Before ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍long, Xu Feng closed in on the Aberration, spear in hand.

He ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍drove his spear into the Aberration again and again, but every time the weapon made contact with its skin, it failed to inflict any damage whatsoever.

"What?!"

Xu ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍Feng's expression changed dramatically.

The ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍next instant, a devastating force surged from within the Aberration's body, sending Xu Feng hurtling backward.

He flew for dozens of miles before he finally stabilized himself, staring at the Aberration with a deeply troubled expression.

"Can it absorb my power and reflect it back?"

Twenty years of combat had endowed Xu Feng with exceptionally sharp instincts.

From just that brief exchange, he had already analyzed the situation.

At that moment, two more figures appeared at Xu Feng's side — the other two SSS-rank Transcendents.

"Xu Feng, sorry we're late."

One carried a longbow on her back, named Liu Nan. The other wielded a massive golden cleaver, named Tang Yimin.

Both held Xu Feng in the highest respect. Though all three shared the SSS rank, Xu Feng's individual strength surpassed both of theirs, making him the undisputed strongest.

"Be careful. This Aberration can absorb and reflect our power. And its tentacles carry a deadly venom — you absolutely cannot let them hit you!"

Xu Feng spoke with utmost gravity.

Before the other two could even respond, countless tentacles came sweeping in from the distance.

"Watch out!"

All three immediately entered combat, fighting desperately to fend off the endless onslaught of tentacles.

Liu Nan drew her bow without pause, arrows raining down like a storm and severing tentacles in droves.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng and Tang Yimin charged at tremendous speed toward the Aberration's main body.

But upon reaching it, the two still found no angle of attack.

Since the Aberration absorbed and reflected power, any reckless assault would only hurt themselves.

"Split up. No perfect creature exists in this world — not even an Aberration. It has to have a weakness."

Xu Feng spoke gravely.

"Understood."

The two circled the Aberration's body, but its form was impossibly uniform — jet-black blocks without a single discernible vulnerability.

"Damn it. Where? Where's the weakness?"

Xu Feng grew more anxious by the second. As time ticked by, the number of tentacles pouring from the Aberration's body only multiplied.

If they didn't find its weakness soon, they were all dead.

But just then, a voice pierced through space and entered his mind.

"Boss, long time no see."

Though thirty full years had passed, the instant Xu Feng heard that voice, he couldn't help but freeze — and then his entire body went rigid.

That momentary lapse nearly cost him everything, as a tentacle came within inches of striking him.

"Xu Feng!"

Tang Yimin and Liu Nan in the distance saw this and their faces drained of color.

But in the next instant, something extraordinary happened.

The Aberration suddenly froze in place, completely immobilized.

"What?!"

This sudden development stunned both Tang Yimin and Liu Nan.

Far away in the Imperial Capital's command center, Jiang Fengtian's heart leapt with hope at the sight.

Had they won?

Xu Feng, however, quickly recovered. His expression twisted with fury, and he roared.

"Who the hell are you? Show yourself! Second Brother died thirty years ago!"

The voice that had appeared in his mind was one he knew all too well. It belonged to his second brother — Lu Xuanxian.

Lu Xuanxian was, in fact, Lu Xunxian's real name.

As for "Lu Xunxian," that name had only been given to him after he transmigrated to the Tiansheng Continent.

This was also why Lu Xunxian had joined the Lu Family under the name Lu Xuanxian and presented himself to others by that name.

After all, if even he could transmigrate, he couldn't rule out the possibility that his brothers might transmigrate someday too.

So if any of them ever did, they would hear the name Lu Xuanxian and come to find him.

He just hadn't expected to be the one to return to Blue Star first.

The next moment, a ripple spread through the space before Xu Feng, and Lu Xuanxian's figure emerged from within.

Lu Xuanxian's appearance had barely changed between before and after his transmigration. So the instant Xu Feng laid eyes on him, he could hold back no longer and thrust his spear forward with everything he had.

"There's no way you're Second Brother! Who the hell are you?!"

Back then, the three of them had handled their second brother's funeral themselves. They had watched with their own eyes as he was cremated. He was absolutely certain the person before him could not be his second brother — it had to be an Aberration in disguise!

Facing his eldest brother's all-out strike, Lu Xuanxian gave a rueful smile and let the spear land squarely on his body. It didn't inflict so much as a scratch.

An SSS-rank Transcendent sounded impressive enough, but in terms of true power, it was roughly equivalent to an Emperor Realm cultivator. Nothing more.

Seeing the man before him completely unharmed, Xu Feng's pupils contracted sharply. In the distance, Liu Nan and Tang Yimin also noticed the development.

Though they didn't know who Lu Xuanxian was, they knew that if Xu Feng had attacked, the stranger was an enemy.

Seeing them about to make their move, Lu Xuanxian raised a hand and froze both of them in place.

"Boss, I know this might be hard to believe, but the kind of thing you only read about in novels... it actually happened to me. I transmigrated."

Lu Xuanxian slowly recounted his experiences over the past years, though he deliberately omitted everything about the System.

After all, the System's origins were far too outlandish. He hadn't even finished investigating them himself, so he wouldn't be telling anyone.

Listening to Lu Xuanxian's tale, Xu Feng's face was a portrait of skepticism.

"Look, if you won't believe me, then I'll just have to tell everyone about the time you barged into the women's bathhouse and claimed it was 'an accident.'"

"Stop, stop! I believe you, I believe you! So, Second Brother — you really transmigrated?"

The moment Lu Xuanxian threatened to reveal his old embarrassment, Xu Feng panicked and cut him off.

After all, given the level of power Lu Xuanxian had just demonstrated, there was absolutely no need to deceive him. If he wanted something, he could simply take it by force.

"Obviously."

"Good. Then let's find somewhere else to catch up."

Lu Xuanxian glanced up at the Aberration hovering above. In the next instant, it disintegrated into ash of its own accord.

This utterly terrifying display of power left Xu Feng shaken to his core.

In the thirty years since his transmigration, just what had his second brother been through?

After destroying the Aberration, Lu Xuanxian brought Xu Feng along and vanished with a single thought.

When Tang Yimin and Liu Nan could move again, they were shocked to discover that Senior Xu Feng and the mysterious powerhouse had both disappeared.

All of this had been witnessed by everyone in the Imperial Capital's command center.

Their hearts were pounding with astonishment.

Who on earth was the person in the footage? To annihilate a beyond-Dragon-Peak Aberration with a casual wave of his hand.

More importantly, he appeared to share a close bond with the War God.

From his seat at the head of the room, Jiang Fengtian let out a long breath and spoke.

"Regardless of who he is, that man helped us eliminate the Aberration. Treat him as an honored guest of the Dragon Nation."

"Yes, Premier!"
