Young Lord of my Wang Family?!"

Both of them were forcibly yanked out of the Small World. Standing before them was Wang Daofeng, his eyes blood-red with rage.

Glancing off to the side, Xuanxian saw Lu Tianyuan and Lu Nianfeng floating weakly nearby, their auras guttering.

And beside them stood a middle-aged man and an elderly figure.

One look at them was all it took for Xuanxian's expression to turn utterly grave.

"Peak Dao Venerables. Are those the Wang Family's two Patriarchs?"

Xuanxian's thoughts raced as he readied himself for a fight.

With his current strength, even if he couldn't kill two Peak Dao Venerables, escaping would still be well within his ability.

At that moment, the Peak Dao Practitioners from the three forces whose prodigies had been slain by Xuanxian also stepped forward, their expressions sinister as they fixed their eyes on him.

"What a vicious brat. He shows no mercy whatsoever. If he's allowed to keep growing, he'll become a scourge upon the entire Dao Realm!"

"Therefore, we should strike now and eliminate him here."

The Peak Dao Practitioners from the Huang Family, the Qin Family, and the Liufeng Sacred Land had all stepped forward.

Behind them stood three Peak Dao Venerables.

Combined with the Wang Family, that made five Peak Dao Venerables in total.

That number gave even Xuanxian pause.

But at that very moment, a figure appeared before Xuanxian, shielding him.

"Who dares make a move against the juniors of my Lu Family?"

It was the Lu Family Patriarch, Lu Guyuan.

With Lu Guyuan's arrival, Lu Tianyuan and Lu Nianfeng, who had been floating near the Wang Family's two Patriarchs on the verge of death, now appeared at his side.

With a simple raise of his hand, their ravaged bodies healed before their very eyes, fully restored in moments.

"Patriarch, you've finally come! You have to stand up for us!"

The moment they saw Lu Guyuan, the two of them latched onto him like drowning men seizing a lifeline and began wailing their grievances.

Hearing this, Lu Guyuan's expression darkened. He turned to face Wang Xiangu and Wang Daoyuan.

"You two. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?"

"Lu, you old ghost, who do you think you are? The Wang Family answers to no one."

Wang Daoyuan let out a cold snort, completely dismissing Lu Guyuan. ℴℴ𝘮

Wang Xiangu, on the other hand, spoke with a jovial smile.

"Old Lu, your clansmen blocked our Clan Elder from rescuing our Wang Family prodigy who had already lost all fighting capability. The fact that we didn't kill them is already quite generous, wouldn't you say?"

"Is that so?"

Lu Guyuan turned to his people.

Lu Tianyuan immediately put on his most pitiful face. "No, Patriarch! The rules of the Three Hundred Forces Grand Tournament were established long ago, weren't they? Life and death are determined by fate, wealth and rank by the heavens. As long as a participant hasn't surrendered of their own volition, outsiders are forbidden from interfering."

"We were simply stopping Daoist Wang from violating the rules of the Grand Tournament."

"But the moment these two seniors arrived, they attacked us without a word and left us grievously wounded."

"If you hadn't arrived in time, Patriarch, we'd probably be dead by now."

"So please, Patriarch, see that justice is done!"

"That's right! Please, Patriarch, see that justice is done!"

Lu Nianfeng chimed in with his own tearful plea.

After all, if they let this opportunity slip, who knew when they'd get another chance to put the Wang Family in the wrong.

With both Clan Elders telling the same story, Lu Guyuan naturally understood exactly what had transpired. He fixed his gaze on Wang Xiangu and Wang Daoyuan, his expression grim.

"You two. The facts are clear enough. Or does your Wang Family intend to break the established rules?"

Hearing this, the hot-tempered Wang Daoyuan was about to charge at Lu Guyuan for a real fight, but Wang Xiangu held him back.

Wang Xiangu spoke with his ever-present smile.

"The Wang Family would never break the rules. However, when it comes to someone who was clearly going to lose -- to not even give him the chance to surrender..."

"Don't you think that's going a bit too far, Daoist Lu?"

As Wang Xiangu's words fell, Lu Guyuan could sense it -- the two of them were already preparing to strike.
